Why ESO did not turn out to be what people wanted.

F2P favours the players spending the most money, thats a bad system.
Why? It is good... for those who ready and willing to spend. You can't just ignore them.
@d0e1ow: There is no singular thing within a game's little ecosystem that will convince you that you hate the game, hate your life, and hate everyone around you faster than the game's official forums will.

@TaffyIX: Life is too short to get upset by a video game.

I think the problem is very clear:

One half whine that it isn't an Elder scrolls game
The other half whine that it isn't WoW (meaning, you can die in this game)

And there we have it; the reason why this didn't turn out to be what people wanted.

Because primary focus in an sub game is a to keep you subscribing.
primary focus in an F2P game is to find how to get you to use the shop more.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

I think it's the best MMO I've played in a good amount of time.

I've enjoyed other MMOs in the past few years (mainly SWTOR), but ESO is far ahead.

I think too many people are far too damn short-sighted that they can't see past the single player ES experience. Enjoy ESO for what it is, not what it's not...because it's damn good at being what it is.

Personally i like the mmo side its why i bought the game, i expected Elder Scrolls online....

    What i didn't expect was...
    • bugs
    • broken gameplay
    • dungeons being finished by other players
    • Quests being finished by other players
    • gold farmers and bots ruining the game
    • Chest rewards not being segregated
    • no bag space
    • no bank space
    • hardly any loot
    • terrible community
    • horrible service
    • horrible forums
    • maintenance twice a week forcing me to play other games while i'm paying a subscription...
meh in two months i'll walk away much wiser, never again touch a Zenimax product no matter the title..

When was the last large MMO that we all remember that did not start with no bugs at all not a one? You must get disappointed a lot with such high expectations.

I like how you only focus on bugs and completely ignore the rest of the list. Probably because it is harder to transfer it on other mmos. Except for the community. You guys arent that bad, only extremely biased.

Because a copy-paste of complaints is a rant, not a subject for discussion. The list is a mix of things that have been exaggerated (like bugs), design decisions that were clear in advance (bag space, bank space, loot), opinion that I flatly disagree with (I get cool items from loot; the in-game community is very good and helpful, with the usual issues with general chat; customer service has been very good), and hypocricy (complaining about bugs and complaining about downtime to fix them.) It also appears to be demanding terrible design decisions, e.g. the co-operative incentives in the game lead to people being able to help with quests and dungeons. In short, it's the sort of thing that I'd expect from someone who only bothered to play in beta and has been trolling forums and accumulating lists of problems to throw at people who are actually playing the game.

This, end of story (unless we are not counting as "people")
