It bothers me that Xbox doesn't get the 6 month subscription option for a cheaper monthly price like PC and PS4 does. Probably a Microsoft issue but I'm sure something could be done if they tried.

I’m actually thankful for it right now. It allows me to unsub without having already paid too far in advance. Two months ago I would have happily bought a 6 month subscription. Now I am very happy I couldn’t.

I quit paying for eso+ because console gets no love. Now I've decided im just gonna chill on the outside looking in here waiting for them to give us either an option to move my toon to pc, or the stuff pc already gets.
Done spending my money on anything from zos. Im still gonna play just to keep my champ points up, in case i decide i want to start playing a lot again.
Also after the jewelry kick in the nuts, i will not pre purchase the next chapter, not until the final patch notes are out. They burned us pretty good on the jewelery fiasco.

It honestly does feel like we're an afterthought. We had to seriously put up a huge stink to get Text Chat, something that is very basic for MMOs. Its like they dont have a serious grasp on this demograhic. Im regularly frustrated with how slow they are to roll anything out for Console while moving as fast as they can to get it in the hands of PC players. We still havent seen the Event rewards for Quakecon.

Underappreciated, sure. We've been asking for simple QoL additions for years. And what did we get last patch? Change chat channel colours. And broken HDR.
I'd have preferred being able to selectively mute a channel, not have all or nothing.

    I want my HDR back!

ZOS doesn't seem to care much about QOL because in every PTS when someone says "Hey ZOS, this is a bit tedious, you may want to rethink the design." Someone immediately replies with; "Don't worry, I'm already making an add-on for it." Leaving us console players to get the tedious crap again.

Sorry you feel that way. When I think of Tedious, though, I remember crafting arrows in Kelethin on EverQuest. You would take a point piece, a shaft, a fletching and a nock and combine them in a kit, and it would make a single arrow. Yep. Click-drag each of the pieces into the kit and click the combine button. Over and over and over and over again. You could easily expect to spend 4-6 hours per week in-game crafting arrows for a ranged character.

I haven't found anything that tedious, or carpal tunnel inducing in ESO, but YMMV.

No, I agree that is a lot more tedious lol.... However there are still too many time sinks in this game imo and I have played my fair share of MMO's over the last 20+ years.

Making food and potions takes so many button clicks to make even a stack of 200. Yes adding an option to predefine how many you want to make would still require the same amount of time, but at least then I wouldn't need to manually press the button 250x for 1000 potions. That's if you don't spam the button trying to make it as quickly as possible.

Skyshards and lore books were fine the first two to three play throughs. Now though it's the only thing stopping me from leveling more characters. My second character only has about 200 SP and my third barely any skyshards collected and no mages guild except what was found randomly.

If I were able to see on a mini-map or even just the main map where ones I collected on a previous character are located, I would definitely have no problem collecting them. It would be much more fluid than using a third party to find them.

Our CP is account wide, why can't locations like these be account wide if the user chooses to turn it on?

Don't even get me started on the eye sore and time sink that is the guild store..... You can easily spend 4 hours a day searching for one item that may or may not even be listed....

Still having to log into each character everyday to train one point of your riding skills. Push those riding upgrades in store more ZOS... There needs to be a mass train option in game..... even if it only does one a day, at least I can log in one day, purchase 60 upgrades at one time and in 60 days that riding ability will be done. Or you could buy 7 days, 10, however many you wanted. Something would be nice even if not this.

Having to redo CP, skills and equipment manually anytime you want to switch roles or change between PvP and PvE. This can take a while sometimes and would be much better if we had presets we could activate to change it all over to one we predefined. They finally allowed us to change one skill point at a time at least...

There are other issues, but these are some of the more common and complained about ones. Ive ranted on long enough. While it may not be the most tedious game in existence, doesn't mean some things couldn't be improved upon to give the user a better experience and have more time to actually enjoy playing the game rather than be stuck navigating a menu screen.

Hey guys, apologies for the lack of updates. We were out of town for PAX and just got back to the office today.

The current HDR visuals will stay the way they are for now. However, we’re going to look into a compromise on the asset saturation between the old version and the current one that will be implemented in a future update. We don’t want to rush another change, and we’ll give you a heads up when we have a better idea of timing.

