So you suggest that EU players should acknowledge the bad performance of EU servers and accept it because bad performance is ok and since it is ok there is no problem at all? In other words, bad performance is a problem because people do not accept it?

You are aware that the so-called temporary login queue might be there for years, given the fact how fast they address other performance problems?

I wonder how fast they could work if they had to face legal consequences.

No, EU players should acknowledge and accept that ZOS has implemented a temp login queue while they work on fixing the EU megaserver performance issues, which overall is nothing but a benefit to EU players.

I like how you tried to spin my own words against me despite it so clearly not making any sense. I literally never said the bad performance wasn't a problem. What I am saying is that they are working on fixing it, and in order to do so they've implemented a login queue for the EU megaserver, which is a relatively small, temporary thing to deal with in order to have an overall better time playing the game.

Also, neither of us have any idea how long the process will actually take, but given that they've made a post and tweet about it and added a login queue in the first place, I imagine it's top priority at the moment.

We should be grateful that they decided to put a queue because they refuse to actually improve their servers? Are you serious dude? With all the money they make the servers should be perfect if close to that, instead the overall performance is garbage, and there is no denying it.

Just how much people are willing to do to get some brownie points, it's stupid.

This is not the same as wow, their server performance record was pretty much immaculate, but got much more people then they thought they would, for example during wod, this is not the same for eso, this is a recurrent problem, that we always see, so honestly, if you, or anyone else want to make the point that eso is not the only game that did this, context is important.

It's easier. They capped the EU Server because they don't know how to make it work or just not to pay so much for the server costs, and introduced a stupid queue. Don't think they have just had a super income of new players just in our server (with the problems it has) and not in NA Server. Never subscribed, won't do it in the future, and no more money to those guys.

WOW first time ever after years of playing I have ever had a log in queue.

Just thought I'd log in for an hour before my guilds raid in WoW and bang..... 18 mins log in queue ! 20 mins later still in queue so quit the game, no point wasting my time on this game when I can insta log in and play all the other MMO's I have accounts for.

This can't be good for the game, especially for ESO were random DC's are the norm, but it was not a huge issue before, it was something you could put up with, but now if you DC now while in a group or in the middle of doing something so you restart the game to log back in and get hit with a log in queue..................your screwed ! great way to kill the game ZoS

So it's 7pm precisely in the UK and I try to log in to the PC-EU server for the first time today:

"You Have Been Placed In A Queue: 10 mins etc."

I see the words "Leave Queue" and I think, yes, that is totally what I want to do as I have better things to do for ten minutes.

I press it and the pop up goes for a second then just pops-up again,

"You Have Been Placed In A Queue etc".

So I think, well this is a bit odd, so I click it again.

"You Have Been Placed In A Queue etc."

So I keep clicking "Leave Queue" and it keeps putting me back into the queue without letting me log out.

So i click it real fast and press Quit and the whole thing crashes to desktop.

    Well played, ZOS, well played...

Had 7 minute 23 seconds queue for 40 minutes, I cancelled and am now trying to log in again, server gives me a 13 minute queue. Is this a joke? I was 20 minutes early for my raid and now I'm 30 minutes late and still on queue.

I can't help but notice you play on NA. Please don't lecture me when it's not you who has to deal with EU's shotty performance, further maintenance times, and now login queues.
Trust me, temporary login queues aren't the only problems the EU server has suffered from, and if it was, I'd have nothing to complain about.

Me playing on NA makes no difference when they literally said it themselves that they put in a login queue while they work on fixing EU megaserver performance. And if it's all the same, I've seen and read quite a few threads on these very forums complaining about EU megaserver issues.

You, in your reply, confirmed that you have to deal with shoddy performance on EU, but are apparently unwilling to deal with a temporary login queue while they work on fixing that very problem.

If you were complaining that the login queue was annoying, but understood and accepted why it was happening, then there wouldn't be a problem. But what you are doing seems to just blatantly be complaining for the sake of complaining. There isn't any real reason to it besides perhaps wanting to gain attention, in which case, congrats, you got it.

I see no reason to complain about what is objectively a good thing overall. Quite frankly there are other games you can play and other things you can do while the login queue is active.

In every possible sense you have demonstrated in your rant that you do not know what you’re talking about. As an EU player, I can tell you that we have plenty to complain about. And for the record, they told us that they’d fix the performance issue in Cyrodiil about 2 years ago, so I’m not holding out much hope that they’ll fix this issue any time soon.

    [snip]

I could be wrong, but it's my understanding that Bethesda actually built the game engine and designed the base game, but handed it over to ZOS to maintain and run the game.

Lots of pissed off customers. Not good Zenimax. Its not just on the forums, guild mates on discord etc all cancelling subs.

This is definitely the worst way you've handled anything in the 5 years your game's been online. If it was my company I'd be on the first flight to wherever the servers are located to get this resolved ASAP.

Just goes to show EU is and always will be second class.

This is the most unprofessional way of handling a problem created by themselves being so ignorant and greedy.
    Unbelievable.
I cancelled my sub months ago when the EU server issues got way out of hand with continuous lag and 3+ times/week fruitless maintenance downtimes.
This is not a service guys, you can't just convert a simple login, the most basic part of the service to a musical chair game so one can only log in if someone else decides to leave.
ZOS had all the knowledge about the poor EU server capabilities, this very forum blew up countless times on the issue, still they didn't bother resolving it on a satisfactory level but still they are happy to take anyone's money for the whole airbending they call service. I'm pretty sure they have the necessary funds for the server capacity to improve but they decided not to. That tells everything about how they do business.
And still they launched the event with the expected maximum and players. Congrats, that's - again - grievously unprofessional and most disrespectful.
I'm now pretty sure I'll not bother with Elsweyr nor subbing in the foreseeable future. Curious if they'll ever earn my trust back.

Log-in cues aren't unheard of in MMOs, I've played games that have had them before. They, in and of themselves, aren't unusual.
Always the same [snip], I have played larger games than this and they have no log queues or problems.

I'm really struggle to understand why this problem has only now started. Are ZoS genuinely trying to imply there are more players now than before? They are certainly ensure that soon there will be a drop in player numbers at this rate, not to mention cancelled subscriptions.

In what world is '30 seconds' 15 minutes? I made a cup of tea, drank it, listened to 2 songs and was still waiting to log in to a game that I and many others, pay monthly for.

Are we going to get a discount or refund for this? Free crowns as an apology?

Why is the customer being made to pay for your mess up? This should have been prepared for, to prevent this type of action from being implemented, players have been saying for months that things need to change but they have been ignored.

So, that happens if you use Windows as Base for Game-Serves. Doesn't scale, MSSQL or whatever DB is behind that *** doesn't scale and is a beast to manage, and updates ... yeah ... we all know the downtimes.

Maybe someone should invest some of our money to migrate to another platform, instead of putting more afford in the crowns system and other garbage ... just a idea ...

@ZOS_GinaBruno its a bloody shame how you take care of the eu players.

    - During the day downtimes (NA server in the night)
    - Horrible performance
    - Long loading screens
    - Lots of bugs still excist after 4 years
    - Exploids never get fixed
    - And now a [snip] queue?????

And soon a new expansion and still all this will continue....FIX first!
