Hey Everyone,

I am going to write some thoughts and requests out and hopefully you can look beyond your past prejudices against me and hear what im saying. I watched the following clip from Krotha's stream (and its the first time ive actually ever watched this guy's stream):

And my initial thoughts are: a little disappointment. First off, a true leader acknowledges the contributions of all players on their faction and encourages and appreciates everyone's personal play preferences. Thats what would inspire me. It's something that I havent always believed but learned over time and maturity.

And my second thoughts are: I can see why he's painted a target on his back in regards to the other faction's opinions about him.

With that being said, Im going to detail what I witnessed on Shor last night around 10pm EST:

I saw two groups of AD hitting Rayles and Glademist while EP's final Emperor keep laid untouched. Meanwhile, an AD group was pushing Nikel/Ash and by 10:30PM, EP had regained BRK in addition to Chalman to further secure their hold on Emperor.

The AD group at Rayles numbered in the 12+ range, no guild tags. The group at Glademist was actually a small man of 4 or so, and a 10+ man of <Shogunate> tags. The AD group at Nikel/Ash was <Tertiary Meat> running anywhere from 7-10.

Prior to 10-10:30PM EST, it took just about all we had to get <Guild of Shadows> and <Deathshead Legion> away from Rayles and Aleswell and finally pinning them at Chalman. That didnt last long as EP was able to thwart the dethrone and push out to Bleakers.

I only mentioned the EP groups to emphasize that DC had been fighting around their gate keep territories most of the evening and into the night.

Anyways, I spoke with one of the AD members and they stated that they were doing everything they could to prevent Krotha from Emping again on Shor because him as emp was a bad thing. After the clip i posted above, I tend to agree with that sentiment.

Now i understand that this individual does not speak for the entirety of AD or EP's actions last night, but from what Ive witnessed in other pvp discord communities, I'm leaning towards those sentiments truthfully representing at least a few groups in both opposing factions.

So this is what I want to talk about. Two factions, pushing DC, to prevent an individual from emping sounds really familiar. Like, Sotha Sil familiar, and it's a little scary.

And groups like <Tertiary Meat> kinda get a pass here because they werent pushing emperor, and I highly doubt they were a part of the campaign politics. They were just there to farm AP away from Vivec.

So back to my fears. . . . I know Shor isnt what myself and the original Shor AD and EP groups strove to create/maintain. It's evolved and changed and it is what it is now. I call it "Shor 2018™". But guys we're on a slippery slope here. There arent that many campaigns left. If groups migrate off of Shor, and it effectively dies, that would be a crying shame. There are some large scale implications here and all im asking is that they are considered.

Even so, I understand that the DC top contender is. . less than inspiring. And I understand people react to that kind of personality in a way that it going to be less than hospitable. All I want, is that when this is all said and done, when the streamer celebs leave (because they most certainly will), that I have ya'll's word, to do what you can to "balance the ph" of the campaign and lay off these trikeeps. keep your destro ult meta, your teabagging, your salt whatever you want, but please do not farm the gate keeps (unless of course youre going for a scroll, but even then, just leave the doors unrepaired). It's going to create immensely negative side effects on the campaign and leave an even greater bad taste in people's mouths.

This isnt a "Rickter against X" thing. This is a very humble request, FOR Shor and its community.

The emperor mechanic is silly and really stands in the way of getting good fights. Still not quite as silly as the "faction stack to overcome opponents during the massive lag spikes we create" mechanic that Vivec features currently.

ZOS just needs to transform Shor into a 2 week faction locked campaign with no guest feature lol. That should get rid of a lot of the vivec spillover and faction hoppers.

...I didn't actually realize Gab was referring to anything specific...i've been in skim mode for the past 15 pages or so. I'm slandering everyone equally, no specific patronizing intended.

I know a lot of DC take the position of AD is gonna hit our tri keeps anyway. I usually try and call it out in zone if I see DC pushing tri keeps but I don’t think it usually has much effect. We can only try.

Meh, I actually agree with Krotha on this, probably not presented in the best way though. This is your faction's problem though, not ours so put your Sheriff hat on and get to work.

Although my emperorship was short lived, it's safe to say DC's worst nightmare is me re-emping on my warden and holding it til primetime. AD on Shor are lacking strong emperors assuming the faction manages to pull that off seeing as we have the least numbers all around. See you next week.
