Isn't the endgame of every single MMO just a massive grind any way?
Grind for gear, grind for achievements, grind for stats, grind for rankings... you don't HAVE to be veteran 10 to enjoy the games features, just play and enjoy the content while you work your way up there.

I found it just as fun as making a alt on another alliance leveling. It's pretty much the same thing minus the quests with the Prophet.

I thought it was a brilliant idea, I was like awww now i have to start a new game (being careful not to put in spoilers) then i touched something somewhere and bam i was able to use the character i have been building and getting very comfortable with in a different alliance and yet still be in my own alliance.

Then play the content and have fun, ignore that you even have veteran levels, as I said you don't NEED to be veteran 10 to do the veteran dungeons, Cyrodiil PVP or quests in the other factions zones.

Find what is fun for you and just do it, eventually you will level up.

You seem like a smart lad. I'm certain you can find ways to have fun in veteran rank content.

I'm looking forward to it myself... whole new lands to explore.

im lvl 38 in planetscape 2 i got 3 tier x in world of tanks, 3 tier 8 in world of warplanes, im not stuck on this game

Worst grind ever was for hides in Age of Conan.

And general questing in Aion Online.

Unless you are hell-bent on PvP, I see no reason to be veteran rank anything above 1. I'd rather see new content with additional levels.

But this is a console game, so who are we kidding. Leveling is too easy.

if game to easy then really not worth playing, I would say that more team play is needed ,example gw1 death penalty in fow now that's fun, played that game for years then they made gw2 to easy to complete game .this is reasonably easy mind you not really gone far complete game to early then will give up move on,
1 of the many reasons I am not playing gw2

The death warrant for most new MMOs is lack of end game content. SWTOR was a great example. Had a blast leveling, got to end game, had T3 gear within the first couple months. Then....nothing. New patch, new instance, completed in 2 days, then nothing....

Level 1-50 I enjoyed the quests of my home areas.
Rank 1-10 I enjoyed the quests of the other two.

    How is it any different?

    So what's your complaint here?
You say you don't want to grin veteran levels and you want to play for fun, you can do that!
It seems you have invested time in other games, though did you pay for the faster speeds in those or do pure grinding.

If you don't want to grind the veteran levels then don't do it! Just go and play something you enjoy in the game, do veteran content for fun and when you do level awesome!

world of tanks was easy to grind- real $ = quick progress.

But yes, I agree...this game seems not so much of a grind. Not that a little bit of a grind ever killed anyone before.

You have to think of the other two zones as 5VR levels each. which equates to about 80 regular levels, 40 per alliance. have fun because it will feel like lvling to 130 when you are done!

You gain vet levels the same way you gain regular levels; by doing quests. There are only 10 levels, and 2 factions left, after math thats 5 vet levels per faction rather than 45 levels per faction (-CH).

If you mean the difficulty is what is causing the grind then I wonder what the surprise is. These are veteran ranks, they are intended to be more difficult rather than a "breeze". I find the difficulty refreshing and enjoyable. If I were to be opposed to the difficulty I can still experience that same content by rolling a character in that faction without interfering with those who enjoy the difficulty.

This guys grammar sucks as much as this entire thread. As for veteran ranks, I think it's an awesome concept they can keep adding onto with real endgame.

You paid for a service, if that service don't suit your needs, stop using it.

Or at least make productive critics, but the services company can listen to you or not, they don't have any obligation to change their service for you.

I love these threads of QQ :D

    /tastes the tears

    Mmmmm they taste so good!

I imagine next they will complain about Veteran Dungeons being too difficult ... oh wait that's already happened!

I imagine they will complain about being killed by another players in PvP because they have better gear and skills ... Oh I think that happened well!

I'm going to complain about the complainers lack of imagination with their complaints!

So OP is saying that ESO is grind, and considers PS2 not grind... PS2 of all things is pure grind experience, it is PvP grind ofc, but grind nevertheless. ESO is quite enjoyable questing wise, just lvling after VR1 is slower. I really like VR content and it's challenge, much better than 1-50

The vet content is fun if you enjoy doing quests and learning lore probably. It's dreadful if you're like me and don't fit into that category. Being forced to do nearly every single quest, anchor, and public dungeon on a map, just to get 1 rank, is just bad design. The worse part is you can tell ZoS designed it this way to artificially slowdown the leveling process(what other reason for the above and the lack of VP from mobs?).

I knew this day would come... where the casuals finally reach Veteran rank and complain that its too hard and takes too long, eventually nerfing the entire game.

It was foretold in the elder scrolls.
