I am super disappointed that there seems to be no fix for the weekend, yet somewhat pleasantly surprised that they tested and decided not to make things worse by pushing out Mondays patch and introducing new bugs. Like thanks for not screwing things up more I guess? I suppose no work is being done over the weekend then either to try to fix it.

The lack of sense of urgency is astonishing. Any other game would have shut the servers down the same day and rolled back until a working patch could be implemented.

We are used to it here unfortunately, but this doesn't happen in other games. Ever. Period.

It's not the topic of the OP exactly, but I'm getting very frequent health bar desync's, with oils especially. It's more common than not when taking a keep when I die instantly, I check my recap, and it's all oil damage that didn't show on my health bar til I was dead.

Well it may be related. Were you actually standing in the oil? I know the delays of damage and health bar dysyncs are bad right now as well, but I've been being hit by oil that I most certainly was standing outside of, along with fire balistas etc. Pretty much anything that depends upon player position to be accurate, which it is wildly NOT right now.

There is no action being taken. They know the problems, have no idea what the causes are, and no idea how to fix them. No action, no communication, nothing.

I'd love nothing more than to be proven wrong.

I, too, would love to be wrong about the inability to properly care for issues. But it's only ever been proven otherwise.

well, most of the time I am standing in the oil, but I think I'm being healed through it....then I'm just dead. When I check death recap, it's all oils, and my health bar never registered the damage. ....but I am taking damage when outside the siege AOE on a regular basis as well.....in addition to roll backs, rubberbanding, and hard crashes that require a system reboot.

Even worse you have ball groups abusing the situation causing even more issues. I'm a dull 20 meters away and just die on the spot. 😒

Don't worry, ballgroups aren't in a better shape with the bugs. Maybe sometimes they kill people 'cause of on the bugs but not intentionally and during an astral alignment.
Playing in cyro actually in a ballgroup or not is just 90% crash and desync for 10% fun.

Cavedog -can confirm you were not with your group yesterday almost every time. Went from major bomb threat to someone we could randomly bash. They would be upstairs -you would be on lower keep flag. Sorry mate!

Got on my bomber yesterday and twice my ultimate did no damage. Other skills like the proxy following it were recognized but not the ulti which i found odd. The server just seems to be randomly ignoring skills going off.

This is definitely the WORST PERFORMANCE UPDATE since 1.2 patch.

I guess I have to be careful how I word my criticism of zos. Three times my posts have been removed from this thread. No warning, no notification that I had broken some rule.. Just review this thread to find my posts missing.

You can't bury these problems, we need to talk about them. Instead of stealth deleting posts, make a formal announcement acknowledging each individual issue, in detail, and the plan to rectify the situation.

This is not how you treat loyal customers who have been with you since beta. This is how you kill a game.

I want nothing to do with a game/company that is more worried about saving face than actually fixing problems...its a shame because ESO holds a special place in my heart...

Still no indication that ZOS can or will fix the problems, or even that they're working on it. Last we heard from them was it's being "investigated" and is a "priority".

We know, however, that ZOS has a history of dishonesty. I expect what we're seeing is the new normal. Performance as it is today is the best it's ever going to be going forward.

The large quantity of people asking for and receiving refunds is not a good sign.

Again, feel free to prove me wrong.

For being half way through the improvements patches for the game, this is currently the worst the game has ever felt to me in every aspect of the game.

Cryodiil went from bad to unplayable. There has always been problems with cast time and channels not working well during laggy periods, but now happening even when pops aren't locked. And reg skills aren't working right either, most of the time do not even fire off after casting. The degree that this game turns into just get a bigger zerg and stand on the flags doing nothing to win grows every patch.

Regular rotations not being able to be completed smoothly b/c of skill lags.

Desync's in trials where our entire team dies on final vSS boss b/c statue doesn't protect us from wipe.

You would think that if they had a fix in the works they would say so to put out the fires. The silence says it all. And ill bet there's not even a scramble at the office. I'll bet most of the team doesn't know there is a problem.

You know, if I had skin in this particular game, I would be pretty displeased if my investment was bursting into flames due to gross mismanagement.

Maybe it's time to start contacting some of those people...

I guess this is all to be expected to a certain degree. Major performance updates can't really be accurately assessed in the isolation of PTS. When the servers start getting hit with high load demand you can expect these sync issues to rear their ugly head. I'm trying to see this (and I hope ZOS does) as an evolutionary process they'll address and fix. But they have their work cut out for them because right now, no matter where your at in the game, combat is just imprecise and messy.

Except when performance was alot better before scalebreaker right? The only performance enhancements we have had have been for console. Why?

Because they are only focused on pleasing the biggest player base, casual flower pickers. One would think that the fact that positional dysyncs make questing and gathering a lot more difficult would mean they would address the issues and put out a statement depecting their course of action with an eta for a fix.

Silence is deafening. They don't have a plan. Clearly. Prove me wrong.

Finally people are getting it. Thats their player base. Thats why I left the game. Qnd I would understand their choice, even though its a really bad One IMO... But breaking the game like that... patch is going for its third week on live and no Fix planned... Performance patch my ass lol

I have since seen the announcement that they still don't have a fix and are going to wait another week to attempt a fix release. It doesn't change the fact that taking a month to rectify a situation that should NEVER have happened in the first place is completely unacceptable.

This. Doesn't. Happen. In. Any. Game. But. This. One.

Things like dying outside of aoe's is the most blatant example of how bad this is getting. When my screen shows my dead body 2-3m outside the aoe that supposedly killed me, you know there's a serious problem. I need to start taking screenshots every time this happens.

Yeah. Thought maybe I was mistaken and maybe much like other salary employees every where I have ever worked; people work nights and weekends when the *** hits the fan. I guess not ZOS.

I'm sure they enjoyed their weekend as they clearly must not play the game for their personal entertainment

I no longer can rationalize supporting this game anymore with the way things are going. If there isn't something done about the abysmal performance soon i will be letting my sub lapse, and will be uninstalling as soon as new world is out. It hurts my heart too, as I still remember the day I got super excited to be able to play tes with my friends. I have loved tes games since oblivion, but this mismanagement is putting a soul taste in my mouth.

I'm not sure how they save face other than actually fixing the problem. And, like you, everywhere I've worked, employees on salary get to work extra hours when there's a big problem.

Unless, of course, this isn't a big problem...

That's why I think it's time to start asking the Board of Directors for some attention. They're financially invested. Getting their attention means some phone calls get made and people have to start answering questions. It's their (the investors') money that ZOS really cares about, and the investors are really the only people that can hold them accountable.

The desyncs happen often, especially if you do bgs. They seem to be mostly triggered by nightblades and magsorcs.
