    Errr... what patience?

    Maybe it's time for some honest and detailed communication without stalling or PR nonsense. Instead, get into technical details what exactly is wrong with this effing game.

    In a way I'm kind of glad about this. I was going to buy enough crowns to get the Wraithhome but since I couldn't logon I had enough time to realize this was a rash decision. Close one!

    I pay good money to play this game, I can only play so many hours a day as I'm in rehab so I have quite an extensive schedule while I'm in here, playing this for a couple of hours in the evening is a relief to the stress, this *** isn't f*cking helping, at least compensate, with something..

    I totally understand the frustration from a users view point, especially during a limited time event that required copious amounts of farming to get everything completed (28x festival writs?? 3 new recipes?? New Motif sets + all of last years motifs, momentos, recipes, and furniture...... ALOT to farm, but that is for another ticket)

    At the same time, you have to look at it from the dev and ops point of view, and know they did not just make this issue for our inconvenience. Speaking from personal experience, when a large enterprise issue pops up its not always the easiest to fully diagnose and get down to the root cause. Even further, once you find said issue, the systems are so complex you cant just go throwing untested code fixes into production.

    A typical SDLC will involve replication of the issue in dev/sandbox environment, packing up a deployment script that will contain the proposed fix AFTER creating the necessary backup files in case of a rollback, then testing that fix in the dev/sandbox instance. Once thats proven to be a fix, you need to test the roll back feature in case it wont preform the same in production, and then finally get all the approvals, checkoffs, user verification testing, etc before conducting a production rollout.

    I know we all wish it was as simple as "Unplug the console, wait 30 seconds and plug it back in" but more often then not its never as simple as that. Rest assured, the support teams last goal is to *** off us end-users, and they are more then likly working on this issue with all hands on deck.

    Ill sit back patiently, watch some videos on Tic-Toc-Tormentor achievement plans and vCR+3 world speed runs and brush up on some of the patch notes from last week i have not finished. Eventually, once the issue is truly resovled and working, im sure we can all log in and enjoy the reminder of the event. In the SUPER rare chance this is going to be a huge impact on the event, keep in mind they are not opposed to extending events due to long-lasting and extended service interuptions like they did for the annversery event system issues we saw for the 2019 even that was extended TWO FULL WEEKS on both NA and EU servers for issues that only effected the EU server.

    TL/DR - Take a breath and be patient, rest assured they are working on it and will get it up and running ASAP as they have no other incentive for not doing so.

    Good luck ZOS support, hope you get it nailed down soon and get us all back to plunder skull grinding :)

    It's called a DR (disaster recovery) plan. Most professional companies have a replication they cut-over to. I'm going to be fair on ZoS and say they have the something along those lines, but if the data center is down and both architectures are in the same one... well -- that's just bad planning.


    Not to be pedantic......ok to be pedantic...... it's a BCP - Business Continuity Plan, and usual a DR plan forms a part of that. I post this not for you my friend, but so that some bright spark at ZenniHQ can look these terms up on the interweb and maybe - maybe - get one started.

    BCP prescribes mode of operation for plausible, but otherwise random events. What they need is proper software configuration management so they can identify the buggy software component easily and roll back to the right build...

    Unbelievable and unacceptable! Server issues are always possible but not 6 or more times in a few days.
    Most people pay pay for it, are subscribed ... and all we we get are "we are investigating, thx for your patience".
    Never heard of a compensation for paying members?!

    I tried to login to the game about 5mins ago, and I'm unable to login into the game,

    the pop-up suggested that either my name or password is incorrect.

    which is incorrect because, for reference I always write down my user name, and password in a book,

    I thought that the capacity issue had been sorted????

    Which ever company you are using to manage the PC EU server, you need to really think about changing them.

    One more here. Thought I was losing my mind, tried a password reset and still couldn't get in. Hope they get this fixed soon. Worked extra hard all day so I could finish as early as possible and get my ESO fix, then this.... ;(

    I actually thought someone may have hijacked my account and I went through the steps to reset my password. I'm still getting the error and now I see everyone else here is getting the same error I feel a bit better; not much but a bit. I'd rarther be able to play. Have they givben any info on whats may bew causing it or the timescales other than 'thanks for your patience'...

    Its strange that this has popped up when the have the witch event...

    Well I agree that it is very frustrating because of the on-going event, I understand and the anger brought by frustration ( guilty myself of having cancelled my subscription a few days ago - but who am I kidding? I love this game, so I went and put it back on :P). And overall I think zos will do us a nice turn once it's all done and solved to prolong the current event for a few days more. Allow us the time wasted with the technical issues. And definitely a big thank you for being so prompt in their attempts. Hoping this gets solved.
