It's weird but I have found since upping my base regen from 1200 to 1950 on my magplar I have won far more fights than previously, ppl are so tanky these days being able to endlessly sustain makes life alot easier. Currently now have 1950 + ele+ rune + pots . Now I can put alot more pressure on ppl without running dry and more often than not I can see when they have blown through there resources trying to defend th pressure

I agree with that.
What are stamplars using these days?
I feel fairly settled with my magplar but I’m very puzzled about his stamina brother.
With regards to the new meta I've resorted to stay offensive: it seems that even when I build defense I lose damage and what I gain is still not enough to keep me alive...a stall at best!
I've been a 'scoria man' for a while but I'm thinking about possibly switching set: any suggestions apart from BS?

Others might not agree but Lord Warden is a pretty good set especially if running in a smaller group and stacking towers/chokes.

I think it would only benefit if more than a couple ppl ran it and it stacked other wise 1 chudan 1 pirate is basicly the same thing but 100% uptime on the resists

LW is basically 100%, and it gives slightly more resists than two mix matched sets

The only thing bad about Lord Warden is that the effect is stationary, so if you're kiting or on the move, you'll lose the proc'ed bonus.

Tonight I tried heavy axiom+spinner+bloodspawn in no-cp, it was great. Good damage and survivability. But I think clever alchemist is better for cyrodiil than axiom.
Same issue with Bogdan too but it’s one of the go-to monster sets for healers in organized groups. That’s what I use in our 12 person guild groups, you get a couple healers running it and the fact it’s stationary isn’t as big of an issue. With regards to the new meta I've resorted to stay offensive: it seems that even when I build defense I lose damage and what I gain is still not enough to keep me alive...a stall at best!

On the matter of monster sets and defence..... BS has a 6% proc for 6 seconds.
What about combining 2 sets like Pirate head and LW shoulder: it would provide constant resistance instead of having to rely on a proc set.
Obviously I’d be missing the extra ultimate BS has to offer.
I’m sure some of you must have tried this approach before: any good?

I mean its good, but certainly not better than blood spawn. 129 stam regen and ultimate gain is more than you're going it credit for. It's also more resistance than stacking 2 mismatched resistance sets.
Inb4 "100% maintenance free resistance"

Bloodspawn feels like crescent sweep on cooldown

Well; I was playing around with swapping Fortified brass with shacklebreaker just straight up and I gain some slight recovery and weapon damage. The skill calculator shows a 1500+ boost in effective spell power. But I try it out, and that amounts to 300 more damage per jab and 500 more heal on HTD. Im not sure its worth it.

@technohic Don't you mainly play Stamplar? I don't play Stamplar a whole lot but it's still my preferred Stam class. The number gain is not that overwhelming but one question what do you lose out on in replacing Shackle? My first thought is recovery - but you stated you had a gain in recovery. So it must be the mag/stam. I am still a bit stat/number challenged in terms of the overall gain in focusing on more mag/stam vs spell/weapon damage. Thanks!

Using it on mag? Was loving it in stam but I dont think jabs benefits now from it? Thought it was no longer direct damage

burning light would count and as does blazing shield

Was just looking at it. Even without that, gaining extra resists and it shows as about 40% more than crescents tooltip, but crescent gets 60% bonus on those in your path, but then you realize that it ignores armor. People are mitigating more than 20% on even the squishiest builds.
