Zeerok: Main account. Based on a nickname I have been using for almost 20 years.
Gontrand de Bourbon: I wanted a French-themed aristocratic name. Gontrand is a very ugly first name in French and "de Bourbon" is based on the Bourbon dynasty from French monarchy.
Augustus Aquilarios: I basically merged Augustus Ceasar and Varen Aquilarios. I consider him a distant cousin from Varen.
Zeerokk: Same as first but with an extra "k"
Lianna Storm: Inspired from Lyanna Stark from Game of Thrones.
Fights-With-Khajiit: I wanted Dances-With-Khajiit. It was taken. I went with Fights-With-Khajiit.
Miner'va: Basically my cat's name but with an apostrophe to make it more Khajiit. The name itself comes from the Roman goddess of wisdom and strategic warfare.
Siggy Thorvaldsson: First name is from the Siggy character in Vikings, widow of Earl Haraldson. Thorvaldsson is just the contraction of the name Thorvald (that I liked) and sson (child of).
Zeerok (the sneaky ruffian) - LV50 Bosmer stamblade DPS (AD) Gontrand de Bourbon (the greedy aristocrat) - LV50 Breton magsorc tank (DC) Augustus Aquilarios (the imperial claimant) - LV50 Imperial stamDK PvP (EP) Zeerokk (the AD zealot) - LV50 Altmer magblade PvP (AD) Lianna Storm (the inferno maiden) - LV50 Dunmer magDK DPS (EP) Fights-With-Khajiit (the gullible faithful) - LV5 Argonian templar (EP) Miner'va (the skooma addict) - LV3 Khajiit sorcerer (AD) - chaotic neutral Siggy Thorvaldsson (the charismatic baroness) - LV50 Nord stamwarden tank (DC)
Aesteron. That was my very first D&D character back in the '80s, and every game where I've been given the option to name my characters the first has always been Aesteron.
All of my characters are named after Game of Thrones characters, but they aren't actually in the show or in the books but characters in the history mainly from The World of Ice and Fire fake history.
Princess Rhaenyra High Elf. She was a badass who started a civil war called the Dance with Dragons.
Shaena Rivers Breton. I just liked this name and don't remember the history behind it.
Daenys the DreamerHigh Elf. She had prophetic dreams, and was known as the most beautiful woman in all of westeros that has ever lived.
Rothilgar(Nord Nightblade) the rejected Nord guy who became my alchemist and provisioner. He was a disgrace.Heavy armour, battleaxe and yet he mainly used magicka abilities...
Sir Othil Grummore(Imperial Dragonknight) the big Imperial guy, my main for a long time! A tank who remained a tank throughout the Stonefalls, Deshaan, Eastmarch and Coldharbour questlines. All as a tank. Took a while! His name was inspired from a book I read at the time, think it might have been The Sword in the Stone; there was some knight called Grummore I'm sure!
The Mighty Bamboozler(Redguard Dragonknight), only the best bamboozler in the land! And a stamina damage dealer in his free time.
King of the Fools(Breton Templar), still at some low level. I'll level him up someday! Donned, of course, in the Crown of Misrule and Nordic Bather's Towel.
Veyre Gude(Dunmer Dragonknight) Her name is pronounced 'Very Good'... hehe. Alas, she is not very good at dealing damage thus far; I'm not great at rotations and all that jazz.
Runs-Away-Screaming(Argonian Warden) His name is ironic because, as a tank, he does the complete opposite!
Ruins-Your-Immersion(Argonian Nightblade) Still a fresh character, but I thought I'd secure the name while I could
A Cold One(Argonian Warden) A Magicka damage warden, based off the meme 'cracking open a cold one with the boys' and also due to the warden's frost abilities!
'One fine day in the middle of the night, two dead kings got up to fight! Back to back, they faced eachother, drew their bows... and stabbed themselves!' -Cadwell
Morbash gro-Smash (Orc Stam DK) - He likes to smash things while shouting MORBASH SMASH!
Taurmon Spellbinder (Altmer Mag Sorc) - Just a lore friendly name I liked.
Vormon Greywatch (Altmer Magplar) - Same reason as mag sorc.
Morbash gro-Rush (Orc Stam Sorc) - Also likes to smash things, just more quickly.
