Server Lag is UNPLAYABLE

Tonight the servers' performance is outright unplayable. Anyone else having extreme issues with the lag tonight?

    It is probably a solid idea to mentioned which server you are speaking of. We have 6 of them.

    Until a about a week ago I used to average between 380-400 on wifi, now I'm averaging 400 - 410 with the occasional 999 spike on cable.

    man just got into vivec and empty field….lag pause…..dead…..surrounded by red shields ……
    disconnected.
    Ummm stuff… about stuff…or something.

    Lag comes and goes for different people at different times, who knows why or whether it’s isp, some node, zos fault etc. seems unlikely this game will ever be stable for whatever reason.

    I assume from his signature that the OP is talking about the PC NA server, although it isn't clear and people do play on more than one server. A lot of forum users also disable signatures as nobody is really interested in filling up the screen with other people's endless character lists, so it really does help if the server is specified when problems are mentioned.

    PC NA was playable from my laptop -wifi, only 3 months ago. good enough to do all content in the game. now its completely unplayable- consistently. even at best of times its bad. bought a pc desktop - ethernet, etc- and that is too never ever off of red bars 400+ , where a year ago it was never off of 2 bars- 200-300. in short- server service has declined noticibly and rapidly- yet al this goes ignored. its like seeing a person cheat or steal- and yet they deny it over and over.
    and thats a fact i wish zenimax would at least have the decency to acknowledge and respond to. its insulting and inescusable for those of us who pay them 15 a month- thru thick and thin supporting these guys. im ending it end of of this cycle.

    PC/NA was completely fine for me - until the maintanence 2 weeks ago.

    Now, whilst my baseline ping is normal, I get constant lag spikes every 20 seconds or so, during which ping shoots up into the 500-900 range for a second or two, making the game extremely unresponsive during these windows.

    PC/NA for the past week I have noticed long logins which fail out then have to long in again. If I switch characters in the same zone login is pretty fast, but another zone then it's a failed login.

    You earned an insightful.

    Last night it was very frustrating being in PVP gameplay, and to have lag spikes every now and then cause for commands to be completely unresponsive and resulted in a lot of failed plays. Switched campaign (which is a different server), and the issue still persisted. Probably not noticeable enough for most people since the command delay affects gameplay only when you're trying to execute multiple commands a second. Trying to switch weapon bar, and cast an ability, only to have it not happen - then other times the commands would be saved up, and happen several seconds after you intended... makes any top level play impossible.

    I'll be sure next time to add the digital geological location, satellite astrological time, the amount of current traffic, all video and audio settings, the physical settings of each character on screen and how blades of grass are around me too.

    I cant even get it to load my character at the moment. "An error has occurred please try again in a few minutes". Why do I keep giving you *** my money.

    Hey, a lot of players from South America (Europe too I think) have the same problem. After talking with support, they told me they can't do anything about it and that I should post in the forums to let the devs know. :|
