    i was just getting excited about light attacks not being completely useless anymore :(

    I honestly don't understand why they focus on light attacks anyway. Why do attacks classified as "light" somehow hit harder than attacks classified as "heavy"? This is the exact opposite of how other games are designed and how it should be.
    Risk versus reward demands that if you spend more time and/or resources on something then it should be more worth it.

    I think they made a major mistake when heavy attacks were made less dps than light attacks. The light attacks already have the benefit of being used between abilities unlike heavy attacks.
    There should be 2 builds: light attacks with quick/direct skills and heavy attacks with DoTs.
    It was also a mistake to nerf recovery if they really wanted light attacks to be used because they recover no resources to be able to use anything else. It would be better if light attacks recovered some resources but less than a heavy attack in the same duration so that we truly could choose what we want from either a DoT+heavy build or Direct+light build.

    Daedric Trickery: Fixed an issue where weapon swapping into this Item Set would reset its timer on obtaining a Major buff.

    Does that mean u can one bar that set now?

    I like the changes to the trial sets.

    Hoping next patch there will be race adjustments as well as class adjustments. With LA/HA damage scaling off max stam, Redguard will be even more top dog for stam races than it was. The other stam races need adjustment. If they won't have as good sustain as Redguard, then they will need something else to make up for it, like higher crit/weapon damage. Khajiit has some useless passives, like the health recovery one. Khajiit should pull higher numbers to make up for worse sustain. Also Nord has been bottom tier since...forever? Needs a rework.

    Umm, that's every armor type now that can be that way. Every armor now has jewelry and a 2-hand weapon that means you won't need actual "armor" to complete the set bonuses.

    It's actually quite ridiculous that a specific type of armor gives unique set bonuses or that a specific set only drops in one type of armor. It used to be that they started switching that with Thieve's Guild where Bahraha's Curse regularly dropped in any armor type but now only does so through the quest rewards.
    They should just leave the uniqueness between armor types to the armor skill line and have every set drop in every armor type just like we can craft sets in any armor type. Play as we want.

    What I meant was that there were many heavy armor damage sets that didn't have complete (or in some cases, any) robust/arcane jewelry option. Jewelry transmutation and the 2h changes are high impact changes, and it seems like they're being made without any concern for what can be done with some heavy armor or crafted sets under the new system.

    Exactly as it should be and is intended.
    The second ANY class is chosen "over another class" is the second that class chosen needs a nerf to bring it back to balanced.

    Did nobody ever play on a teeter-totter as a kid or ever hear of the construction tool called "a level"? "Balance" is all about getting all involved sides equal and level, meaning no clear choice which one to go towards/change.

    It's ridiculous anybody asking for "a reason to choose my class over another" when that would mean everybody else is out of luck.
    You want "unbalanced" like that? Go play a single player game.

    Ok, first thing, YOU need to be in combat to make it proc (if you put it on somebody, at least not in your group, who is fighting and you didn't do damage, it will not proc) ; and it procs where you place the healing, if you use Healing Springs far it will put the circle here, which has around the same size as Rune Focus from Templar.
    Like Mending unfortunately it seems to proc only on the first tick of each skill it works with, meaning It proc-ed only once with Extended Ritual.
    On my Templar it worked with Extended Ritual and Healing Springs but not Combat Prayer, neither The Templar Healing Ultimate.
    The duration of Major Courage with Olorime wasn't increased by Jorvuld's Guidance, unlike SPC's Major Courage.

    That last part about the Guidance buff sounds like a bug, as does the in combat/damage aspect of it.. But at least it is a guaranteed proc every 10 seconds and the cooldown lasts as long as the proc. The buff last 30 seconds, which is pretty significant, and will actually make the cooldown of the proc irrelevant.

    I don't think combat prayer counts as a ground based ability. The animation looks like it is but it doesn't stick to/target a location directly, like the others do. Healing Springs should be good enough to keep this up 100% of the time.

    Disappointed in the changes to light attacks and to Mantle of Siroria's 5 pc bonus, really like the rest of the notes tho.

      I'm confused. Decrease from what? The previous PTS, not Live, correct? What is their damage compared to Live?

      Also - why exactly does 2H light attack damage get nerfed (when all other weapons were buffed) with the whole philosophy of "light attacks are meant for damage"? It's inconsistent and I think inconsistencies warrant an explanation.

        • 5: Ground based effect abilities cast apply a circle of might on the ground for 10 seconds. Standing inside the circle grants you and your allies Major Courage, which increases your Weapon and Spell Damage by 258 for 30 seconds. 10 seconds cooldown.

      I do applaud the effort into changing these unappealing sets and I generally finding the 5 piece bonuses looking interesting at first glance. But...

      I don't like the minor trials buffs. I don't. Go ahead and throw rotten fruit at me, but I'm sorry, as a healer I do not have any need for 5% minor aegis (besides it's NOT 5%, it subject to diminishing returns) and would much rather have a traditional bonus. I also don't like these bonuses because they two minor aegis bonuses don't stack. Tanks, do you need or want that minor aegis bonus? I as hoping to use the DPS one in PVP but, nope, can't do that anymore.

The longer ZOS waits to put these in the PTS, the less time we have to test them, the less feedback goes into the process, the more likely bugs won't be caught, etc. There is zero advantage to waiting until the 4th week [!] of the test cycle (assuming we ever get them).

      The SPC tooltip in-game on PTS has not changed and does not even mention Major Courage. Also, the updated trial sets tooltips have not been changed at all and/or have the wrong description on the patch notes. @ZOS_GinaBruno

      It was a bit high in the previous build.

      EDIT: This is an adjustment down from where it's been on the PTS builds. Not in comparison to live.

      Guys, don't forget as stated in the very first paragraph, you'll begin seeing some balance adjustments next week at the earliest. This patch is mainly bug fixes.

      I just think it's unfair that to be the best dps in game for this patch you have to play magicka nightblade. No other class is comparable. They have the damage, sustain, and group utility with Major Slayer. The only reason mag sorcs would be used is for the Liquid Lightning synergy and magplars are only useful for rezzplars. Magdk isn't viable, and stam is dead. Keep in mind I'm referring to end game content. nerf nightblades or buff everyone else. Nerfing LA's only made everyone worse, not just magblades.

      Feedback received on the new Outfit Style, the Skyforge Smith Hammer (obtainable by completing the Grand Master Crafter achievement), sparked some inspiration in us. We've added a lightning effect to this hammer's visuals.

      Just give Sunder and Nmg a minor and Major pen buff. And start thinking about a minor/major system for snares, I think the community will be reeeeally happy about this before Major and Minor Courage.

      I found very peculiar to have "light attacks" being instant, can be used while moving BUT doing more damage than heavy attacks. Despite the latter greatly slow you down.