Morbash gro-Slash (Bosmer Stamblade) - At this point, I got lazy and just stuck with the Morbash theme for my Stam toons. Plus I love orc names.
Morbash gro-Ghash (Redguard Stamplar) - Same reason as my stamblade above.
Taurmon Greythar (Altmer Magblade) - Just a lore friendly variant of my mag sorc's name. I like it.
Zerg Bait Hoo Haha (Bosmer Stamblade) - My EP PvP toon. I play solo a lot in Cyro. Wanted a name that would give my opponents a good laugh, so I came up with this. It's a reference to Finding Nemo and seems appropriate for a tiny wood elf.
Gank Bait Hoo Haha (Redguard Stam Warden) - Same reasoning as above.
I'll add the rest of my character's names to this post once ESO finishes downloading. Can't remember them all off the top of my head.
Delora Xiaphia (Bosmer) - Xiaphia is a surname I use in many games, especially for female characters. Delora was created as part of playing around with different syllables. I can excuse her not so lore friendly surname because she's also a trickster and a master of disguise (add-ons are amazing for that) and she can trick others thinking that she's not quite a mortal. An exotic surname can help with that too.
Ugrim gro-Khar (Orc) - I wanted a stereotypical stupid orc with anger issues. I find this name suitable.
Bellatrix Lealiena (Dunmer) - because Bellatrix Lestrange is a *** and I love her. Good name for a psychopath vampire that once filled the Vulkhel Guard's beach with tons of dead bodies using a restoration staff. Over 120k was the bounty for that.
Fjorik Firebeard (Nord) - a ginger Nord with a big beard.
Ophelia Adel Maris (Breton) - I needed a pretentious name for a hobo that sees herself as a noble and act snobbish around people. I use her as bank character and never equipped a weapon on her. In reality I found Breton women to be the prettiest and I needed an excuse to create one.
Drinks-In-Silence (Argonian) - once I though myself: "Hey, how cool will be if there is an alcoholic, but very chill Argonian?" This is how he was born
Floriancen Larethian (Altmer) - Floor Jansen during the performance at Waken Open Air 2013 looked like a High Elf. Too bad I couldn't made my character dark haired to resemble her more.
All mine are from my EQ characters that went to SWG, EQ2,48 hours in WoW, Swtor.
Purra my first warrior from 1997. NB
Calliss Azoul from my Iskar Monk. Temp
Rizcarn Va'shir BeastLord. DK
Udeka Druid. Sorc
Purra Darkmoon Full name of first warrior. Also NB
Purra Azoul think was enchanter now Warden
Pur'ra was third Sith Inquisitor on swtor. also NB
Here is my list of toons and why i named them the way i did:
Horowonnoe - First toon - Stamina DK, so i named it after my account name. It's a character i made up when i was 3 so i named my ESO account and the fist character after her.
Nephaleth Telvanni - Because i wanted at least one character that had a lore friendly name. So i went to eso name generator, selected her race/gender and this name came up. Creative, i know. She is also a magicka nightblade and i have no idea how to play them, yet.
Sings to Moon - I really liked the Rawlkha moon sisters quest when i first completed it. So i named my 3rd toon - a khajiiti stamina nightblade something that would remind me of it.
Potema the Wolf Queen - My 4th toon - which shortly after i made her, became my main and has been for many patches. Magicka sorc through thick and thin. Sometimes random people in zone come up to me and start roleplaying servants and bowing to me.
False Eye - Because i was stealing and found a False Eye. I laundered it. Made some jokes in zone about False Eye Tavern and how there is a master chest with kutas in it. Trolled some zone people. Then to make it all permanent, i logged off and made this templar healer - False Eye. She was initially a khajiit, but because trials people were giving me *** about it, i race changed to a breton to be BiS.
Almalexia of Tribunal - I wanted another lore friendly name, kinda like Potema. Unfortunately many variations of Almalexia were taken. So i had to do this version. There was no room in the name to put "the" in there so there. Magicka DK. Sad times for that one. Delegated to being a bagspace toon.
Says Nothing - My first male toon! And a stamina sorc. I haven't finished leveling him. He says nothing. I named him after the Dark Brotherhood dailies NPC "Remains Silent". Says Nothing is close enough, no? Only toon that is not yet lvl50.