I'm glad you had fun spending our money this weekend. Farewell, ESO. We had a good run.

All console players pay $5 per month just to get to the login screen.

PlayStation plus and Xbox gold both cost $60 per year just to get to the base game with the base guild trader interface and no access to combat metrics or dressing room or minimaps or sky shard arrows etc.

It'd be great if they implemented some of the mostly used add-ons for the console players, like the dressing room or combat metrics.

But I don't have much problems technical wise playing on PS4 pro, maybe they could've loaded textures faster somehow, that'd be awesome.

All I want, is the ability to have saved bars on console. It's such a pain swapping 2 bars when I'm soloing, then my dungeon pops and I have to swap all my heals in, and memorise the spots I put each skill so I don't confuse myself in the dungeon.

Then have swap back to dps skills because blockade is the only damage skill I use as a healer in groups.

i am play console (ps4 pro) and i think zenimax does not care about us ... maj after maj the game is more and more broken ... crash, lag, disconnection ... hrd broken ... invisible players ... infinite loads etc etc ... the only thing that works well and is updated correctly is the shop ..
In addition I feel that the community is emptying progressively ... bye bye eso

I can’t believe the current situation with HDR and the response from @ZOS_GinaBruno on it. It doesn’t make any sense.

The game now looks terrible in comparison to pre update.

I have unsubscribed. I am so disappointed.

    With things missing like:

Loyalty subscriber rewards (have subsribed since launch day on 2 accounts, just give me that Ice wraith and Dwarven Shepherd already)

Twitch crates not enabled for consoles, yet they kept advertising it non stop instead of just adding it for us.

Add ons, for competitive end game they make a huge difference, and the QoL some brings like crafting X amounts of potions is worth a lot.

    So yes, yes I do.
I don’t mind the grouped incremental updates a bit later since that’s how consoles work.
But the above has been bothering me for a while.

After playing the game nearly daily since launch on PS4 I can say that yes, Console players are treated absolutely as 2nd class citizens by the company. It's one of the many reasons I stopped playing the game a few months ago. In no particular order:
    • The development, release and patch cycle still heavily favors PC players. They get their releases 2 weeks earlier, they get weekly patches. Console players usually get one patch between every major content release, unless something is catastrophically broken.
    • I was really pleasantly surprised by the release announcement for Morrowind which had the same release date for all platforms ... only to see the company back down again and again treating the PC players better be offering them a "pre-release"
    • Feature enhancements are extremely rare and if they are done then they usually implemented in a half-useless state. I think we only ever got major enhancements (text chat and buff trackers), the former in a very bare bones implementation, the later is virtually useless. Other requests which have been asked for for years (like key remapping, search fields in the GUI) have simply been ignored.
    • Bug fixes for Console issues (like the really wonky break-free issue) have been ultra rare.
    • Twitch rewards. Those should never been released in their current form. To release a loyalty reward program and then only implement it for one part of the player base shows how much they value the other part of said base. You are free to draw you own conclusion ....

I really loved the game and world they build, and I spent hundreds of EURs for items in the game over the year but the general direction of the game and (more important) the way they treated us PS4 players finally drove me away.

the game is broken on console and it is verified more and more each update ... It's a shame because it's a good game but too much is too much ... Maybe it should stop eso + and no longer buy crowns to make things happen but I doubt it. They let him die and just enjoy the money you leave them. Sad situation ..

I am fully aware that playing ESO on XBOX makes me an afterthought. PC players can put in their 2 cents all they want. However at the end of the day, they sit back in front of that computer, boot up ESO and benefit from at least two add ons (usually many more than two).

In general, PC is easier. There is no middle man for customization, making it easier for zos to achieve. That being said, console seems ignored most of the time. This new HDR issue really seals the deal. I know at least a dozen people who just gave up on ESO after the most recent announcement.

The amount of money that people pour into this game warrants more attention towards the customer base. Console players far outnumber PC players, but PC is where the changes are focused and then they trickle to console. From a business standpoint, things don't look good for ESO on the current track.
