Starting tonight, the game will be opened worldwide, so that there will be greater competition for limited resources. Now i know new games have some glitches but if you ask me what i got for my extra 20.00 the best would have been the 5 day pre game play which was not even that. It was more like 2.5 days. The server problems, Glitch fixes and Like Right now ITS DOWN AGAIN !!!!. NOT with the extra $ 20.00 who cares about a pet.. who cares about imperial race we want full 5 days Pre access and we get not even close????
I think these paying people on here deserve something for the 2.5 days missing!!! if you agree Post !
Akuza
Sin Vida Founder DAOC Mordred PVP...7 years
ESO founder...for 2.5 days
I agree I could care less about the bonus gear and horse and crap i wanted the 5 days its the entire reason for buying early so for people who say its a bonus stop fooling your self take that away and alot of people wouldnt have bought the game till after release
Through exploits they reached max level... and for me that would be a horrible waste of $60. I like games with challenge and rushing to max level is, to me at least, a horrible thing to do to yourself. After all, what can you possibly have gained by doing that?

If you fail to pay they will shut you down, but if they fail to produced what they said they would, their customers (some) will give you excuses for them. This is what they love.
Not good for business or word of mouth. Many of my fiancé's work buddies were going to buy and play, now with the reported down time and the lies about early access (bonus or not)...they have decided not to and just play their other MMOs. This is just one case.
Their actions do matter and so does what they print/type on any advertisement. Defend them if you will, they are hoping you will. But don't be surprised if they keep up with shady dealings and end up F2P.
Now after saying that, I could really care a less. WoW is coming out with a new expansion, and I always have Tera where I do pay a sub if I play it. I do love ESO, but I won't deal with another shady company like EA. So it is up to them.
Strike one for them as far as I am concerned (and I am a heavy Cash Shop spender). It's not about how many days I got to play, but what they advertised and not receiving what they advertised.
It's all about there pitch (word) and how they stuck to it. Yes, I love ESO. It is one of the most beautiful games I ever owned. The freedom to do what I want. So this isn't knocking the game.

I understand that you paid for the game and that early access is a bonus but its the reason we buy it before launch so don't try to push that one to me. I feel the least they could do is push launch back 1 day like other companies do to give us what we paid for or give us something in game to make up for it. I just feel like we were ripped off a bit.
No. No one agrees with you.

I have a big problem with a company that charges $120 for imperial edition selling that digital version as a package with early access being one of the selling points- and during this time there's a very extended downtime (there's one as I write this apparently preparing for public launch as well) and with a very unstable product. Especially one that also will be charging a monthly sub. The monthly sub should really give a stronger product quality guarantee.
I ran into a lot of combat issues (I had to spam some skills to get them to finally do something) which is annoying as a healer, about 4 or 5 quest lines a day I could not complete due to missing NPCs which meant not only that I couldn't progress that quest line, but I also miss out on those skill points. My main story quest was bugged out (got kicked then rolled back after completion and couldn't re-enter) therefore I can not continue the story until someone fixes it, some mechanics for quests would take several attempts to get going, guild chat consistently breaking, guilds broke twice, whispers died, the wayshrine travel died a couple of times.
THEN THE GOLD SPAMMERS OMFG! No options to re-size the chat window enough to find the spammer's name to ignore, I actually had to go to settings and make the chat so small i could barely read it just so that I could find the spammer's name to ignore, then make the chat size ideal again... at least a few times each hour.
A lot of people will say to me "stop bitching it's a new game there will be bugs" and I agree. But almost every bug was reported to Bethesda during beta consistently, those bugs were well and truely known - yet not addressed, they launched without repairs anyway, knowing full well that launch will likely bring it's own primordial stew of live issues.
Which leads us to the whole game comparison which is what everyone likes to do on a lot of mmo forums. Did other mmo launches go 100% smooth? Most of them, no. Does that mean it's tradition? No, but less surprising. That still doesn't change how Bethesda bravely announced the pay-wall / box price AND subscription price set-up stating that it ensures a higher quality game. Plus as stated in the last paragraph; this needs to be mostly contained and repaired during beta BEFORE launch, otherwise it's better for EVERYONE to just push the title back until it's ready.
There are 2 positives I take out of this and that is behind all the crap there is a very good game with a solid foundation of story exploration and combat, once the bugs are fixed of course. Coming from an Australian gamer, I did not get latency issues often as well which is quality so far, though official public launch hasn't happened yet so I'm not holding my breath.
My goal is to play until my first month is up. That's 30 days for Bethesda to either make an attempt to better their product (which I might add is currently one the most expensive MMOs out in a world of thousands of MMOs) or to some how own up and take some responsibility and make some allowances until their product is up to scratch and subscription quality. If this does not happen I refuse to pay my hard earned $$ to a company who is clearly not interested in keeping a considerable reputation in the gaming world. I'm sure a large portion of players are on the same page. I know Bethesda didn't work all these years on this title to be spat on, so they need to man up.
You have got what you paid for. The game. Early access is just a bonus. Get over it or read the Terms of use, section 6.
So people are still not satisfied. I'm sorry but I don't think this game is for you. Nor will it ever be. I'm sorry you feel this way but maybe it's time to go back to a more established game that doesn't cause you such distress.jaschacasadiob16_ESO wrote: »Starting tonight, the game will be opened worldwide, so that there will be greater competition for limited resources. So now it's their fault that you waited too long to order game? I'm confused. So confused by people."grace period until Sunday at 8AM EDT/12PM (noon) GMT before being required to transition your account to live. This will cover those who purchased ESO from an online retailer and won't be getting your box shipped in time"
Thie fastest shipping I can pay for is overnight (not including weekends) and it still won't be here in time
is this some kind of JOKE?
I actually didn't know about any downtime because I have a full time job and activity so I only play for an hour on the weeknights. I've played every night so far this week with no issues. So no, I don't feel "screwed" out of early access. I love love love love love ESO so far. Perfect game for people with lives.
I love all of this. Also +1000 interweb points for using the word recompense in a sentence. Well played sir, well played.Ahnastashia wrote: »A lot of people purchased the game early as a result of the indicated 5 or 3 day early access "bait" aka what we say we'll offer you so that you'll go ahead and buy our product. This was one of the selling points for pre-purchase. How many people would have pre-purchased the game if they had been told that there would be some major downtime (something like 20+hours now)? I think I would have waited had I known. I understand there have been unanticipated problems... but the planned maintenance in the middle of the day, for 3-4 hours the day before "official" launch... probably not the best idea (imho). I would have done the scheduled maintenance at maybe 1 AM EST? I'm just saying..
1am EST is 10pm my time, *** me right? You people are crying just to cry. And I would have pre-ordered the game even without the early access. Please pull your heads out of your asses.
I see people trying the hard sell with statements like "WoW has a new expansion coming out, I'm a big cash shop spender" etc, like any company is supposed to defecate in their panties over the money they may or may not get out of these peoples pockets? If you're unhappy then bail, it's not a prison. Request a refund, leave the game behind & god speed.
You obviously don't know the difference between being constructive & involved in the community vs being the squeaky wheel looking for some sort of recompense when you don't deserve any. It's people like this that ruin games for everyone. Take your money & hit the bricks I say. Cheers, -MisterToe
