Just great, because I was using it on my solo stamcro, after switching from the bow. 5th time an update breaks my build.

You guys needs to stop caring about meta or you'll end up going crazy... Its not healthy.

I made my the healthiest move by deleting the game and moving to another one. In case if I return, housing, overland and one trial and dungeon runs for a quest are gonna be my endgame.

I stopped playing ESO a month ago, and moved onto more enjoyable games. Currently I'm playing Horizon Zero Dawn and very much enjoying it! :)

Having spent all that money on ESO has left a bitter taste in my mouth, quite frankly I feel seriously ripped off and cheated.

Not bad as a nightblade. I really liked the challenge that the new dungeons bring on veteran difficulty.

The PvP will be more broken than ever, so that's a bummer and probably have to avoid it for a while, as i don't want to join the cheese squad.

But in overall, i'm kinda in between. Not thrilled, but the new dungeons were very positive surprise

    NB enthusiastic:
    1. Woodhippie stamblade - DW hard-hitter / PvE
    2. Know-it-all elf Magblade - Healer / PvE & PvP
    3. Hate-them-all elf Magblade - Destrostaff AoE monster / PvE
    4. Cyrodiil-Refugee stamblade - Stamina Tank / PvE

    Go dominion or go home

If by an unbuffed dummy you meant 6m or 3m one, then your dps is just about fine. You can still hit for more (I think 40k on such a dummy was a limit before the update, if you're really into soloing, not just overland and arena stuff), if you adjust your build (and skill?).

I meant the dummy with 26kk health, without optimized buffs. This one. I don't see myself getting back to where I was before. Also, my motivation to redo my build again is gone because it's likely that by the time I'm done, everything will change again.

    Why does this exist lol

How long were you playing ESO for, at what sort of rate/month and how does that compare to how long you'll play the new game? People are never ripped off and cheated if they're enjoying a game they're paying for, they're getting value for money, and if they stop enjoying it but carry on paying then they're ripping themselves off.

I did only a quick test in overland (Coldharbor) and solo normal Blessed Crucible. The character is a healer magPlar wearing SPC, Mother's Sorrow and Nerieneth. Yesterday Sweeps deleted 60k HP overland monsters on about 7th tick of Sweeps, no proc sets needed. Today it consistently took 3 full casts of Sweeps and one proc of Nerieneth. The same monsters now die to two lightning staff heavy attacks, with the only active buffs being SPC and Empower. Simple heavy attacks do more damage than Sweeps, in a bigger area and at a distance of up to 28 meters, all without a heavy attack build. I didn't even use the blue CP star that adds 15% damage to heavy attacks.

Blessed Crucible will be one of the pledges this Sunday. I know I'm going to do it until I get my Noble Duelist lightning staff. See you in the PUGs.

So far tested both my stamina Sorc 2h stampede toon and my oaken soul 2h NB onebar....

Lost 40k Burst DPS according to CMX with the stamsorc and about 20-30k burst on the NB.

Either way that's a 33% loss in DPS and it took my fast, fun an tanky toons down into the crapper....

Both toons revolved around Carve, Stampede, Merciless Charge maelstrom weapons, and Venomous Smite sets (more to it but I'm not a good weaver, I'm freaking disabled so...)

Oh and I don't PvP because there's absolutely no way to balance this game for PvP and PvE because ZoS won't isolate functionality between the two and I don't enjoy PvP....

Just did vMA and it took me 46mins longer to complete then last patch, I usually do it in 32mins so thats 78mins in total to complete. Its not harder, content is the same but I feel WAY underpowered compared to before... in fact in my 8 years of playing this is the the most underpowered I have ever felt playing Templar.

I can get use to being underpowered but if content is going to take me 2-3 times longer to complete then I wont be playing a lot of content anymore, sad truth.

Hopefully qtr 4 DLC contains fixes, either boost damage or reduce mobs health to compensate.

Reading reports like these makes me feel so sad; nerfing power is one thing, but taking more than double the time to run something (especially when its older and familiar content) is excessive and not fun.

Only vet bosses (not arena bosses mind you) got their hp reduced by 10%. My dps went down ~15%. Dummy parse dragged on. Boss fights will take even longer because there will be more time for repeating mechanics.

