What do you think of the new Cropsford? (Murkmire update)

It's impossible to solo. Even if you kill all the guards in a 20 second time frame on each flag, and mount and leave with 60 horse speed at the exact moment the flag tick reaches 50%, it is still too slow and cannot prevent the NPCs on the third flag from respawing.

Did this loop three times and ... sigh ...

I understand why this change was implemented i.e. to make taking Cropsford more difficult due to its unique location, but lets not forget there is a set vendor there which people need sometimes. One of the good things about towns was that one could easily solo it to get the required item sets (barring enemy players). The new change to Cropsford makes it impossible to do so, and is especially bad for people who play on DC (because most likely, we don't own Cropsford).

Edit: I completely forgot about the daily quests but I see no possible compromise. If you would like to do daily quests in Cropsford solo, try and not aggro stuff (which I think is impossible since one quest giver is right next to the flag?). So basically, now we can’t do dailies solo. GJ ZOS

I'm okay with the change. It should not be solo-able and people who need item sets should buzz off and come back with friends. LOL.

I like that Cropsford is more difficult to take, but I'd like a better way to access the item set vendor.

I don't care. I have enough DPS / speed to solo it anyway.

the guards spawn too fast, you need a PVE build in order to solo it, and thats a bad idea in a PvP Zone.

Even better, try it solo in no-CP land. It's possible , but man the guards hit like trucks. Angry, vengeful trucks.

But I'm on Xbox and haven't soloed anything for ages, so....

You can solo it. However you need to either be very fast or, going A -> B -> C, bounce back and kill the respawned guards on A (and maybe stand on the flag a bit) before you flip C, to prevent them from reflipping A.

    So basically do something like A -> B -> kill C guards but don´t flip -> A again -> flip C.

I´ve done it but it is annoying.

Is the flag by the goblin still unguarded?

You get that one. Run to the lower one imo. Kill guards, run the moment it flips and take main flag?

Also to do the quests, you can kill the guards and not flip the flag?

Gonna have to check it out first hand though

All flags are guarded by atleast 3 NPCs now. The previously unguarded flag now has 5-6 NPCs (2 Honor Guards).
Bruma and Vlastarus are still the same I believe.

the outside farthest flagg now has 6 guards and the timer on their respawn is Very Fast, way too short.

They basically changed the Outlier flag which was previously guarded by 1 NPC (i.e. goblin) with 20k health and replaced him with 2 Honor Guards, 2 Guards and a few more trash guards. So you now have to fight guards on each flag. Because of this it is impossible to take Cropsford solo, because by the time you are done killing the guards on two flags and are onto the third, on the first flag the NPCs will respawn and the flag will flip back.

This is a problem because towns are sources of gear and quests, which should be accessible to solo players. You cant expect people to bring friends with them always to complete a daily quest or buy something off the gear vendor.

(And don't misunderstand, its not about DPS here. The biggest time spent is when the NPCs are dead and we are standing around waiting for the flag to reach 50%. I kill all guards within 30 seconds except on the new Outlier flag, which is probably like 45 seconds)

It is not as easy. After killing all respawned mobs at A you won't be fast enough to flip flag at C before respawning mobs at B. It is doable but requires very good DPS, smooth lag free gameplay and a lot of running.

It doesn't seem as much that they have done it to Bruma. I went and took it last night and the outlier flag was still just the odd Daedra nearby.

Seems a strange choice if it's only Cropsford where this change was made.

AD have always had an issue with the towns Vlas and Crop as they give easy access to the back keeps by Bloodspawning once captured by EP/DC. Zos solution...make them accessible by Transit and add Outposts by the outlier keeps for new Bloodspawn points...but hey...at least bridges can be destroyed now....that’ll show those EP... These changes had Zero logic/strategic reasoning...just random plop on map crap. The North flag at Crops looks So out of place now...like wha dah hell are they constructing there!?lol better design concepts in Minecraft...

They should have put an outpost where crops is, and put crops where Harlun is. Simple. The way it is now, the symmetry of the map is broken in a way that is disadvantageous to EP.
It is hard to defend a town and easier to defend an outpost.
I know this is looking at it from the opposite point of view of this post, but it is related, since if they had moved the town inward, they could have left its defenses the way they were.
3 GOs, a Warlord, and bunches of prefects etc-- all classes...I've wasted a lot of time in PVP

Oh well, damn. That's actually quite a bummer. I used to do the quests in Cyrodiil quite often, and considering I'm Covenant, it sounds like Cropsford is out of the picture for sure now.

What if you leveled an AD character to 10 and bought till your hearts content? There's much to be enraged about regarding Cyrodiil but this is one you could quick fix.

So far as I know the item boxes themselves are bind-to-character, so if you open them on a level 10 toon it will drop level 10 items.

I'm not sure about this but I vaguely remember the boxes themselves being bound to character. The items inside them are bind-on-equip. Do correct me if I'm wrong.

Asking people to grind a new AD/EP toon to level 50 for easy access to Cropsford gear/quests is ... well... not how I imagine well planned out games to be like.
