Today was the day I didn't think I'd do any of them on anyone. But then I was in Blackwood doing quests (still need 6 on my main account main to qualify for Water's Edge), and wound up running through Doomvault Porcixid 3 times (because I couldn't figure out how to get to the skyshard to begin with, and I didn't know there was a second quest in there other than for Khud af-Hadajja - Love among the fire). So after all that, I had completed Kill 10 Bestial Daedra and Kill 4 Dangerous Foes.

*shrug* I wasn't about to go through all that on the others though. Their turn will come when it's their time to work on quests for the house....

Today's actually turned out to be pretty easy. The one ship in the harbor in Glenumbra (the Lydia) made the "steal 20 objects" trivial, because all the stuff in the hold - barrels of liquor, crates, food on tables, etc - counted. With no NPCs around at all.

And then one visit to that NW Morrowind delve (the one where the cultists are summoning Daedra, so you kill three dudes, then two basic Daedra are summoned, then an elite Daedra is summoned, in multiple places) cleared Bestial Daedra & 4 Dangerous Foes before I'd even gotten halfway through.

Yah, I thought about that for the other three (because there's a boatload of Daedra there as you noted) - but by the time I got done with the first one (after doing all my crafting etc) it was already 3pm so *shrug*. I'm in no hurry.

Here's the one thing I really like about the daily endeavors. If for some reason there are only two that I can do, I still get ES for those two. You don't have to complete all of them to get any seals at all. I like that it's not an all or nothing proposition.

Today's was very easy. I went to Sanguine's Demesne Public Dungeon in Shadowfen, put poison on my weapons right when I entered, and had 3/3 endeavors done in under 10 minutes ( a couple of minutes were spent waiting for a boss or 2 to respawn). Wish every day was that quick.

It took only about five minutes to equip some poisons on a destro staff (!) on a level 12 alt on my 3rd account and do about 3 dolmens on the dolmen train in Alik’r. Got the first 2 endeavors done on a single dolmen (kill bestial Daedra and 4 “dangerous” mobs). The poison endeavor took a couple more dolmens since I was low level with no gear and the dolmens were crowded. Easy-peasy. Didn’t have to steal anything, which would have taken a bit longer.

I just did a couple of loops through the Public Dungeon in Greenshade with poisons equipped. Got all 3 done at once in the same place. Super easy day.

I put poison on my weapon and did the Fighter's Guild daily. This completed kill beastial Daedre and 4 dangerous mobs, and got over half the poisons one completed, plus rapport with Mirri. I find you can often combine 2 or more endeavors into a single activity.

Honestly after two weeks. Im absolutely confused as to what drives to amount of endeavor payouts. Not sure if the amount today was tied to it being a holiday here in the US or it was just an outlier. But nothing about today seemed to be any more difficult to accomplish than any other day. Maybe with a few more weeks a pattern will appear that I can recognize. But so far it just seems like theres no rhyme or reason behind what we get.

It's disappointing that Mid-year Mayhem and Imperial City celebration are the only two events I am able to do all year round.

As a resident of Tamriel bound to Cyrodiil, never to leave, I am not part of the Undaunted, so cannot do that event.

I can not visit Wrothgar, or Clockwork City, or Vvardenfell so can not do those celebration events, or Eastmarch for the New Life Events.

I am not a Jester so can not do those events.

    This is majorly disappointing.

I'm not really happy with the execution. Kill a delve boss really means kill a flag guy. Kill a giant really means kill a ogre in Bonesnap. Spend 5-6 hours questing including soloing a 3 or 4 dolemans and only get credit for killing 10 bestial deadra at literally the last minute because if the bear or companion touches something it doesn't count. I had to kill 13 or 14 vampires to get credit for 10. Endeavors don't seem ready for prime time.

Hmm. Whereas, I killed a Giant in the rift (walked a few yards from a waypoint to find it), killed the Bestial Daedra in about 5 minutes (went to a Delve full of Daedra summoners, also full of elite mobs that counted for Powerful kills), and got 10 vampires by killing 10 vampires in a graveyard in Cold Harbor. Quick & easy.

