Yes, i`ve loved everyday of this PVP event! There has been action 24/7 on any choice of a game mode. Been just able to wake up and do some battlegrounds, then go do some Cyrodiil with a friend, then hop into IC and find skirmishes and Tel Var wars everywhere, pirate flags raised - all your Tel Var are belong to me(tm).

+ Imperial City has been packed up with people, good and fun action everywhere.
+ New Cyrodiil campaigns been fun addition and seen lots of clearly new to pvp -people trying it out and many seems to have fun.
+ While the event Boxes not have actually epic tier rewards in them, they do have things like Hakeijos sort of often, atleast for me, that always got use for.
+ Been able to do Battlegrounds also pretty much 24/7 and good fights there, with people who actually say "hi" at the start. Feelsgoodman.jpg

Whole pvp scene has been revitalized and i wish it was always like this. Many new friends found and so much fun to be had. Some of my old friends came back actively playing just for during this event. Even performance for me (PC EU) been decent, other than few hiccups at the "biggest CP campaign" during primetime when guilds run their gymnastics groups.

10/10 event, i`m loving it. <3 I hope everyone has an awesome & fun weekend doing Mayhem event or other things!

So a big THANK YOU to ZOS! :)

@ZOS_BrianWheeler It was a smart move to put the Legion motifs on IC, it revitalized the whole area - please do more things like this in future too, thanks! :)

    What role do you play?

I'm a pure healer and this event has been pure hell.

    Pre-mades, ganking, unbalanced battlegrounds.

Oh yeah, it's been a real hoot!

If it wasn't for the tickets, I wouldn't touch this event with a 10 foot barge pole.

Forgot the random obligatory pvp meme from the original post, so will include it here now:

For me, so far, the event has been just as boring as without double ap. The faction stacking is at a new high. One can be happy if there isn't just 2 spots on the whole map with fights, cause thats basically it. Usually one big fight at brk and another one at Ash, rest of the map: dead. Taking a resource as duo or smallscale will result in the usual abstinence of enemies UNTIL the enemy faction wins or loses at one of the 2 big spots and suddenly decides to take back said resource with 50+.
Imperial city is the same. 2 or 3 different faction zergs who don't even fight each other, just flip districts.

I don't care much about the double AP and I used to love PvP but it gets less and less entertaining, if you don't like to zerg or faction stack with the rest of your alliance.

Agreed. I'm not that good at PvP, but this event has been as good or better than the last several ESO events. I've been getting event tickets and event boxes every day. Leveled several new stamina characters from Assault level 3 to 6 in the under level 50 battlegrounds. Being doing either scouting or town quests across all the unlocked campaigns, with either CP or under level 50 characters, with no issues. For someone who is mostly into PvE, this event has been good.

I play all sorts of setup and yes as a "pure healer/support" too, but that is best done at Cyrodiil, in a group that values you and stay tight. Zerg surfing has its benefits, but also a lot of what a true healer can give goes to waste. For true healers who like to play like that i always suggest joining a pvp guild, they will value you there and you enjoy playing a LOT more.

Yeah, there been some 4-3-2 type of bgs, not all the time but yeah.. i know. Still, for me majority been good and balanced, often our memory just picks the few bad experiences over the many good ones. I hope you get better luck with the rest of the event. And do group up as a healer, make a premade of your own if encounter many of them.

Thats how i deal with them atleast. I solo most times, but.. if there are mainly hc premades - i rally up my own and go to war. ;)

I know what you talk about, the faction stacks are sad.. but, i keep switching campaigns if something goes to the situation you describe, at the extra campaigns i have then always found small scale action (and good one at that to my surprise), some new friends, and action at several places, maybe because i made some of it myself too by going at places and taking them outside emp ring. Laatvulon campaign had some great pvp yesterday several hours.

And yeah, some IC zergs.. but they are scared, i could hunt them down one by one on my magblade, and the bombings obviously. Teamed up with a friend and had a blast.

Feels good that there IS people, even if they are zerglings.. hunting season is on. :p I understand what you mean though, solo & small team play is a bit forgotten thing.. people seek safety in numbers. It is what it is.

Still weirdly i have honestly been having more fun than in months. Just feels like can do pvp anytime a day and always get action. :)

I played exclusively solo and there were a lot of action everywhere. Basically there is farmer on each gate and crossroad and you can always fight with him if you want interesting 1v1, because farmers are usually quite skilled. XvX is fine too, burning tents and ganking siege users looks like fun if you are on defense and on offense sometimes it felt like real slaughter if there were a lot of defenders :D only problem was regular kicks to login screen. Overall Cyrodiil felt more healthy then usual. Usual Cyro is zergs with cap rotation schedule, salty smallscales sitting in towers and solo players skulking around all that. I think if ESO had better performance and more PVP events and rewards + some MMR, it might become decent PVP game.

