The heal is another reason i use it. I run primarily aoe (barrage, cresent, sweeps, sometimes blazing) so in an x setting i can get great all around effectiveness from purifying light. 7k total healing per target on me while it helps with the burst (typically around 3k only but that's for each target it's on) of cresent and my aoe. I love the skill and hate that it's getting nerfed in healing while we literally buffed healing to ridiculous levels. It's dumb.

I actually like your setup here except I still think I would go spinners over Axiom, but preference I suppose.
EDIT: Derp. NM. Thought it was two destros for a second. Good morning everyone.
I did axiom over spinners because:
- ill be at under 30% crit. That's TOO low, even for heavy.
- axiom buffs heals, spinners doesn't. So while ill gain enough pen to offset the missing pen from light armor, my bol/ritual heal will be lesser as a result. and that means less synergy with heavy's most dominating aspect; 8% extra healing.
- 400 SD is more or less 30% buffed by my SD buffs. Basically becomes 520 bonus. And running the penetration formula, SD increase is generally better (unless your target's 33k resistance lol).
And to answer the other people about solar barrage/resto abilities:
- next patch degeneration will be stronger so I can replace solar barrage with that and run healing ward for extra salt. But right now, most of the resto abilities are garbage.
- next patch cost reduction is nerfed across the board the more you stack, which means an imperial templar in heavy has a 253 cost reduction on pts only has compared to live (based on paper math need to test on pts if true). But all cost reduction is now multiplicative so if I had 3% from imperial against a 4050 base cost of eclipse, my 5% from templar passives is reducing from 3928 and not all additive against the base (current would be 5+3+2 from 1pc light = 10%). Slight nerf but a buff for heavy. But even with this, 4k cost htd, 4k purge; there isnt much room for another 4k cost healing spell from resto staff and mutagen you might not get if an ally is around.

I got rid of it because it wasn't helping me pressure 2-3 targets while getting dog-piled. With dots buffed, wont need purfying light any longer for single target pressure and more efficient in casting since its going on the major sorcery buff we already use.
Wait @Minno is banned? Wtf..

You're right about next patch for sure. Hardly any skills are going to be any where close to the buffed ones. It's dumb, too. Can i ask what skill you're using when getting dog piled that helps u pressure in its place?

Hmm, I just went for a tankier version I am going to try pretty much (Maybe the same?) skills as you are using. What do you think of this? Anything you would do differently?

I love it, I might steal it lol Keep in mind even though lighting buffs initial hit of reflective light, the dot is still boosted by fire staff(according to the editor). And I hate rat on backbar; im always bar swapping to cast it for offensive purposes instead of defense.

Yeah, I was debating Lightning or fire. Im about 50 50 on DOTs on target, and ones coming from me in AOE. Debated swapping degen with RAT for bar spot

id drop solar barrage before dropping rat. Unless you play mostly rangeplar and can reposition early with decent defenses.
Youll have 3 AOE abilities anyway (RL, Jabs, cresent) and can afford to give up SB. At least for next patch when degeneration is buffed for single target use.

I heard he became an actual templar and radiantly oppressed some evil changes. Making too much sense, he was hit with an unbreakable cc for 5 days. But he came back harder, stronger, faster, templarrier? And piously went after weak points of the opponents only to be chain pulled from a guard at an opposing alliance home base bc of a meek tattler. However, instead of causing instant death, it raised minno to levels of the enlightenment only fabled in the most locked away, will kept scrolls of the monks. There he sits, eating pudding, awaiting a return through alternate skin.

sorry my bad! Yea I think you could swap D for RAT and not feel punished. penetration doesnt snapshot your dmg right?
Will u use solar barrage even with it's nerf next patch?
Was thinking in letting go puncturing sweep, for the first time ever, and use barrage (empower) + elemental weapon.
Anyone tested this?
So I tried my Magplar Build out last night for a little bit and i think it will work well as I get used to it but I can't help but feel its a bit..."busy." Lots of buffing up with channeled focus, ele drain, degeneration, and RAT, then adding DOTs in reflective light, and solar barrage. Just seems like a big setup with 6 things before getting to using a spammable, or blocking and healing. Makes me wonder if the added pressure is worth it for such a setup time. Think I need to simplify.
