This worries me a bit as whilst Gina has said it's not an escalating system one where the number of times you log in building up before an "end" is still that extra pressure for everyone to log in every single day.Transairion wrote: »It seems the basic idea behind ESO's Daily Reward is to follow the Elder Scrolls Legends system:
For context there's one reward for every day of the (current) month, but since it's cumulative to get the last reward you have to claim every other previous reward first. That is, log on 30 days in a row to get the 31st reward (which is usually the best).
But ESL and ESO are very different games: every daily reward in ESL is useful in some manner (free cards of X rarity, gold is for buying random card packs, gems for crafting specific cards) while in ESO... I struggle to think of daily rewards that could be useful to everyone you know?
Gold is always useful, sure, but getting 5 gold (for example) when you can kill 5 bandits and get 30 gold isn't worth anything. Nor do you really want to print free money and give out 500,000 gold at the end of the month either.
I doubt Crowns, or Crown Gems are going to be on the daily table as nice as that'd be.
Most/all consumables offered in the Crown Store are inferior to crafted versions as well (sorry to say I've never touched the level-up reward consumables, despite being freebies), though Bound to Account XP scrolls are nice.
I understand what you're trying to go with Daily Log In rewards to keep people coming back each day... but I really can't fathom how you convert the ESL version over to ESO and have it feel... worth doing. Free is free, but I'll resent Daily Rewards if it only fills my inventory with clutter I'll never use and can't give away because Bind on Pickup.
I'll be happy to give away mountains of Crown Consumbles if it means I don't have to DESTROY every stack!
No ofc you shouldnt get every day something amazing, but 10 gold and absolutley nothing makes literally no diffrence at all. Gold itself is not that good of a reward, doesnt matter how much. Materials, Recepies etc., anything really, would be much nicer, but gold, Instant-Research Scrolls and Riding-Lessons are not worth anything for a fully leveled player. I dont see forward to having to delete all those scrolls before they clutter my inventory. Only the crown crates after some time are an item thats maybe even too good. For every other reward atm i would rather get nothing tbh.
And for the "insulting people blah", this is one of thousands of instances where the devs show just how little they care and/or understand about their game. You really dont get the feeling they ever played the game even for an hour every time you read some patch or change like this.

Grow up already. They're adding a new system to help engage players. It's worked in plenty of other games, including non-F2P titles like BDO.
ZoS could announce tomorrow they're doing everything player's have ever wanted and you people would still act like petulant children because it didn't happen sooner.
This is why I avoid the forums like a bubonic plague.
It's not that really. I will benefit from this system a lot. I still think it's cheesy (F2P mobile style engagements in a AAA MMO) and also a little minipulative if you need to log in X number of days per period to get the best rewards.SainguinKrist wrote: »I swear to Vivec... Its simple. Those who will benefit from the feature most are greatful, others are just jealous

Daily rewards, good idea in itself.
But can you make it any clearer that you dont understand and care about your own game then putting 10/50/100 gold as a daily reward? Not even a 4 year old that played this game for 10min would put 10 gold as a reward and think "Yep, this will make a diffrence, people will love this!" Even this little kid would know that 10 gold are absolutley nothing in Eso, and that absolutley noone needs those 10 gold, not even the newest player that literally just made his character.
This i not funny anymore. This is sad. If you devs are at this point of not understanding, please go study your game and its players.

I would be more forgiving if it was "log in get a RNG reward from this list"

@ZOS_GinaBruno Will the pts be updated some point before live to have a proper representation of the kind of things that we can expect to see for these on live? It would be good to have the opportunity to give feedback on what you will be offering before this system gets added to the live server.
Ok ngl this is hilarious. And I thought some of Warframe's daily rewards were lame(please...no more morphics...)
Speaking of which, limited time 25%/50%/75% crown discount daily login reward when?

How is this thread still a thing?
Gina has said the rewards are not final, just for testing
And second - its free stuff. For doing nothing you dont already do.
Sweet lord the entitlement levels on this forum are off the chart. It's literally freebies for Nadda and its not good enough. Wow. ZOS must scratch their heads when they read this stuff.
Class reps are just like our politicians. They promise mountains made of gold for us, but in the end, whenever they can they try to push their own agenda.

BDO is a much better game and the rewards are better.