Didnt they also reduce boss hp 10%?

your 31-26kdps is not far off the theoreticle mob hp of 31k - 27.9khp. only slightly harder just by those 2 stats alone

Only on veteran difficulty, and not at all in arenas.

Normal content players got hammered, while the “obscene damage” crew ZOS was complaining about got a gift.

I hear you! I moved on to FFXIV and even doing some AC Valhalla. Sadly, Hogwarts Legacy and Marvel's Midnight Suns have both been delayed until first quarter next year, so that sucks. Other than that, haven't been missing ESO's "always have to change to shake things up" attitude. There are many other things they can do to keep players amused besides reinventing the wheel, or in this case, fixing something that isn't broken (at least not in the way they thought would fix).

I'll be honest, I've been using a simpleish static rotation on my MagDK for quite a while now. It was one of skinnycheek's 15 second static rotations. It worked well everywhere and used tri-potions instead of expensive spellpower pots. It wasn't the meta top DPS build by any means, but got me to almost 100k on vet Telaria (final boss in DSR) and worked fine for trash fights too so I didn't have to bother with completely changing my setup every encounter like some of my sweaty friends do.

It feels bad now. With the changes to only SOME DoTs, my static rotation doesn't exist anymore without overcasting or undercasting certain skills. My back bar skills (stampede, degen, eruption, carve) ALL have different cooldowns now.. none of them the same (15, 24, 18, 32) which is rather annoying. My front bar DoTs (englufing, venomous claw, talons, flames of oblivion) are basically the same since only two of the skills were changed but equally, so that's fine, but none of them line up well for a static rotation so it feels like I'm staring at my bar half the time.

This is fine.. I just have to use a dynamic rotation now or try and re-arrange things to fit better, but I liked to recommend my rotation to newer players because the 15 second static was a really easy way to get some nice damage numbers to get into trial groups. I didn't expect rotations to get harder in any way with all the DoT time changes, but in my personal experience, this feels harder. Maybe it's just me resisting change, not sure. I'm going to have to spend the next day or two fiddling with rotations to get used to it though.

It's really good. It reeled in high end damage to lower the ceiling, and buffed the low end to raise the floor. accessibility.

Where do you see buffs to the low end in all of the U35 changes, outside of the statement of intent? Looking for specifics.

I assumed it to be a sarcastic post.

Clearly "low end" players, who will have far more difficulty adapting to the losses in damage and healing, are more affected by the blanket nerfs than "high end" players.

I also assumed it to be a sarcastic comment.

However, I suspect that a lot of players would lump me in with the "low end" players, and so far I'm honestly unable to tell much difference in how my Stamblade and Stamsorc mains are performing.

I think the degree to which the changes impact each player will probably have more to do with how they normally play. If they normally use HAW or MAW, they might not notice much difference. Actually, even someone who normally uses LAW might not notice much difference if they don't normally use tightly-timed rotations designed to generate maximum DPS.

Also, one's AP distribution may influence how much of an impact they notice, since (as I understand it) damage is now a flat number rather than scaling off of your Maximum Stamina or Maximum Magicka. Assuming they went with a flat number that's somewhere around the middle, someone with 64 AP in Stamina or Magicka is likely to feel nerfed, someone with 64 AP in Health is likely to feel buffed, and someone with 32 AP in Stamina or Magicka is likely to feel that nothing much has changed. (If I've misunderstood how the "non-scaling" damage works, would someone please explain it to me?)

My favourite bit is the bit where they said they'd go through all of the health of the elites and bosses in trials and dungeons and "[t]he reduction in health for each boss will vary from encounter to encounter", but then just slapped a 10% decrease on all of their health and dusted their hands like they'd actually achieved something.

I guess it depends on what they meant by "from encounter to encounter." A 10% decrease in health on each boss is going to vary in amount depending on each boss's original health; and each boss's original health varied depending on whether it was in a normal or veteran dungeon.

    Hmm this patch.

    Lets see.

    Less dmg = Less Fun.
    Less Players = Less Fun.
    Slower rotations = Less fun.
Literally VMA weapons that are broken <VMA destro> = Less fun

    Fun:
Two new dungeons to try and form group with a player base that is running for the hills. = Fun?
