I love this. This is marketing at it's finest. Try to turn a negative into a positive. The servers suck. That's the negative. So let's spin this into 'the game is so extremely popular our server infrastructure cannot handle the load'. Who cares what the reason is. The infrastructure has been sub-par for months. I couldn't care less abut what excuse you come up with, I'm not getting the service I paid for.Recently, we’ve seen a massive influx of players to ESO especially on the PC-EU server. This influx of players has resulted in some server performance issues for our players on the PC-EU megaserver, especially during prime-time hours.
I'm actually looking at ways to challenge the subscription fee I paid for with Mastercard and I suggest everyone to do the same.

I have to say, ZOS cancelled and refunded my sub & Elswyr within 30 mins of me raising a ticket on this matter. I think they are very aware that they need to respond appropriately to this issue.
Good thing I have not yet bought Elswyr - was about to do so this day or tomorrow - but not now.

That discussion has been closed.
It should have been stickied, embarrassingly at the top of the screen.
@ZOS_GinaBruno
Not read the entire tread and I'm sure I'm not the first to say this but I just wonder how long the tech people have been trying to explain to the money people that this was a disaster waiting to happen. It's not like server performance hasn't been a recurring topics on these boards.
On the bright side: I haven't had the desire to log on for a couple of weeks now (still sore on the bosmer passive ***) so it's not really affecting me.
Out of curiosity; why did ZOS decide to show a timer rather than a position? When I get a queue in FFXIV it tells me my position which will go down and eventually I'll log into the game.
How can ZOS estimate the time, which I thought depends on other players on the server? Do they randomly kick players to try to meet their estimated wait time? What sourcery do they use?
the way ZOS is handling this is rather unsatisfying for us, the players and payers.
Now they don´t show you and me a timer or the place in queue, they just show you an infinte loading screen.
Without debate, there are more players on the server and the queue isn´t that long anymore, BUT to get that done they lowered the performance, low frame rates and the rest are the result, now I wait at any crafting station an eternity till you get an interaction.
My guess, there is no new hardware, just some twitching on the software and that was it.