    This.

I always find action, since i keep moving to places where i know some farmers try to farm newbies, also even at the hot spots it is nice to pull small groups of enemies to follow me away from their zerg and then battle it out at some LoS spot where the entire horde does not come after me.

Routes between keeps that are UA are nice places to get action constantly, without the possible lag on some emp ring keep where there are all 3 alliances stacked. Mile gates have gankers to hunt. IC has farmers to hunt near base entrances. At Districts got action all the time, just gotta have an escape route planned if see too big and angry zerg coming my way.

Never had a boring moment. I swap campaigns a lot, go IC for couple of hours, then bgs, all the time good action. Works for me. :)

Unlike in pve - at least solo- you have to build for damage, heals and tankiness all in one to be able to enjoy pvp

Yep, I made somewhere between 800k to 900k from this event, even managed to make enough to buy the Clockwork City DLC and a new hairsstyle (Cause quite frankly all character creation hairs are crap) and hope to make a few hundred thousand more before it ends, those legion zero pages are quite valuable and I found heaps of them, still need a girdle though.

Although I would be lying if I said it did not make me bored and feeling the need to rush through it.

Had a great time as well. Especially in Imperial City which I personally think is the best PvP in this game when it's populated.

The only downside, and that's not really related to the event, is the premade groups in battlegrounds with their healbots, but that will be taken care of next patch :)

I hear this a lot. So then this event works as intended - to get fresh people to the pvp action, and also get some oldies back too when there is some new people to fight with and more action at all pvp modes.

I welcome all new to pvp to try and have a good time, dying is just a fast way to spawn to next action hot spot so do not be sad for dying a lot while still learning. :)

Events like this are very healthy for the game. And hopefully when the performance improvements kick in, we can have fun in a more stable pvp environment. 2020 hopefully is the year that pvp starts to revitalize. I for sure hope it since this game has one of the best pvp combat (when it works technically) in all of mmo`s.

It's fun at certain hours -> If you have no job -> From 9 am until about 14:30 pm...then it just becomes frustrating or unplayable, so you log off and come back around 23pm or go to Standard Campaign where not much happens.

For the majority of players (on 30 day cp lock camapign) I can't imagine it's much fun unless they just crunch one HOT or AOE skill over and over and don't mind being sent to the login section every 30 minutes or so.

    Mixed feelings.

Weirdly enough, i have not been crashing or kicked to login at all even at primetime. PC EU. Not trying to "whiteknight" since i am also known to say some sharp tongued feedback when it is deserved.. maybe just been lucky but only problems been couple times some "normal" (normal to ESO) lag during primetime 3 alliances stacked to 1 keep situations, even then not got disconnected, like what happened a lot to me last summer.

In any case, nice to hear people`s experiences - sad that there has been troubles especially at the most busy hours. Hope that situation improves soon(tm). :)

I've been pleasantly surprised when I've gone into Cyro... the town ganking seems to be less of an issue than it has been in the past, and the PvPers in zone chat have been happy to go after any gankers that the PvEers are having a hard time with. It feels... friendlier.

I haven't yet ventured to IC. It's one of my favorite places in the whole game but I'd been hesitant to because of the issues with griefing in the past. Sounds like it's worth a whirl, though.

The best part, though, has been playing on my magden and actually feeling competent. One of my guilds had a dueling contest for fun a few weeks back and I was able to spend some time honing my build and skills and I've actually got something put together that's effective. I've killed, like, TEN people and haven't died, which for me is pretty huge, lol.

    Totally agree with OP!

This has been the most fun event on the calendar so far! Campaigns are stocked around the clock and the rewards are balanced in such a way that promotes all of the PvP content.

Definitely would like to see a PvP event maybe once per quarter or something!

Nice to hear that. And yes, i`ve also noticed less gankers at the quest towns (like Cheydinhal), and people been asking for help and me as many others been always helping to take out the trash (clear towns). People been really polite and got some heart warming messages as thank you. Ended up giving pvp tips to some when they asked how to deal with the gankers without having to "bother others". Loving the interaction with new to pvp people. :)

Have fun at IC, if you go solo then only place to possibly avoid might be the Molag Bal centrum at sewers, since the big zergs farm there.. so it is a bad place to be, unless your alliance owns it currently. Magden is nice for IC imo, you can move fast and Shimmering shield gives protection from projectile spammers while you tactically retreat to another location if see hordes of enemies.

