While I thought it would be the case from PTS , I'm still a bit irked that getting two tickets a day requires both a heist and a sacrament, as doing these properly can be time consuming. (I realize they can be done more quickly and sloppily for tickets if need be).

The annual Nightblade Celebration Event. (Or, this year's Bosmer Funeral Event)
join us, the people who have given up getting the mount variations so that we literally dont burn out on eso because of grinding these "events" to get this "fun reward".
Gee, who would've thought that having events all the time would make events feel less eventful? 🤔

Did they update the quest info for this or was that done earlier? Got small quest circles on the map showing me exactly where to go and it now clearly says that beating the timer only gives a better reward (and thus not needed to actually finish the quest).

Huh? Night Mother's Embrace, Night's Terror (Night's Silence if you are not a vamp), Rapids, invis pots if you are extra fancy. Don't even need to be a nightblade.

I would much rather do a Heist and a Sacrament every day than navigate my way around Vvardenfell, its extra annoying delves and damn Vivec City cantons.

edit: why did ZOS have to name two entirely different sets so similarly?! Embrace, not Gaze.

OP, I've had it take longer to change zones than complete these dailies. Takes all of 5-10 minutes, if you're going for perfect and familiar with the maps.

      @Everstorm , it's always been that way.

You'll still get completion credit, you'll just get a lower tier reward and slightly less loot.

You still have to find everything and finish the quest/turn in though. Timer stops when you pass the exit threshold to the 'lobby' area of each map.

In anticipation of this event, I did have one char join and progress the TG enough to get access to the daily heist quests. Did one to check it out and make sure I was ready. Missed the timer but never got seen and it worked out okay. Is it indeed possible to just go in bow-ablazing and simply kill everything in sight while you grab the objectives and still complete the quest? Don't care about loot beyond the one event tix. And one tix a day is fine for me so I can continue to avoid those nasty assassins in the DB. Lol.

I like events - so pack in your meh and stow it. ❤️

I used to get excited about events. Until we got events every few weeks, which made events in general start to feel... well, less eventful.

This, BTW, is the start of a long event marathon. When the TB/DB event ends, there will be a 3-day reprieve before the Jester's event starts. And following hot on the heels of that event is the Anniversary event which this year is longer than ever... I think it's something like 4 or 5 weeks this time around?

For two months, the ESO calendar is just a solid block of events. If you don't get burned out by that, then kudos to you. But I suspect that will not be the case for many people.

      I'll just leave this here.

      2018:

Don't have access to the Thieves Guild or Dark Brotherhood DLC game packs? During the event, you can pick both of them up from the in-game Crown Store for just 500 crowns each. That's a saving of 1500 crowns!

Even better, the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood Collector's Bundles are also both on sale. These two bundles will be available for 1600 crowns each – a saving of 2400 crowns.

      2019:

Throughout this dark event, you can acquire both the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood DLC game packs for a steal, with both available in the in-game Crown Store for 1,000 crowns.

Even better, you can snatch up the Dark Brotherhood Collector’s Bundle and the Thieves Guild Collector’s Bundle for 2,000 crowns each.

By this rate, they're gonna cost twice the original price in 2021. :P

So we get 500 free crowns and then the price doubles. How clever ZOS.

Eh. 500 crowns was awesome, but they're still worth $10 a piece all day long.

I do have to concur with @code65536 though, event hell and the container hell that it produces starts to backfire at some point.

I really feel that the Psijic house, followed by the great indirik chase of 2018-2019 is ultimately a marketing test to see just how far they can push people to jump through hoops in pursuit of that 'free' carrot.

Doing those heists are about as much fun as getting a tetanus shot. The sacraments aren't fun, either, but at least they're a little better.

Since they are listed at 2000 each in the store , I would guess it is each, but ZOS marketing is as clear as mud (as usual)

      It's the right of theft.

My thieves and assassins are an Altmer and a Dunmer and will stay that way.... just gear out in N.M.E or Night Terror if you really want/need the detection circle reduction for the event. It's not like they're expensive on any server.

It's 2000 crowns, at most. Still no clarification if the 1000 crowns for TG/DB is combined or each, due to marketing's usual ambiguity.

I know but I guess ZOS noticed the regulary returning topic of people complaining that heists are impossible to finish because of the timer.

Ugh. I love DB and TG, but Sacraments and Heists are literally my least favorite parts of those DLCs (I HATE that they put any sort of timer on stealth missions. You're penalized for taking your time on a stealth mission?! WTF?!)

I was looking forward to this event, because stealth stuff is my jam... but this is just disappointing. I'm going to do enough to get my berry, then go back to pickpocketing and contracts, because those are WAY more fun than Sacraments and Heists. Yuck yuck yuck.

      Living vicariously through my characters.

      My Girls:
"If you were trapped in your house for, say, a year, how would you pass the time?"

Nephikah the Houseless, dunmer assassin: "I suppose I could use the break. I have a lot of business holdings now that need management."
Swum-Many-Waters, elderly argonian healer: "I think that I would enjoy writing a memoir."
Silh'ki, khajiit warrior-chef: "Would this one be able to go outside, to the nearby river? It's hard to fish without water!"
Peregrine Huntress, bosmer hunter: "Who is forcing me to stay inside, and where can I find them?"
Lorenyawe, altmer mechanist: "And why would I want to go outside in the first place? Too much to be done in the workshop."
Lorelai Magpie, breton master thief: "I'd go nuts. Lucky for me, I have a little experience sneaking out!"
Rasheda the Burning Heart, redguard knight: "I would continue my training to keep my skills sharp."
Hex-Eye Azabi, khajiit daedric priestess: "I suppose it would be lucky, then, that I built a shrine to Mephala in my backyard."
Yngva Stormhammer, nord bandit (reformed...ish): "I hate being inside even when I'm not forced to be. GET. ME. OUT."
Madam Argentia, vampire dunmer aristocrat: "I suppose it would be more of the same. I have a rather... contentious relationship with the sun."
Mazie gra-Bolga, orc scout: "Uh... I'd have to house train my bear..."
Felicia the Wanderer, imperial witch-for-hire: "What Lorelai said."
Calico Jaka-dra, retired khajiit pirate: "This one would like a rest from her grand adventures. Her jewel shop runs out of stock!"
Shimmerbeam, blind altmer psijic: "Provided that I am confined to Artaeum, I do not think I will want for things to occupy my time."
Shauna Blackfire, redguard necromancer: "Sounds like paradise. I hate people."
Kirniel the Undying, cursed bosmer warrior: "I would feel useless, not being able to fight."
Echoes-from-Dragons, argonian who thinks she's a dragon: "All the better to count my hoard!"

(Signature idea shamelessly stolen from Abeille.)

@Everstorm they seem impossible, at first, fair enough. Once you learn the patterns, locations, throw on some thieving gear, and realize the trick to beating the timer is more about patience and not getting caught than speed, the timer becomes an afterthought.

People assume they'll run out of time, so they get greedy and get seen. Getting caught has a much larger effect on your timer reduction than hanging out and waiting for the right moment ever will.

Once you realize that, you can make the timer with time to spare, even if you do muck up and get busted a couple times. In fact, if you're close enough to done, you can skip stealth entirely and just run to the exit, because the penalties won't matter.

For the sacraments, you get four mistakes free of charge. For the heists, well timed use of rapids and even one set of thieving gear can get you done in well under the 8 minutes allotted.