Sviestmaize - My second male toon. He is basically a sandwich, since he is a magicka templar and also basically a bagspace toon this patch. Too bad. Once upon a time he ran trials and parsed pretty well too. Rip.
Heavy Attacks Online - My one and only warden character and PVP healer. Named after Morrowind patch and my dislike of the new, slower paced combat that followed.
Nico's Facsimile - A Dragonknight tank and my 3rd male toon. I named it after my friend and his toon Dro-m'athra Facsimile. Also in hopes that perhaps his tanking talent will rub off on me. I made sure the toon was approved by my friend and similar looking to his tank. Apparently he needed more muscles. Oh well.

First, if I had been allowed, I would have made all my chars the same name, one that I've traditionally used in gaming. The thing is that I'm only able to use 1 character at a time, so I don't know why it's not permitted, but that's that way it is. So my gaming name of choice has always been Jacoby Duncan.
Jacoby is for a personal reason, and because it just sounds medieval to me. Duncan was my grandmother's maiden name, and the two just seemed to flow together. I came up with it for my very first pen & paper D&D session, and it just stuck for me. In this game, since my chars need to be all unique, I've numbered them all.
Because I didn't seem to be able to use numerals in the names, I ended up spelling the numbers out. That made the names rather long and cumbersome in some dialogs & menus & certain parts of the UI, so I ended up using the initials J and D, and ended up with the names J D One through J D Fourteen. Goofy I know, but hey it has meaning to me...
I've secretly been waiting for this threat! Thanks OP.
My Khajiit is called "Meow Tse-tung" as a pun on Mao Zedong.
My Imperial thief is called "Klaudia Manten" which is German when written as "klau Diamanten" and means "steal diamonds".
"Malacathrine" is my female orc.
"Princess Talara" got her name from the book in TES.
My Dunmer sorc is called Milore, which is the name of the alchemist in Ravenrock in Skyrim while Telvanni is a fitting last name for a Dunmer sorc. When I later created her twin sister, I did some research and learned that said Milore has a sister mentioned in a letter. That's why her name is Nilara. (Fun fact, in ESO was no Dunmer NPC called Milore until the dark brotherhood. Nilara remains open to NPCs to this day.)
This Bosmer was tortured to death. There is nothing left to be done.
Giving out one's character names to strangers on the Internet. Nothing bad could possibly come of this.
I will say this, on topic. All of my character names are semi-RP - that is, I'm not an RPer per se, however each name is chosen to fit the race and appearance. The "Fantasy Name Generator" site has been very useful in that regard, though what I usually do is take several of their results for a given query, combine them together, adjust a few more syllables here and there...in other words, take their results as a template and give it my own twist.
It's really for immersion's sake. I recognize that I could run around with an Orc named Big-Britches-Shags-...you get the idea, but why? For one, I am no longer ten years old, a fact I rue almost on a daily basis as I actually have to earn a living now. Secondly, if I am going to be spending my time in a fictional world filled with characters like High Kinlady Estre and so forth, I might as well fit in. I did the same for LOTRO and TOR, among others, and for similar reasons.
Princess Justine (Both Former DC and and the one whom moved to AD):
Princess Justine, would be my number one Imperial Templar. We go far back ever since the days of old from DC originally. (PS4 EU) As to why Princess Justine, Moved to AD. Please read my story's about Princess Justine.
I feel Princes Justine lives in part of me. The missing half that I don’t have. Yet I always yearned for. She in a whole is way capable and more confident and nothing to fear.
Even though the tale and of her life. May be sad at most, Princess Justine. Has many things similar as well as being adopted. Like was in real life.
Without Princess Justine's self confidence and self endeavor. There is no way I would've made any progress. Without Princess Justine.
In a way you could say Princess Justine. Is like an outlet for me to move forward. To try and make me a better person. So not only because she was my very first healer. She would be my only Champion if I had to choose as well as my Favorite Hero.
*This will get very long. I'll stop for now, but when I have time. I might slowly add more of my characters and as to why. However Princess Justine, means a lot to me.

