Empower buffs heavy attacks by 80 percent so they may be fine if you can get and keep empower buff up. They made so many changes that most builds probably need some adjustments.

I'm still patching but I'll try using Blazing Spear as spammable first. If it turns out to be too viable though, I'm almost certain that it will be nerfed in November.

Ty for the advice but I am a cranky old and very stubborn lady.

Am fed up with all the latest changes and direction of the game.

Am going elsewhere, just thought I would come here and see what people say.

I am a Templar I still use magicka and still wearing the same armor I had after no-proc.

    I am obsolete.

Same as what I experienced on PTS, needless to say.
Overland content, till solo basic dungeons and WB's stays more or less the same, maybe a tad slower, but not big deal (I run templars).

I've yet to try more demanding tasks, like arenas and vets, so cannot speak about them.

Where do you see buffs to the low end in all of the U35 changes, outside of the statement of intent? Looking for specifics.

It's still very strong in PvE.

Also I'm glad they didn't nuke channeled heavy attacks with the medium weave nerf.

    U35 released? i'm confused...the world didn't end.

The only thing I have noticed so far is having to update addons again. So much for the patch-pocalypse.

We just tried dueling with friends so speaking from this aspect:

    Spammables hit weak.
    DoTs are even weaker.
If you press your heal buttons, you won't be killable. Especially with vigor on.
As a NB or Templar standing still (rune for templar), my health did not even move under pressure.
Warden, Necro and Sorc pressure were not enough.
    DK DoTs are also weak.

Healing was already too much in PvP by HoT stacking and now there is not enough damage to counter it.
If you can't be killed or kill others it wouldn't be enjoyable PvP. Unkillable tank meta is not fun.

Ps. Tested without cp's. I don't know about Mara's balm or proc sets.

    Edit: Typo

People left already week 1. Game will be hit hard in two weeks after people realize that dots have new timers <those that stare at walls rather than patch notes>, and they lost so much dmg.

People will leave once they realize that they spent MANY hours in VMA getting that nice destro staff.
And. It. Doesn't. Even. Work. Anymore.

    Same armor, same skills.

The trial dummy got buffed by over 15%, so the same numbers mean very different things.

ETA: the exact range depends on your build, but the buffs are likely to add at least 15% to a build.

did a random normal. as a Breton magDK (PvP build). Lair of Maarselok. couldn't use my main spammable (Molten Whip) after 10-15 seconds. was out of Stamina. so i had to DW HA a couple of times. an awesome experience, truly. i can't wait until i get stunned or immobilised in PvP and will either
    • not be able to break free, as i have spent most of my Stamina using my main source of damage
    • be able to break free but no longer be able to use my main source of damage, as i have no more Stamina
    yeah, a great update, inedeed..

The real question is whether this is more illustrative of Hanlon's razor or a neferious plot to hide the nerfs.

Just did vMA and it took me 46mins longer to complete then last patch, I usually do it in 32mins so thats 78mins in total to complete. Its not harder, content is the same but I feel WAY underpowered compared to before... in fact in my 8 years of playing this is the the most underpowered I have ever felt playing Templar.

I can get use to being underpowered but if content is going to take me 2-3 times longer to complete then I wont be playing a lot of content anymore, sad truth.

Hopefully qtr 4 DLC contains fixes, either boost damage or reduce mobs health to compensate.

Trial dummy yesterday and today after the patch.

    Same armor, same skills.

The trial Dummy was given several buffs that the pre-U35 dummy did not have, equating to you getting a bonus of around 15% damage compared to before.

So in conjunction with the other nerfs you may see little difference between yesterday and today. Unless you do actual content. Then you will see a difference. The harder the content, the more you will feel it.

I also had a fight against a worldboss and again i did the same damaged or event a bit more, of course, maybe you could say as well the worldboss gave me 15% more damage .

We are easily 500% more dps and heals then early eso.. thats the direction we need to get back to.. none of this 1shot crap. much lower but balanced dps and heals and pve mobs adjusted to those levels!

That's showing a lot thanks to Relequen, which wasn't changed from U34. DPS from Rele increased from 6451 to 8454. That's an increase of 31% and shows you the difference made by the new trial dummy buffs. Burning Light alone dropped from 8451 to 3944, and that's despite U35 dummy inflating it by around 30%.

SkinnyCheeks made a video about the Dummy and came to around 20% buff with the new Dummy additions they coincidentally added in parallel to the biggest DPS nerfs provided since ages.
But yes, will deviate on class and skill / set being used.

There is no flat number, not even an “about.” That’s why I went with “at least.”

Math-wise builds could be buffed by 9.5% to over 15% (I saw one parse comparison showing +18%) before the addition of EC to the dummy, which could only have helped.

I understand that SkinnyCheeks and other content creators want to simplify that for general audiences, but the math is much more complicated than that.

ETA: I was getting a 13.5% buff when SkinnyCheeks was saying 15%, before EC. I had 120%+ effective crit damage before EC was added, without Backstabber or Fighting Finesse, so EC is not going to be buffing my build by an additional 6.5% to get to SkinnyCheeks’ current 20%. Just as an example of why 20% does not fit all here.
