Hello Zenimax,
Why do you not address the issue of botting? Over the past few months I have submitted over 100 tickets of cheaters botting their way around Tamriel only to return a month later and see the same characters and accounts still botting. You always brag bout how many new players you have and all the money you are making yet you do nothing about the cheating. Reporting the bots also takes up a lot of time. Thanks to players like Drummerx04 and his addon Bot Scanner 2000 esoui.com/downloads/info1818-BotScanner2000.html, it makes reporting easier but still time consuming. The mere fact that someone had to create a bot scanning addon shows how bad the problem is and in which you still continue to ignore. So many players dedicate their time and money to ZOS only to have the game's economy ruined by these cheaters. Please get your act together and address the issue of botting. Streamline the reporting function and stop ignoring the multitude of tickets submitted by players. Why pay a premium for a game that's not properly moderated by Game Masters.

✭I ask this in about half these threads and never get an answer. How exactly are they killing the economy? Doesn’t dreugh wax still cost too much? It takes 56 for a full 7 piece set. I farm mats and have full bank space, full inventory on more than one character, many houses, gold gear and the money keeps coming.

Because they gain an unfair advantage in the game, push newbies out of grind spots, wreck the in-game economy, and reward cheating.

✭✭✭✭✭This issue could be mostly resolved if ZoS integrated Hardware ID bans but then they would not make more money on new accounts and be able to tell the world there are 10 million accounts ... Until publishers stop profiting from cheaters and perma remove their ability to reconnect with the game , it will never end bots .3 -

Sometimes I find a group of bots and spend an hour preventing them from killing or looting enemies
And very rarely, I'll find a small group of bots in a place where I can drag adds onto them to kill them. That's pretty fun.

Use bots much?
They shouldn't be there, and they can interfere with gameplay under certain circumstances.
They are also a sign people are making money off the game by selling gold to lazy (gimme gold now) people.

Wonderdog1Soul Shrivenjust started playing again recently and have been reporting bots everytime is encounter them. theres been a train running for 4 days in rivenspire, SW corner.
all the reports just get marked solved, and nothing has been done. cant understand why they seem to be ignoring bots in this game, when other mmos do try to remove them as best as possible. encourages gold selling etc and anyone saying they do no harm, i assume is /has, used such a thing in the past themselves.

asked about the bot problem in a guild and was trolled and generally given abuse. its a bad sign when ,by the looks of it, a large portion of the games playerbase accepts bots as something normal.1 -

If it's anything like the spam on Bethesda.net the moderators over there (Or PseronWyrd at least) is often heard saying that killing them just pops more up. And if you're cruising those forums you can see them doing this for hours. Unless they're paying someone to babysit these areas all day (which I doubt given the distinct lack of magical GMs) I wouldn't doubt they're taking down some of these guys and that they're just popping back up like daisies.
Of course that's just a bit of optimistic assumption and isn't really an excuse or solution. non of you ever played a Battleground in WoW huh ? espeially at night ? HUNDREDS of bots... sometimes outright 40vs 40 matches where 35 of thema re bots and auto following you LOOOL not joking..
and thats a Multimillion company... you cant win againts bots... you can remove them next day they are back... you can stop them for a few weeks max with a BIG ban sweep and game patches changes... but they come back in droves...
seriously with how many mmos i played and how many crazy bottings i saw... Eso stands in a prety good place when it comes to bots to be honest..

you do not get told about account actions ZOS take against someone elses account. Its none of your business. What you saw is what you should see. unless you want a default 'thanks, we'll look into it', then no doubt people would just whine they got an auto response.0 -

There have been bot trains that pass by both Percolating Mire and Hissmir wayshrines on PC NA. I have not seen the one at Hissmir lately, but the Percolating Mire one is still running all these months later. On a positive note, the King of Shadowfen seems to be dead or retired. That was the name I gave the bot I saw there the most over the last 5 months.I said hello to the bots, but they didn't say hello back. :'(
It would probably be a simple task to have them throw a "hi" back at you, too. The wretches.

To answer your question, I once went to farm for mudcrab trophy, I come to spot thats filled with mudcrabs to get it done and what I dont see. A train of bots farming mudcrabs. So are you sure this doesnt bother anyone?

Armatesz✭✭✭✭✭Bots collect the hides, have a crafter among them that scraps them for wax, marks down the value of said item. Takes money and buys other high expensive items and resells those for lower than the value they buy them for so they can drive down the market value. It is an actual real thing. There are also plenty of those bot farmers that are actually being held by those scammers for buying gold. Buyer beware as they say.
There are other forms of this stuff as well outside of this but this is from what I can verify as true.
Another part of the market never being stable as they say I guess. Kind of like counterfeit money but with less ways to defend against.