Have fun and let us know how your IC adventures end up going? :p

My previous IC visit ended with a 66k Tel Var in one big BOOM! Pro tip: When a big groups kills Molag Bal simulacrum - do not all go loot the corpse same time in a big blob.. (loot after everyone moved away from it, or died to a bomb, then it is safe to go loot it yourself) o:)

This year's event was very boring for me :/ Just a few fun things happened.

During first day, I tried to adventure in IC as I normally do. Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy both enemy and ally zergs. The less people are in IC, the better it is :D And after I didn't get any outfit pages from 5 bosses, I stopped visiting IC during this event. Only one fun thing happened there during that day :)

I was at our base (yellow), when I see message in zone chat: "and of course, blue *bad word implying multiple enemies* in our sewers".
I am interested to see what's going on and how can I help. So I go into sewers... to find just 1 blue magsorc near Hzu boss :D He is being outnumbered by clueless yellows. They can't kill him, but he can kill them.
I met that magsorc during IC event in September, and after stalemate duel we no longer attack each other. Few times since then he proved to be honorable enemy (didn't outnumber me when other blues attacked me, didn't backstab when I was soloing district boss). So of course I didn't attack him. After he killed all other yellows, he was running around the room - and just for a moment, he was standing in the spawn place of dead Hzu. It looked as if he was the boss himself

I did many battlegrounds after that, but I dislike no-CP content. So I decided to go to Cyrodiil and PvP there for the first time since Murkmire patch.
...I forgot how bad the lag can be :| I forgot the zergs, and small scale enemies without honor. I was spoiled by duels and some funny meetings in IC. So in Cyrodiil, only few fun things happened during this event.

I met the very first honorable small scale group in Cyrodiil ever :o
3 blue players captured Ash lumber. I arrived there, and one of them started attacking me. Other two were only watching. After I died, I returned there, and other blue started a fight. The blue who attacked me first, tried to join the fight as well, but stopped rather fast. While we were dueling on the first floor of the tower, some other yellows were arriving on flag, but they couldn't win even though they outnumbered those blues. Then our duel continued, and after some time I died. Honorable fight :)

Brindle was yellow. Carmala outpost was blue. So I arrived there, without any plan. Nothing going on there, but far away on the hill I spot some player movements. I ride closer and what I see? Two high rank blues chasing and sniping at one yellow. They had no problem outnumbering, but couldn't take fair 2 vs 2 :D It was very satisfying, random help to random ally.

And some fun random meeting late at night <3 Red magblade successfully avoided zerg during the Alessia capture. He bravely walked around, didn't attack, and we could roleplay a bit:

    7XtGIAo.jpg

He had that "guar" mount - argonian characters make very cute noises when riding it :D

Don't tell anyone... but i had fun

Went to do town quests in AD. one town was ours, one was under attack - despite AD holding all the territory around it at the time. So... did the quests I could and was gonna leave... but then I said, lets check out this town under attack.

Got there, reached the closest resource, which had daggerfall banner. Stood in front of it. Had no idea what to do. Hit a bunch of buttons and mouse clicks... voila ... started changing it to AD.... which seems to take forever.... figured I'd get ganked, but I got the job done. No idea if you 'receive' anything for that.

Went to another resource, helped a couple other ADs beat the npcs, I worked on the banner while they left. Got that back to AD and headed out to find the other ADs

Found the two Daggerfall attackers and got wiped in 0.0003 seconds

    That was fun

    :)

    Hey, PC EU here.
It seems a bit better ping wise since their patches during the event. The beginning was quite laggy. I was also wondering if they had lowered the population cap on the 'standard campaign' as it was quite hard to find groups of enemies even on a pop locked campaign.

My usual route was early afternoon on 30 day CP locked -> Then moving to standard for prime time to avoid lag as our group tactics don't work as well (fixes or not lag would still be apparent from 6:30pm until around 11pm/12pm)

10th day has now dropped for me meaning I received my last 'midyear mayhem recognition' for the rune box. I am bit disappointed I must say, in the sense that for over ten days we collected these to only have the same prize available from the event merchant...I used my 10 recognitions to get an unusable rune box as I already bought it like a pleb not really knowing.

Don't get me wrong the AP bonus is what we are all really here for, but the lack of diversity for prizes seems a little lazy.
