I want a deeper story content. The back story of the gods, elder scrolls themself. Dragons..etc. So much could be done with the story here that would set eso apart but add to any future elder scrolls game. These past two years have really been bad story wise and wasted opportunity.

As a realistic change, better QOL design.

I'll suggest buff uptime management being axed. It's not fun game design to recast a skill every 10/20/30 seconds just to keep a certain buff active, especially when skills like Magelight and Camo Hunter exist that still have unique activation effects but provide their buff components passively while slotted. I would make all buff skills provide their buffs passively while slotted, and ensure they still have unique active effects for casting.

EDIT: Just look at the popularity of Oakensoul, even post-nerf, to see why this would be a positive change. Everyone knows it isn't meta, but the QOL improvements to gameplay that it provides are so welcome that players are still overwhelmingly choosing to equip it.

Revert to U32. (That's the last update before Account Wide Achievements. It would also fix the U35 nonsense and templar jabs animation. To me it seems like ZOS has really dropped the ball since U32)

One thing they could maybe take a closer look at is how Jumping and Dodge/Roll works.

While dodge/roll does affect your Stamina, I think it could more accurately reflect how much Stamina it drains - light armour drains less stamina than heavy armour, for example. (Maybe it already does and I just don't see it)

I think this should also be applied to jumping, in and out of combat. Jumping in light armour should drain less stamina than heavy armour, in fact it should be near impossible to jump around in heavy armour, weight and gravity at work - and endlessly jumping around definitely isn't remotely realistic.

There's no lack of controversial suggestions here, so I'll add one more: more soloable content, with fewer non-solo-friendly mechanics like one-shots, pin-downs, double levers etc.

But tbh, I actually just want more shiny dyes that aren't tied to trial and PVP achievements. And clothes that dye well.

Created a new character last month. DLC quests amount in first zone is overwelming and becomes chaos even for experienced player.
I would like to have dlc starting quests located at places according to their content, like TG quest in outlaws refuge. Wrothgar quest should be started near orcs' village for instance.
Adding a story mode option where players chose btw dc,eb,ad and are given the quest to the story in order.
So for example i chose DC i already completed glenumbra, so i get the quest to continue the story on the other zone that comes next.

As far as I remember, last story quest in alliance zone directed you to the next zone. Also Coldharbor story end was followed by silver and gold from Cadwell, who ported your character to the according alliance zone. Did they change the order?

Happy holidays to you, everyone else, and everyone at ZOS! (And thanks for the cool free pet!)

The DLC's/prologues don't have to be removed from the towns, they just need different colors for different DLC's.

You can actually play the entire story in order, as doing the main quest leads you from quest hub to quest hub. And during the alliances this even takes you from zone to zone. You would only have to sort out the DLC and non-alliance zone orders though. But yes, ZOS should make it WAY easier to follow the entire game's story from front to back.

What I would want mostly, is unlimited character slots. I have so many ideas for looks, outfits, builds, mounts/pets, and names. Right now I can make none of those come true. I do know this is something unrealistic though, but it is the time of year where wishes do sometimes come true.

Ability to solo dungeons and trials in story mode. Would be very happy to not receive the same rewards, or any for that matter. I just want to be able to enjoy the stories and take in the amazing sceneries and atmosphere that the devs have crafted for us. I want to be able to stop and smell all the roses at my own pace.

    Currently,

Each piece of light armor reduces the cost of dodge rolling by 3%

Each piece of heavy armor increases the cost of dodge rolling by 3%

You might also be overestimating the degree to which Heavy Armor is inconvenient.

You can do lots of stuff in most variants of heavy armor from earth.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qzTwBQniLSc

Some types of armor such as those used in jousting offered significantly less mobility but, that was because the armor was optimized for a very specific purpose that did not require as much mobility and as a result focused more on protecting the person in the armor from the joust.

Some of the things we see in the Elder Scrolls world also suggest that the races are probably more impressive than humans physically IRL.

Agreed that Earth plate armor is more mobile, except... there HAS to be strengths AND WEAKNESSES to armor. If there were no drawbacks to Heavy Armor, then why wear anything else?

Also, Earth is not Tamriel (obviously). Earth armor never had to protect from literal Dragons and giant Trolls swinging tree clubs and magical explosions. So Tamrielic Heavy Armor is thicker, bulkier and heavier. This is entirely acceptable to me.

    Oh hard to choose!

    Remove Crown crates?
    Bring back individual character achievements?
    Better storylines in quests?
    Proper QA testing?
    More character slots?
    More housing slots?
    Ability to decon furnishings?

Spin the wheel & see what comes up.

I would make ESO go back to a subscription-only model so that we could have quality content and less excessive monetization of every single aspect of the game. Currently it's not worth playing without ESO+ sub anyway so might as well drop the excuse for low quality and make consistently good content imo.

I'd unban Zazeer & @Panda244 and bring back Wrobel, LOL

though those guys probably wouldn't come back even if they were paid to do so lol

@Azrael01 if you're still poking around, please tell Zazeer that he's amazing, wherever he is. The day he liberated Thornblade from AD all those years ago is still my favorite thing to ever happen in gaming.

also @Lord_Hev please tell Panda he is loved and I still appreciate what he did for me

Add a story mode and solo reward free version of each dungeon you can do as often as you want but with difficulty similar to overland easiness and paper tiger bosses so people don't try to use the dungeons just to play solo and just for the storyline and immersion.

I still feel like the best solution for solo mode dungeons is to allow us to bring 3 companions into them. Because:

    1) Normal mode dungeons are already easy with a full group.
    2) No need to rebalance every dungeon in the entire game with a third mode, as well as increase workload for all future dungeons. Only need to edit the few dungeons with teamwork elements for door opening etc.
    3) No immersion breaks when NPCs frequently refer to you as part of a group of heroes.
    4) Extra incentive to unlock, level up, gear up, and improve rapport with multiple companions, improving the value of that existing gameplay system.

If I could only make one change, I'd make it so that I had to personally sign off on any subsequent changes to the game prior to their implementation ;) If it doesn't get my approval, it doesn't happen. Or if not me personally, a trustworthy member of the community instead. Sawman would be the most amusing, Nefas would probably be safer ;)
