Just don't use group finder if you're not queuing as DPS (run with a premade). If you are queuing as DPS, you can easily solo all non-DLC dungeons (even vet). Your teammates don't matter.

My healer is quite looking forward to pugging normal non-alliance pledges. She quite enjoys helping newer players get through dungeons and suspects there will be quite a few new dungeon explorers!

Yes me too, that's why I hated this event. You want to help someone new, explain a mechanic, wait for the quest but there's always someone rushing through the dungeon pulling everything not waiting for a second.

Why not a Wrothgar event? huge zone, lots of places for things to happen.

We got a wrothgar event already.. perhaps you are newer to the game but the events are tied to the content in question's orginal release date and generally are referred to anniversary events.

Then you have the various obligatory holiday events and the participation events like midyear mayhem and undaunted dungeon events.

Not looking forward to all the complaints about not getting the chance to finish the quest due to group disbandment and it will be a problem. Just took my new tank thru BC1 and that is some long overblown dialog at the end. Why? Why did you make quests take so long to complete in these dungeons? Better question is WHY haven't they done something about it yet. It's ridiculous.

If you are going to encourage group play at least make it enjoyable. Every dungeon I haven't done I'm stressed about missing out on its quest and no, typing doing quest or even saying it outloud has little effect on speed runners. Though I can, not everyone can solo a lot of these dungeons. Had a guy on his 6th try trying to complete. It's ridiculous.

Sad too because there was a lot of work put in these dungeons and you hardly ever get a chance to admire the devs work.

I am kind of dreading it .. .

Only did one dungeon early on with another player and they didnt like the fact that I was a complete newby with no experience of MMO's or the chat system. This was after I told them at the beginning I didn't have any experience

I just kind of followed them around and helped kill whatever but at the end they said I should get more experience (not in a nice way ) before trying one again.

Now I know I am not the best at combat and frankly that has put me off ever doing a group one again - BUT
    I need those tickets

Very rare behaviour, the vast majority of players are really helpful in dungeons. I've been playing since beta and can count on one hand the amount of rude dorks I've met in dungeons, and I've run them all countless times.

I'm only doing it for the tickets so soloing a dungeon on normal then I'm done. The chance of getting something good from the 'rewards' from the random queue will be so tiny it isn't worth the hassle.

We all know how the last 'chance at a house drop' went. You only ever got junk.

I'm planning to form groups via zone chat or my guilds and then just use the dungeon finder to get into a dungeon (because if I've understood correctly that's the only way to get the tickets and RNG box). I'd much rather deal with people who are new to dungeons/the whole game so we can figure it out together than deal with people who snap at anyone who dares admit they don't know the dungeon by heart, who goes too slowly, tries to read dialogue or hasn't copied a build from their personal favourite youtuber.

It's just a shame spamming chat is still the only way to get a group with like-minded people. I don't understand why ZOS are still using such an old fashioned form of group finder which just dumps anyone into any group with a space instead of offering choices. Other than they seem to have an aversion to menus with anything more than basic options (e.g. guild stores).

I don't see the issue. Just don't use the group tool and go with friends or guild if you don't want to pug dungeons. And you can even earn the tickets in normal version.

    From ZOS notes:

Undaunted Celebration Event: November 29 – December 5

To earn Event Tickets during the Undaunted Celebration Event, you must complete a dungeon (Normal or Veteran). You will receive three Event Tickets from the final boss of the first dungeon you complete in addition to the normal rewards. You don’t have to be in a random dungeon LFG group to earn your Event Tickets!

@Dragonnord Although that's what they said in the "unlock an Indrik Mount" article, that is directly contradicted by today's article announcing the Undaunted event:
"Here’s what you need to do to participate:
    1. Navigate to the Group & Activity Finder
    2. Select Dungeon Finder
    3. Select either Random Normal Dungeon or Random Veteran Dungeon
    4. Select your role (DPS, healing, or tanking) and queue up"

@ZOS_GinaBruno So which is correct? Do you need to "queue up through the Activity Finder"? Or do you "not need to be in a LFG group"?

I think that is correct. Reward box needs a random group. Event tickets just need final boss completion.

That would make sense. I must admit that with this migraine I stopped reading when the event no longer interested me by saying Activity Finder, so may have missed the nuance. Thanks for clarifying.

The Indrik Feather tickets will be looted from the last boss of the first dungeon you do in the day (on any character), regardless of how you got into the dungeon (group finder, pre-made, solo)

The reward coffers for the Undaunted event will be part of the reward mail you get for completing a random dungeon via the activity finder.

Two separate things that can be done together.

It's actually for me best event hands down.

Lot of fun, very nice items in lootboxes, absolutely fast runs and very hilarious moments with low level alts (in truth high CP/expert players) doing lot of damage and high CP characters not even fully geared or with just a couple of skills lol (crafters or mules) performing awfully, but who cared? It was lot of fun for all.

I really had a great time with this event and same for all the people I know who just pugged everything those days.

Wrothgar was already and the PUGS in the Undaunted Event are the best, just dont expect to rush a Dungeon or look at getting kicked, that is what a lot of people did last Year, be friendly, be helpful and be as fast as the slowest Member in your Group, actually, that is what should always be the Case in a MMO :) And yes, i have 10 Toons on NA and 3 on EU, so, i have a few Dungeons to run

@Tevalaur It says "You don’t have to be in a random dungeon LFG group". It says "not in a random group", it means you can form YOUR OWN group of 4 friends, and then use the group finder tool (even if your group is already formed manually) to port to the dungeon. :)
