yup, gold for the bid I "won" is just gone even though some random guild was able to hire "my" trader for 10k
Same for all my friends who "won" a trader but didn't really get it, except for wayrest, for whatever reason wayrest worked fine

✭✭It's Sunday afternoon in the US. You can't expect them to monitor the servers where half* their players are on a Sunday!
They will fix it. I'm reasonably sure that the failed bids will be refunded at some point.
They will still screw over all the guilds that don't have a trader this week. And they will say "thank you for understanding", as if that was guaranteed. Or "we apologise", as if that magically made everything okay.

I am GM of Burnish & Gleam Trading.
We won at Mizul in Elden Root. Gold for the bid was taken from the guild bank account, and the remaining bids were refunded. I had the usual email to say that we had won. Feel free to PM me for me details.
The kiosk was not awarded and another guild has been able to take it as it showed as vacant.
PLEASE do not let this be like last time - please award the winning guilds their rightful kiosk during the maintenance window. Oh, and if you could have a word with someone about fixing this effing game, I guess about a million of us would really appreciate it!

It's beyond disrespectful to ignore this very distressing issue for guild masters and stay silent as if it's nothing. Just so you know Zos, my guild is the main reason that I get attached to the game. The service they give to players and the connection they make with guildies is not something that your PR teams can achieve at any rate.
So please get your act together cause from what I've heard this has happened before.6 -

My guild "Valinor Traders" won Mauhoth in Vivec City, random guild there, gold for winning bid taken out of our guildbank though.
My other guild "Valinor Merchants" won Adiblargo in Rimmen, random guild there too, our bid gold gone too
Same for "Stendarr's Merchantry", who won Artura Pamarc in Rimmen
For some reason my guild "Valinor Overflow" won Ah-Zish in Wayrest, gold gone but we are shown on that trader at least.
Also offering more info if needed but please help us all @BansheeVT - GM of 'Valinor Traders'.

I wonder why they don't turn off picking up traders at all after bidding closes. Only those that no one bid on should still be up for grabs, but to keep it simple, just shut off all bidding after the bidding period. That way, if there is yet another failed trader bid, you don't have to kick anyone out of any stalls -- just calculate the winning bids and put guilds where they should be.

Because of the "fast hire" system we are supposed to have.
