Everyone forget they offered two other boats for sale on murkmire launch right? Fishing and vka are not the only boats in game and im sure more will be added to crown store
This nord boat comes from vka is all.
Murkmire boat

Weird. I do end game trials and housing. We do exist. It's rather easy to get so I wouldn't change anything.
There are many items behind achievements and such and I find it a good thing. Makes the reward worth it and not everything should be handed to you freely.
It's MMORPG, not Sims or Cities: Skylines.
They seem to want boats to be a very special reward for hard activitities in the game.
I really would love the fishing boat, but I really can not get me to catch around 10.000 fish for the achievment. It's not like fishing is a 'fun' thing to do.
So second boat that is attainable is locked behind a vet trial. I've done trials but never a vet one. Maybe one day eh.
I've learned to live without boats, and you know what, it seems I can do just that

So if you were a dedicated fisher or decorator? You would use BiS DPS gear for what? Its certainly not impossible to do vKA with what you can uptain now ingame?
Might have been me not quite reading the joke correctly 🙃

So you mean Thrassian Stranglers?
There are always options, you can:
1. Grind bunch of gold and buy the carry.
2. Work on completion of the trial
The boat is very underwhelming, not sure why people are so hung up on it. I really did not get it, I defeated Lord Falgravn on a highest difficulty and was awarded... a boat... to fish?.. Very confusing O_o
Statues of the Dragons were more suitable achievement furnishing for hard content completion imo.
I don't like it.
Even worse than that, someone was saying that some of the antiquities furnishings may only be available via PVP.
That's just all kinds of wrong...

If you mean PVP zones, that's not so wrong. Just invis all the way to the excavation sites.
I've managed to grab all the skyshards of Cyrodiil + IC minus the 4 faction-locked ones with my Vampire Nightblade crafter. 0 deaths.

There are no dig sites in Cyro, but some of the treasure maps give leads there for other zones. Not a big deal, just go no cp campaign and you won’t see any players around.
The Alessia statue lead from Battlegrounds though, I haven’t got that one yet. I’ve done about a dozen BGs so far. Solo queuing has not improved the lack of enjoyment factor there.

You have, literally, written that directly under the comment of someone saying it is impossible for them.
The issue isn't requiring people to do things to get certain things.
The issue is giving people, who don't even do a certain area of the game, something they won't even use; while leaving people, who do the area of the game it is designed for, without any way to get it.
It's just inanely stupid and unthoughtful, in terms of design, quite frankly.
It is not an island defender simulator either, so it would be fair, I guess, to lock some BiS gear behind Count achievement, Grand Master Decorator achievement or something like this.I love the idea some items are harder to get because after all it is, again, a MMO, not a housing simulator. There are tons of free items to get, not all should be achieved easily. You are more proud of items you work for.
I didn't realize it was the VET trial required, and now I'm upset. Just doing the trial? Sure, I can do that with my guild. But I can't qualify for my guild's vet trial group because I don't do enough DPS and this is after doing the best I can with my gear and skills. I have a physical disability that prevents me from being able to keep up a perfect rotation or react with the right click at the right time for various things, so I will never qualify for our vet team. That means that as a physically disabled person, this particular housing furnishing is out of my reach due to my disability. Thanks, ZOS.

Housing is limited to 24 players while trials are limited to 12 players, so from the numbers point of view housing is more MMO than trials.

That's not true. There are always players on both servers.
And I am talking about ACHIEVEMENT (do I need even bigger letters?) BiS set reward as it should be.You seriously compare a house with 24 ppl to a 12 man vet trial? Lol. Makes no sense. That's an ACHIEVEMENT reward as it should be.
volkeswagon wrote: »Yeah that's unmatched. Furnishing freaks don't do vet and vet trial nerds don't do housing.
I personally think it's unfair to those of us who love housing but cant for reasons do vet trials. I can honestly say that after playing eso for many years ive yet to meet more than just a couple of endgamers that are into housing. They are rare.

Are you on PC NA? My guild may be able to help you.