4. 4. Don gato'o: khajiit nb, the name sound khajiit I guess
5. Mohead: monster-head mule
6. Nightblub: high elf magblade
7. Bearknight: never used warden...
8. Not enouh bank space : well... I neede more space
I just used a Elder Scrolls name generator for most of mine. Except for my Argonian and Khajiit, I had a little "freedom" there.
My Argonian works with the Dark Brotherhood, so he's named Silent-And-Deadly. Which was a play on silent but deadly, (I just didn't want to go for the humor). It's also ironic that he's a healer... so he either gives life or takes it.
My Khajiit is Ja'Mosien-Dar. Ja' means young, and Dar means thief (both in ES lore), so I have him working for the Thieves Guild. Mosien was from the same ES name generator, but is very, very close to my surname in real life so I used that.
Xbox Series X - GT: VintageVinyl450 NA Player on the EU Server (always looking for help with dungeon/job dailies)Main - Eradrann, AD, Wood Elf, Bow/Bow Stamblade, 1500+CP
Tantrika - Bosmer Stamina Nightblade Vampire, related to my study of tantric meditation practices the name is to indicate traversal of the Left Hand Path
Tantrika Shakti - Bosmer Stamina Sorcerer WW, done as a 'twin' to my Nightblade due to not being able to choose between the classes at launch -- Shakti references the divine feminine energy and felt more fitting to a character that was initially geared toward Magicka
Terby - Khajiit Magicka Templar (tank build), named after my pet cat and best friend in the world lol
Mukti - Altmer Magicka Templar WW (Fire Mage setup), term referencing spiritual freedom; heals and burns away
Kapalika - Imperial Dragonknight WW, from back when StamDK still used fire; term references practitioners who coat their bodies in ash
Bhairavi - Imperial Templar WW, name indicates one who has gone beyond practice; an adept
Sirona Stillwater - Breton Magicka Nightblade healer -- named for a Celtic goddess of healing springs
Ivalyn - Dunmer Magicka DK -- dunno, punched it in after being unable to think of a good Dunmer name
Samadhi - Breton Warden healer, used to be my Altmer Sorcerer but deleted and rerolled after coming back and seeing Warden added to game; name references a particular type of clear-headed state of meditation, feel it goes well with the Lotus healing skill Warden has
Marie-Ève - Bosmer Stamina Warden WW, part of my backstory on this character is adoption into a Breton family, so went with a name that was pretty common in Québec
Marie-Jehanne Breton Magicka DK, another Québec French name, older and less frequently used than Marie-Ève these days
Khorikola - Breton Magicka Sorcerer Khorikanna - Nord Sorcerer tank Khorikali - Nord Warden tank
randomy variations derived from my name, ran out of creativity before running out of character slots xD

Ta'asi was the name of a Khajiit character I made in Skyrim a long time ago, and I wanted to use that name in ESO.
Ta'rahbi and Ta'joeri are Ta'asi's brothers and I just decided to use the Ta' prefix for them, too.
Ysrett, Cheyren, Alleyo, Ieshia, Balumesthine, Ryjahl, Wuxitha, Llevaro, Xin-Ilas, Rhenalynwe were made up on the spot. They don't seem all that out of place for Elder Scrolls names.
10. Petunia gra-Gortwog, female orc who favors pink and purple armor with some red mixed in. Mother was an alchemist/landscaping consultant, hence the unusual name for a warrior.
I'm a huge DnD fan so all of my characters are named after Forgotten Realms deities/gods:
Uthgar Gardolfsson - (deity of Uthgardt barbarian tribes and physical strength) Nord Stamina Warden (2hand dps)
Lathander the Morninglord - (God of spring, dawn, birth, youth, vitality, athletics) Breton Templar Healer
Tymmora - (Goddess of good fortune, skill, victory, adventurers) She's my Imperial Sorcerer that I'm trying to tank with
Bane Blacklord - (deity of hatred, fear, and tyranny) Wood Elf Nightblade (mainly use a bow though)
Valsharoon - The Lichlord - (demigod of necromancy, necromancers, evil liches, lichdom, and undeath) Breton Magicka Nightblade
Tiamat the Avaricious - (Goddess of evil dragons, evil reptiles, greed) High Elf Sorcerer Magicka DPS
Magnys Anders (not a Forgotten Realms deity) Nord Dragonknight DPS (2hander)
