It was quite fun last year, most people were running bank characters, crafters and level 12 alts just to get as many gift boxes as possible, so I didn't come across any elitism or toxicity, though I stuck to normals for speed. The only let down was the buggy group finder.

Someone always complaining about nothing. Welcome to that group OP.

I can speak from lots of experience that running normal dungeons with Group Finder Tool is easy regardless of the "pugs" put in your group. If apparently you are so good to complain about "pugs" then you can whiz through a normal dungeon regardless of who's in your group.

What do those pony have to do with the Undaunted festival? What info did I miss?

One of very old news articles had this info. I can't find it now, so either I don't search good enouh or they removed it. Anyway, based on that info, this year we should have a chance to get some of Scalecaller pets from Undaunted event reward boxes. But for these boxes we will have to use group finder, same as previous year :/ Nice try with adding new rewards (if they haven't changed their mind of course), but I still won't be doing as many random dungeons this year as I did last year, cause that was total madness :D

Ok so you need to do randoms for the boxes while any final boss does for the feather.

Easy enough to just solo a normal pledge dungeon in most cases if you don't want to PUG it.

If you can't carry someone through FG I or BC I, you're probably the one being carried.

Unless RDF straight up breaks, the queue line should pop almost immediately, regardless of role. If not, there are zone chat premades and tanks/heals that will happily be for hire.

EDIT: Plus, these are all instanced, the other events were not. It's not like you have to wait for the prior group to finish before your group can start.

Alas I have not seen anything stating there will be any special drops apart from the tickets. So my guess is run FG 1 solo, skip half the dungeon, get the three tickets from the boss and be done with the event for the day.

I really liked the 10 Million Stories/Undaunted event. Sadly, this event doesn't seem to be anything like it.

Edit: I stand corrected. There will be box rewards. https://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en-us/news/post/55271.

No.. No presents?? In that case I agree with you, I'll just do BC/FG solo for the tickets.

Oh please, CWC was super easy and fast.
Normal dungeons are perfectly doable. The only inconvenience is that my tank might have to spend extra 10-15 mins in random normal daily dungeon while lvl 20-30 players will be poking bosses with toothpicks.
But aside that I was even thinking to carry some noobs for fun in FG I while farming for Viper's Sting set on my DPS main character.

Wish they had a full list of all the rewards available, I got everything besides the imperial horse. I ran it on 8 characters every day without fail and still didn't get the horse. Hopefully my luck is better this year.

Yes, only downside was a bit go-go-go as many wanted to do this on lots of alts.

I feel that they refrain from comprehensive rewards lists because some people will use them as a checklist during an event where you're not guaranteed to be able to collect every item. And then it turns into a case of "Look at what I didn't get" as opposed to feeling good about the rewards that you did collect.

I ran Undaunted hard last year (11 characters per day) and I didn't receive the jackpot or some of the known collectibles. And I got the flu the week afterward, which I may have contracted in a City of Ash II PUG that felt about as much fun.
So I'm motivated to do what I can but not to stress out too much over the rewards themselves.

That said, the PTS reference list was:

Upon completion of the dungeon, you’ll receive a Mysterious Reward Box that contains a bevy of items, and could include one of the following:
    Survey Reports
    Treasure Maps
    Undaunted Plunder
    Transmute Crystals
    Undaunted Keys
    Scalecaller Themed Pets
    Motif Chapters
    Mounts
    Houses

Doing normal dungeons are so easy with GF. Why is this going to be an issue to get a ticket? Its normal difficulty.

Most or all of the original dungeons unless there is a unavoidable group mechanic can be soloed.

Been looking forward to this event for a while now, I'm geeked! I can solo so many normals I'm probably not even going to bother with groups, unless guildies need/want running mates. So many of my crew need their undaunted leveled up and I love running with noobs in these, they really appreciate getting in a group without a 810 speed running through everything.

The news article is out now about the event.
Apparently it has to be a random daily and you can't choose the dungeon.

    you say that......

today my healer pug had some team members who stood so far away they were greyed out in the group list and a tank who managed to die because I thought he was a ranged DPs and the guy under the boss wasn't him... the "tank" was actually hiding behind me at the time too.

still complete them of course, its only normal difficulty but it can make for interesting times.

I am kind of dreading it .. .

Only did one dungeon early on with another player and they didnt like the fact that I was a complete newby with no experience of MMO's or the chat system. This was after I told them at the beginning I didn't have any experience

I just kind of followed them around and helped kill whatever but at the end they said I should get more experience (not in a nice way ) before trying one again.

Now I know I am not the best at combat and frankly that has put me off ever doing a group one again - BUT
    I need those tickets

What server/platform are you on? If you are on PC-NA and around in the evenings East Coast time, I'm happy to team up. I have 3 healers and a tank ready to go.

I think there are two different things:

    1. Event tickets are gained by killing the last boss in any group dungeon for the first time in a day.

    2. Rewards for the actual Undaunted event are gained upon completing a Group Finder activity.

The comment was made in reference the the bingo cards and thread made shortly after the announcements of Murkmire and the nerfs.

Essentially just make a bingo card with all the complaints: fake tanks, separate DLCs, speed runners, bow snipe spammers, potatos, etc making up the squares and have fun. It wasnt meant to be taken seriously.

I don't see the issue. Just don't use the group tool and go with friends or guild if you don't want to pug dungeons. And you can even earn the tickets in normal version.

    From ZOS notes:

Undaunted Celebration Event: November 29 – December 5

To earn Event Tickets during the Undaunted Celebration Event, you must complete a dungeon (Normal or Veteran). You will receive three Event Tickets from the final boss of the first dungeon you complete in addition to the normal rewards. You don’t have to be in a random dungeon LFG group to earn your Event Tickets!

Last year I only ran with 3 friends.

It took us up to an hour to get in a dungeon because of how badly the queue was broken.

I'm certain this year will be a cluster****.
