Ok really sorry for offended solo players I found wrong words to express my opinion. What I was trying to say is: Play solo if you want just don't expect for your opinion to be prioritized in a discussion about multiplayer things
And everyone just got a little carried away. I wasn't talking about dungeon loot, I wasn't talking about DPS. "Inspect" Is to simply show Character window with an option to open achievements. It doesn't necessarily (hope spelled right) need to show stats.
People should play in groups and interact and stuff

It won’t, it only logs outgoing skills/buffs, location info, and incoming buffs/debuffs, along with the usual and additional damage details
Now, if their gear provides certain buffs, such as Alkosh, NMG, Sanctuary, Worm, any Trial set (Slayer), etc. that effects themselves or others, then the log will display it if/when it activates
@Jhalin You can definitely see all of their gear details and skill bars. Just click on a player when viewing a log.
there's no way to stop people from snooping what I'm wearing, even when I set myself as anon? is this opt in or out feature?
@ArcaneBlue It is default to anonymous, you have to enable it if you want your name to show up. Otherwise your build will be viewable to others that were in combat with you, but your name will show up as anonymous. Depending how many other people are around it may or may not be obvious who the anonymous players actually are.
A few other things to keep in mind:
- This can’t be viewed live, it must be uploaded and processed after combat is over
- It’s pretty inconvenient to use an external site for this, 99% of players won’t bother outside of organized groups
- Anything posted publicly cannot be linked back to anonymous players
Like really, does it matter that much if someone starts calling you names on the internet?
Lol, whis might seem rude, but why is everyone such a softie these days? "Oooh respect my privacy!" "Ooooh there will be discrimination about gear" etc etc. How does having gear and colors refer to privacy? Like really, does it matter that much if someone starts calling you names on the internet? If someone says "Wow, you're such a r****d, your gear isn't even orange!" Just block them lol. Elitists want attention and to be approved, because they wasted so much time grinding everything they have. There are, really, two ways dealing with them: 1. get them what they want, start asking questions, admiring them and they might stop being a D-bag and actually be polite. 2. As I said ignore and/or block them.
Edit: again, about privacy. I just don't understand howq is inspecting someone's character is creepy? I'm not watching you naked, I'm nor stealing your passport or credit card data. It's a fake character, there's nothing in the character that directly leads to you and may endanger your safety! (Well, if you didn't make his/her face exactly like yours)
Okay, I think I'm gonna stop this discussion. (at least from my side, which means I won't reply) Conclusion: Everyone is scared of the toxicity, which is in my opinion completely irrelevant 'cause it's not IRL toxicity. (It's funny because some guy here called me sensetive and not everyone else, but I'm sensetive to the sensetivity to the toxicity. Mindblowing, right?) Aside from that and nonexistant stalkers for me inspect feature is great.
(By the way it's ironic how this discussion became really toxic and everyone stopped being chill lol)
I didn't say anything about IRL toxicity. IRL toxicity is a problem that I don't deny and completely agree with, it's 100% unpleasant and horrible.
1. Internet conversations aren't the same as face-to-face. I'm not the one loosing touch with the reality here lol
2. Since it's not face-to-face there is a big chance you won't stumble upon this person again (+ on internet you can block people)
Seriously, why there is still no inspect feature in this game? This will be so good! Not only it will be cool to look at other player's achievements, but to look at equipment of an expirienced player would benefit a lot of inexpirienced people! Or if you see some cool-looking guy just look up his costume and dyes! I get really annoyed when I se someone and think "I wonder what gear he has" then press "F" and there's nothing there! Or am I, as always, being stupid and at least something from what I mentioned you can already do?
I also wish people didn't know what drops other get in a dungeon run and beg others to give them and curse when they don't get it.

Wont help. Will lead to "remove annonimous ,if you want to be invited to trial/vet dungeon"
We dont need such option.
Karius_Imalthar wrote: »I've played other games where inspecting was a thing. It was normally polite to ask before just checking them out, HOWEVER, MMOs have evolved quite a bit and are not nearly as innocent as they once were. In ESO, players have the ability to link their items and achievements and I think this is enough. A player can share what they want to share.
Another auto decline for you
Speaking of auto-declines, is there any way to see how many you have auto-declined?
I can only assume all those people who walk up to me, stare at me and then dance around like maniacs until I walk away are trying to kill me.
Nothing against people who dance like maniacs...

I'd like to answer that particular question, because it's an argument that is very commonly used, but is, imho, invalid.
Do you care if the person you talk to "on the internet" are real people with a human intelligence or a or robots with an artificial intelligence ? When you come home in the evening, does it sound the same to you if you're greeted by your wife, or by Alexa/Siri/Cortana ?
Someone calling me "names" in ESO isn't a machine or a couple of pixels, it's a real person communicating with me over the internet, which is exactly the same as face-to-face, or over the phone, or over the email, or over a letter, etc. So yes, being called "names" in ESO isn't pleasant, and definitely not what someone is looking for in a game. Just like it's not pleasant to be called "names" by anyone in the street, or at home, or in the office, or in the subway, stranger or not. And similarly, I don't want anyone in the street to have a look into my handbag, even if I only have a handkerchief and a lipstick in there. It is a true matter of privacy. I don't wnat anyone in the streets telling me to "improve my life" by wearing Dior clothes instead of my usual Walmart clothes, because it's my money and I choose if I spend it on clothes or on holidays or on a computer rig or whatever. Just like, in the game, I get to choose how I spend my time and it doesn't have to be all about improving combat and gear and stats.
If you truly consider people in ESO to be just "anonymous strangers pixels" and you don't care that they behave rudely, then I'd give you a piece of anonymous stranger pixel advice : take care of yourself, and maybe disconnect for a while, because you're loosing touch with reality, and this is affecting your most basic social skills.
Gonna completely break my rule and reply. This is my last, honestly.
Your answer is kinda invalid (at least for me) too. As I said since this toxicity is in-game it's irrelevant. I didn't say anything about IRL toxicity. IRL toxicity is a problem that I don't deny and completely agree with, it's 100% unpleasant and horrible. I don't know why have you brought it up if in my every statement I said and referred to internet toxicity and not IRL.
it would be really long to explain why I don't consider internet toxicity relevant but since I'm already breaking my rule I'll just say couple of things:
1. Internet conversations aren't the same as face-to-face. I'm not the one loosing touch with the reality here lol
2. Since it's not face-to-face there is a big chance you won't stumble upon this person again (+ on internet you can block people)
Thank you for your opinions everybody, I have my conclusion.

Ok, this sorted out now on your advices to ask. This was kinda shocking to me, lol, "why didn't I think about this myself?" - I was thinking about reading the first page of the discussion, because I have never< in any game asked someone about gear. Thank you.
Why are you so nosy? Why can't you just mind your own business?
Almost everyone who plays WoW (on the EU servers) says "loosing", rather then "losing" and "Rouges" instead of "Rogues".
Another auto decline for you