That said - yeah, kills made by your pets should definitely count as kills by you.

They seem really glitchy but I don't mind that they went live with them. It doesn't really matter if I'm not able to get them done and it's nice to be earning the new currency.

One of those rare cases where going live with something still in a beta state is fine.

The only one that has seemed glitchy to me is the one about killing enemies with weapon skills.

Sometimes I kill 2 enemies one after the other and get credit for both.

Sometimes I kill 2 enemies one after the other and get credit for only 1.

Sometimes I kill 2 enemies one after the other and get no credit for either.

I've been trying different scenarios to see if I can figure out what's going on-- easier now that it's one of the weekly endeavors and I have a lot of enemies to kill-- but so far I can't find any pattern or explanation.

By the way, this is on a character who has no combat pets, hasn't unlocked the companions yet, and no class skills slotted on his front and back ability bars, so those possibilities are ruled out from the start.

He does have Soul Trap slotted, but I've been careful not to cast Soul Trap while monitoring the kill count to try to figure out what's going on. I guess I can't rule out the possibility that Soul Trap is being auto-cast by the game, except the enemies aren't glowing with the Soul Trap effect when they die.

I've tried spamming weapon skills by themselves, without using any light or heavy attacks at all, but that made no difference.

I've tried spamming light and heavy attacks by themselves, without using any slotted skills-- thinking maybe "weapon skills" meant damage by the weapon itself rather than by a skill in the weapon type's skill line-- but that gave me no credit, so it does seem to be the actual skills from the skill line.

The only possibility I can think of is additional damage that's coming from something like bleeding damage or some CP perk. However, I've killed enemies with one swing from a weapon skill while an enemy had only a sliver of health left and received no credit for it.

I feel confident that there's a legitimate explanation, but I'm going to stop worrying about it and just keep killing enemies with weapon skills until I complete the endeavor.

I was having a problem with that too, until I realized I still had poison on my weapon from yesterday. When I removed the poison it was much more reliable.

I also put away my companion so nothing else would interfere.

I don't have poison on my weapon, so that isn't it.

But one other possibility I thought of is that it might be my weapon enchantment-- Life Drain, which deals magic damage and restores some health.

The killing blow has to come from the weapon skill. If anything else kills it, including procs from enchants or poisons on your weapon, or light/heavy attacks, it don't count.

A lot of weapon skills can proc status effects like bleed/burning, those also don't count.

The same is true of killing powerful foes the other day, it only goes to the person who did the killing blow. I was helping a friend try to get this done and we killed several in different places

6 dungeon bosses in FG so he could finish his 3 dungeons, he only got credit for 1 of them. We were both nightblades (stealth) so we only needed to kill 2 bosses each run, did 3 runs.

Then I took him to a delve and wb, also didn't get credit. Finally I figured it out after we killed a public dungeon boss I had used to get credit. And I stopped helping on the next public dungeon boss and he got credit.

I find it's consistently rewarding credit if you get the killing blow on something using whatever they tell you to use, if anything.

The problem with a lot of these are they are being micro managed. If you use a weapon skill to kill an enemy it shouldn't matter if you also had poison damage, or if your friend also hit the mob, or if your hit was the first or the last. You still used a weapon skill to kill a mob.

They need to lighten up and not be so nit picky with a lot of these.

I dunno. I think the point of that particular endeavor is to encourage players to try slotting and using some of the skills from their chosen weapon type's skill line, as opposed to, say, a class- or guild-related skill line. So in that case, it seems fine the way it is, and we should all stop worrying about whether a particular kill did or did not get counted, and just keep killing until the endeavor says it's completed.

Companion Kill Stealing shouldn't be a thing for the "kill X using Y" quests .

A lot of times, the kill numbers are off, because the companion happened to throw in a last minute shot and steals your kill.

I don't mind the companions tagging along and assisting on the journey, but their contribution to the mission, shouldn't be dragging out the completion of said mission.

Other than that... I really enjoy this new Endeavor system.

Mostly quick, easy things to do while out adventuring and doing things I'm already doing anyway.
