    I don't understand the sustain changes at all...

    They said they wanted to balance sustain... so they improved it for pet sorcs when the pet/heavy attack build never had an issue with it. It's the non-pet sorcs that struggle.

    If they want to make shields have a 1 second cast time then fine... I think its an exceptionally bad change.... but alright....

    BUT, if shields have a 1 second cast time then Sorcs need an instant cast heal to compensate.

    You can't have a class with all its defensive skills tied to a cast time. You need something thats instantly castable. & No, I don't count being tied to a useless clunky flapping pigeon as a viable option.

    Make dark deal an instant cast heal and put all the resource return on an 'over time' basis to compensate.

    The reps cant be blamed really. IMO they were pulled in as a novelty. A bridge between devs and us to make it seem as if zos wanted actual input from the community. As you can well see that was not the case whatsoever. Even though kena mained mnb since forever, i sincerely don't believe he or any other nb rep would want this kind of class gutting change. We were duped.

    Agree. This is not good. I’m no Sorc champion but this is counterintuitive.

    shields have 1 sec cast time now...that'll work out great with the lag time i get between switching bars, if i even can switch after 3 tries :o

    I would like to see someone under fire and casting shields on the PTS before passing judgment.

    The way it is now a Sorc can stay alive under heavy assault if it is a good player. Can that same good players still stay alive with this change? Would like to see that.

    Streak/shield/streak?

    I do like the overload changes. I really wish though that ZOS would have gone a step further and changed the weapon you were holding to a lighting weapon so the flow of the game was the same and just a projectile came out.

    If I could have my cake and eat it too, I would like to see a melee and ranged overload morph.

    This is the normal overload we have now

    Morph 2
    Melee morph

    * You weapon becomes a lighting weapon and will do lighting damage with your light and heavy attacks.

    * Created a new visual effect for the melee morph

    This way the weave would feel good on stam or ranged. The base damage would be the same for both abilities.

    Aww, they removed the 3rd OL bar! I can understand them wanting to have the classes somewhat unified, but damn this sucks for my sorcs!

    Did I read somewhere that dark deal is now instant? If so, yes! Sucks my magsorc was rekking everything too! Back to my stamplar I go!

    I'm still looking for the part that made sustain so much better, assuming you're not running pets.

    Energy Overload restores magicka every time you light attack in your weave. Dark Deal/Conversion restores stamina/magicka while blocking with a shield/ice staff. Mines got reduced cost some patches ago. Sorc wards upped to a base of 9 seconds and mitigate damage based on your resistances (likely crit resistances too).

    It's something.

    If they really add cast-time to damage-shields thats gonna be biggest mag-sorc nerf in history of this game. I lack english words to describe how unreasonable, not-well-thought and survivability-destroying it would be, especially in pvp. That change just must not make it to live. I could live with crittable shields as there is resistance to counter that, but cast-time on shields... no way.

    I felt that I have been fighting more damage shields then health bars for the last 4 years. I am a happy stam dk right now :)

    Been that way since early beta. I was part of the in-house super secret 24/7 beta test group and even back then we were largely ignored.

    Case in point, we tested the last patch for 4 weeks before the game launched and then ZOS ignored *all* our feedback and went live with a different patch we had never seen.
    If you were around for launch, you'll remember how *that* turned out for them.

    I was also part of the "Council of Nirn" for a while. That was (still is?) a collection of guild masters that met with the ZOS developers every other week to provide feedback.
    Again, we were largely ignored.

    Thought I read it as: Instant cast - Restore 1/2 and the rest is a slowly added.

    Its just worse now, and nobody really ran it in PvE anyway /shrug.

    You are right: stamden and stamblade are on a separate level, but stamsorc are still viable and I'll not going to waste my 44 pvp rank level (yeah I know there are ppl with multiple grand overlord). Stam Sorc still got top mobility with hurricane + streak: with swift jeweles they can still be viable I guess and for sure a lot better than a magicka's one after ZOS last "miracle".

    I just hope that they revert the 1 second cast time on shields, it's absurd how anyone in the ''balance team'' or whatever it's called thought this was a good idea. How out of touch can you be with your own game?

    By adding a cast time to hardened ward, ZoS killed pet sorc in PvP.

    The only way to keep pets alive is to shield them with hardened. Now, pets will be killed all the time.

    GG ZoS, we can't even build around our burst heal because our no defensive CP low critical resistance matriarch will die.

    This is really a dead sentence.

    It's about not leaving Sorc class. Now the sorc is completely broken - there won't be any sorc in PVP anymore with these changes I assure you.

    I got the feeling you'll be a very sad stam dk asa the stamblade and stamden pop of cyrodill will have a demografic "boom" or do you really belive that most of the magicka sorc out there will come in pvp just to be an ap back for the ohters? And a Stambuild should have no problem putting pressure on a magicka sorc. Magicka sorc it's great vs potato but mediocre at best vs anyone decent.

    swift jewelry makes streak useless. and swift is the current meta.
