https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a0e2ugmF04MThis is the theme to Summerset?
Seriously?
Jeezus, can someone please stop regurgitating the same song into different chords already?
Very disappointed.
The only speed to make this theme sound the best is 0.
The beat isn't the issue, it's the chords.that beat is the beat of the elder scrolls now, has been since morrowind
"Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing.”

Oblivion and Skyrim had their defining and unique theme songs. ESO (launch) had a great one too.
Since then, it's like the composer has taken every ES theme song, threw it in a blender, then dumped out the audible concoction.
I expected better.
It's not a bad theme, just... Morrowind 1.5 with a rip from Oblivion, mashed up with chunks of Skyrim.
Hell, let's throw in a pinch of Lord of the Rings while we're at it.
Bah.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mLhUoK0z0A Neither... too passive for me i like the one we have now its very dark and action packed...
This feels too laid back.
This is so much better its grand dark and full on...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mLhUoK0z0A
This is the main theme ? Very dissapointed.
Doesn't have a character like Morrowind or Skyrim did.

Let's see.
We expected crystal towers - we got granite/marble boring architecture.
Many expected corals that would be colorful and nice and got sponge gray graveyard.
Almost all expected huge zone that will be less unexplorable due to huge mountains - we got auridonish size zone when you remove enormous mountains that made Vvardenfell look like a continent, when it comes down to area size.
Why would music be any different? You expected original score, and you ended disappointed once again.

"We"? Who are "we"? You and the small crying choir here on the forums?
I'm plenty satisfied with both the audio and the visuals of Summerset, please don't assume to speak on my behalf.

I must also say, I'm very excited for Summerset and the loremaster has me on his side after his explainations. They also said in the stream, that the insect wings are there, they are under the city, so we may see them in the outlaws refuge.
I never liked ESO's music, they have somewhat the same style and it's a style that doesn't really appeal to me. What the sound team lacks, is a feeling for the right melody that makes you get goosebumps. ESO music does not have this feeling, it has no harmonic melodies and is afraid to go bombastic and celestial, it always stays in a grey area between good and annoying.
Take the music from the first Summerset gameplay trailer, THAT was the stuff. But of course, we won't get something like that in game.

I think the DLC music from Orsinium, Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild is excellent, and very distinct as well. The overall soundtrack of ESO is alright, nowhere near bad, but also a bit generic at times, but particularly those 3 DLC stand out to me as very well done.
I'll agree that Morrowind and to some extent Summerset (though I've only hear a very few pieces from Summerset until now) seems a bit too generic TES, it's still nowhere near bad, it just doesn't stand out that much.
Oh, and also CWC I found extremely well done, and very distinct and unique.
In general, all the ESO music is very well done, though of course some DLC pieces stand out more than others. We still haven't gotten any music in ESO that I would consider bad in any way, but I will agree that sometimes the music tries too much to emulate the old Morrowind/Skyrim Jeremy Soule feel, such as was the case with the Morrowind Chapter. I prefer it when Brad Derrick goes his own ways, such as what he did with IC, Wrothgar, Gold Coast, Hew's Bane and Clockwork.

Wasn't the Morrowind music just an "upgraded" version of the original?ShadowMonarch wrote: »...such as was the case with the Morrowind Chapter.

Considering that no-one actually had anything to base Crystal Tower on, other than the ancient Arena game, whatever "expectations" you had for the visuals are just created out of thin air, and most likely represent nothing but your own personal projections. If you listened to the last ESO live they actually went into detail about this.
But sure, calling someone a liar simply because they disagree with your personal biases is a very constructive and fruitful way of discussing ... You don't need to give a skeever's arse about anything, just like I don't give another skeever's arse about your personal grievances (=crying and moaning) about Summerset.
Just don't repeat the argumentative fallacy of typing "we", when you actually mean "you".
