I hate to be that guy, but I am very fine here. Running the game on ultra and from questing to dungeons everything is fine, I updgraded my PC relatively recently, so I haven't tried PvP. But before I couldn't tell what killed me, because of lag.
I think the problem lies in the hardware, since I am fine and others not (asuming our PC gear on the same level) I would asume that it is not optimized for some GPUs or CPUs. So in my humble opinion they just need a better optimization for under performing hardware, under performing because of their engine that is.
On a side note, they have the same issue in SWTOR, only it is worse, FPS drops are attrotious there, both in dungeons and PvP, even for my upgraded PC. All that while I see people in general chat saying they have 100 FPS in PvP, and I am sitting here with my 40 PvP FPS in wonder. And 40 FPS is considered good, since standard is 20-30 FPS....
The solution to this is fairly simple in my opinion, temporary solution. In system requirements add a note which hardware is supported the most, and they know which I think, since they tested it on something after all. Buuuuut, I doubt they will do it, since people with not supported hardware won't buy the game or sub, so it cuts their profits.
Once more, I personally have seen improvements from load times to fps increase. Only time I get bad issues is pvp but that goes away when I lower my graphics from high to medium as my pc is not that great. From what I have gathered, ppl with mid range pcs seem to be seeing overall improvement where high end sees a decrease. I wonder if it's a comparability issue between the game and hardware.

Stuff works before the patch
stuff's broke after patch that is not fps or ping, we're talking about skills not working and an input delay with desync issues. Has nothing to do with a person's hardware.

Precisely. I have great framerates. That isnt the issue. Ability lag, break free not responding, abilities ghost firing, etc. Those are the real issues

A small update: Noticed a pretty severe memory leak while in cyrodil last night with my guild. The first hour framerates and lag were good, it then deteriorated to a slideshow with severe lag. Restarting client fixed it

I wonder how long people who are going "give them time it's only been x amount of time" will keep saying this. Months from now if things are still as busted or worse than they are now, will they still claim that we should just keep waiting? The game has been live for nearly 6 years now, how long should we have to keep waiting for a game that works?
And I'm sorry, but saying "oh but this was a patch that reworked all the code" and such isn't an excuse. An overhaul of this magnitude should have been in the PTS for much longer than a standard DLC update, and ZOS should have spent longer testing it, simply because of the nature of this update.
Granted a longer PTS cycle might not have done much good, seeing as most people no longer really bother with it thanks to ZOS rarely acknowledging issues that are raised during said testing. Most people don't like feeling as though their time is being wasted and the feedback they're providing is falling on deaf ears.

I wonder if pulling the plug on Cyrodiil is a viable option, at least until ZoS and others can figure out what needs to be done.
What a great idea! Im sure that will fix the massive ability delay, unresponsive break free, horrible targeting issues, ghost casts found in... Bgs, duels, even pve.
This isnt a cyrodil complaint.
Many would sue the company for false advertisement. However, ZOS can intentionally mess the PvP up, hypothetically speaking ofcourse.

LOL you're joking right? Good luck trying to sue a company on performance issues when your connecting to a server over the internet that could have 1 of a billion issues going on at any given time. Plus, trust me on this, their contracts you agree to every time you sign in are combed through by an army of lawyers and are air tight.

Yup. I spend a majority of my time RPing or doing crafting stuff, and yet I get hit with ridiculous ping and lag. Loading times haven't been fixed on my end at all, if anything they've gotten worse, and if you're porting to and from a house to make furnishings or traveling around during RP or something, those loading screens can add up too.bellatrixed wrote: »What I don’t get is, I’m one of those people that mostly just decorates and does writs and even I have noticed more lag than ever before.
Even doing my writs now, there’s a huge delay when picking up each quest, in between crafting each item, and turning them in. There’s delays accepting attachments from mails and depositing in banks. And there’s delays placing furnishings in housing.
Been playing for four years and have NEVER had basic functions like picking up a quest, depositing an item, or dropping a candle in a house require a few seconds of lag which really adds up when you’re doing a lot. Wtf is going on?
