Yeah. Thought maybe I was mistaken and maybe much like other salary employees every where I have ever worked; people work nights and weekends when the *** hits the fan. I guess not ZOS.
I'm sure they enjoyed their weekend as they clearly must not play the game for their personal entertainment

They don’t consider this to be **** hitting the fan though. The servers are up and only ~50% of their player base is angry.
And back in the Zeni offices today I will bet good money that there are more meetings and conversations about Greymoor marketing and launch than about performance issues.
Hell, I bet they will have more conversations about Coronavirus at work today than they will have about game performance.

I dont doubt they think the *** hasn't hit the fan. That's the problem and why a lot of us are angry.
And in customer base satisfaction; the words only and ~50% would never be used together. If you see a restaurant where anywhere near 50% of its customers are angry, that place is gone. Us gamers are a certain kind of special though. We'll keep complaining and saying "or else" but keep playing. I dont think that will be the case with this issue though.

When it comes to answering the question of why the game failed, those responsible will have no problem shifting the blame elsewhere. It's not their fault, you see, they we just doing the best they could with that they had to work with. It's someone else's fault. Those guys that quit or were fired or whatever.
If that smells like BS, it's because it is, but that's what will happen.
Meanwhile, Rome is still burning...

Them saying there's no maintenance this week because they want to make sure their fixes are stable seems to me like buying another week because they still have no idea how to fix what they broke. I'll be suprised if anything gets addressed by the chapter release. They MUST make that deadline, so performance will be an afterthought, as per usual.
We will see. Maybe next Monday a release will fix all the problems. Seems plausible with their track record of fixing things......

Isn't there a.possibilty they could patch it this week? Obviously not today, but later in the week?

I think they are busy pushing this steamer to console this week
Yes, I have noticed ranged skills not firing, especially force pulse. Been working on MagDk asylum staff build, with new character, doing 4-man dungeons for skill points, etc., and at least a couple of times during each run I’m trying to light attack weave force pulse and end up spamming light attack 3 or 4 times before trying another skill. Oh, and I’m basically in melee range. Also, I’m on xbox and have not yet had the update (tomorrow). I have been parsing like a fiend, as well, and surprisingly have had no issues. It’s mostly in group content.

They won't make a patch in the middle of the week even if a working fix is ready. It will be monday at the earliest I'd bet.
I would love to be suprised.

and then when they are all out of a job because the game failed they will be sitting there confused on what happened.

@ZOS_GinaBruno: is ZOS aware of this?
Yes, posted in a different thread the other day, but we are aware and have been investigating the root cause. No fix at this time, but it's a priority to fix as quickly as we can.

If this isn't fixed game is completely finished, and I've stayed through the worst of them.
Played and subbed on and off since day one.
Me and my whole guild are unsubbing, this patch has been the nail in the coffin.
I've spent over US$200 since update 25 was released on other games, because this patch is just so bad.
As have many of my other guildies, and lots more players in general, plus your losing subs like nothing before.
All of which could or would have been spent on crowns.
Unless this is fixed, say goodbye to millions of dollars.

If the game fails to the point of shut down I imagine a lot of the Dev and Support staff will be relieved to not have to deal with this crap anymore. They’ll be glad to move on to the next thing, and there’s always a “next thing” in the relatively small world of game studio professionals.
But that’s a long long way off, based on ESO profitability. Despite the crappy game stability, performance, and support.
