My primary tank is pretty darned solid. But when they start making all this crap in DLC dungeons that one-shots you regardless? Screw it. That's not fun. This tank largely refuses to set foot in those dungeons because they've got too many mechanics and they're punishingly unforgiving even on normal. I miss normal dungeons actually being normal, and vet dungeons not being super hard mode.
What about the joy of some bosses like Planar Inhibitor and many more untauntable where your tank is completely useless and you are expected to "switch to dps"? Yes, sometimes I feel like ZoS hates tanks.
Tank is brain dead easy to play and it gets even more boring when your dps are bad, forcing you to waste time.
Want more tanks? Get more dps to learn their role.

I'm always amazed at how many max level DPS don't know they can (and need) to bash some of the bosses to interrupt the special attack.

First serious: when I lift my shield there needs to be a cone of protection immediately behind me. That’s one of the things Tera got right about tanking. The lance and shield class was my fav.
I love to tank. But this game...
Stop it with the “can’t taunt this” bs.
Or the “this phase is random targeting” bs.
I can’t stand it when I’m all set to mitigate damage and position bosses and none of it matters. Just deeps. Dps fry the whole thing, no tank needed. The first time I encountered this was years ago in Darkshade Caverns 2 and its only gotten progressively worse since. I tank because I don’t dps. I’m not a dd with a taunt. A healer contributing to damage when everyone is topped up is fine, but a tank is different.
Now less serious:
I’m a tank because I’m the hero!
Me me me!! I want the boss’ attention!! Pay no attention to the mage behind the curtain!
Also I like to flash my tankiness by running by the Undaunted Enclave with my Ebon balls out and not queuing for pledges
So in that vein, I need bigger shields and Knight Commander Pantius type “back flag” aka sashimono. Like in Hel Ra Citadel.
Make a new “must have tank” set to replace Ebon with the back flag. (Just please put it in a 4 man like Ebon is)
Sponsor “stickers” on my shield! “This crowd control brought to you by Lone Wolf Guild”

Let’s be honest here guys, any role in this game is brain dead.
You have 10 skills 2 ultimates and have to left click in between abilities. I mean come on.
I’ve played games that require over 100 keybinds and required me to not only become fluent in autohotkey, but to also play my keyboard like Beethoven.
Calling out a tank, who incidentally has to do a lot more than dps in an engagement, is downright silly.
Also healers need to have the best situational awareness of all and keep track of everyone.
If you don’t play all roles in this game across all your characters, then what are you even doing?
I’d probably not play if all I had was 15 dps characters.

@siddique Most other mmos for a start; SWTOR, WoW, etc. ESO is pretty unique in how small the hotbars are. A lot of CRPGs or CRPG spiritual successors (Dragon Age: Origins comes to mind) have extensive keybinds to keep track of as well.
How about making a fun and different build, like Waffenacht's tank sorc?: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/452276/unkillable-sorcerer#latest
People get bored of using the same sets and same race. There are clearly other ways to build a tank that works.

15K, that is elitismalexj4596b14_ESO wrote: »Can I get some DPS please? Like doing original vet content is a pain in the butt when the whole group does 15k dps between everyone.
Main issue is that tank don't pug they simply ask in guild chat. Tank LFG 4 key run.
shortly after you have an group optionally add missing guy as pug and run.
Tanks don't control queue they own it so why pug.
