You do need to cite a source for that $200 million production budget.
We don't know the actual number, but comments from ZOS indicate it was not that high.
“If we really did waste 200 million dollars to make this game, then we would have been fired already for incompetence,” said Firor,
Thats why I didnt even bother to respond to that comment. ZOS isnt warner brothers. They dont have 100s of millions to spend on a MMO.

So you think the entire 300 mil was spent on developing ESO only? Not like on offices, servers and all the other things you need? People's salaries like the janitor and receptionist etc. None of that huh. The 300 mil was spent every nickle just n developing ESO alone.

I wonder how their performance will suffer when they put counter measures into effect.
ESO was awesome performance wise ......a long time ago.
Then the gullibility and naivety in their code came back to bite them in the arse.
If you had done any research you would know that CU's game engine is being built with anticheating measures built in. One of the early tech demos they released showed it in action. I don't anticipate CU will have anywhere near the problem ESO has.
Not so, CU handles friendly & enemy collision on client side, as well as projectiles.Rune_Relic wrote: »Rune_Relic wrote: »It would be interesting to see how CU copes when players started overwriting the game code with their own.

So its a client server model the same as ESO.
An authoritive system with all calcs done on the server.
Meaning everyone's performances is 100% at the mercy of the main servers performance, database and network.

Can you please name any other project that ZOS is involved in?

Again the point flies right over your head. First off we have no proof whatsoever that entire 300 mil is spent. Second like I said new offices require a lot of money to get going. Now that those offices are there they wont need to be built again. Thirdly how do you know ZOS isnt working on anything else. Maybe they just havent announced it yet. Fallout MMO comes to mind.

If anyone ever purchases another mmo spearheaded by ZOS they need a mental evaluation.

That's the thing though eh? A few years ago I said "Id LOVE an elder scrolls mmo" ... I'd still say that, but with the caveat of "I'd LOVE an elder scrolls mmo managed by anyone other than ZOS".

According to their website, "ZOS continues to work on ESO DLC, continuing support and maintenance, as well as unannounced projects."
That pretty much tells me that they are working on something, although I can only guess what. I think that Fallout would make a horrible MMO, but that is just me. Hopefully, they are working on ESO related stuff. They are a long way from being done with ESO and I would hate to see them divided at a time when they really need to be concentrating on making ESO right.
While I would not say that anyone who purchases another MMO from ZOS should have their head examined, I would seriously question whether ZOS was making good decisions if they brought out another MMO before they got the first one right.
Lol I can tell you never taken a proper class in trolling. No memes rofl. Judging from how you show up in every single thread critical of ZOS all day every day, I'm inclined to believe that you have never written a piece of code yourself.jamesharv2005ub17_ESO wrote: »
