In regards to NPC conversations

It seems I just can't help myself. For as long as I can remember I have struggled with games that not only provide vocie acting, but also show the captions or dialogue below, and give you the option of skipping through it at the speed with which you can read it. This game has excellent VA work, and I mean that. And I want to enjoy it, but theres just this little voice deep inside my head that SCREAMS out for me to mash the dialogue button as soon as I'm done reading. This had me wondering, who else struggles with this? And what better way to answer my curiousity than another pointless poll? (Face it, it's better than a salty rant. Not saying that I would go on a salty rant. Just stating polls are the lesser of two evils)

On a somewhat unrelated note, I understand these add-ons are all the rage these days. Is there an add-on related to the quest/dialogue system? (if memory serves correct I believe I had gotten rid of Skyrim's captions and got a mod that wouldn't let me cut off npcs)

I listen to every word NPC's have to say

English is not my native language, so I like to both read and listen to pronunciation - to keep my knowledge of English at some basic level.

In other games which have voice dubbing in my native language, I listen to dialogues simply cause the company which does it has amazing voice actors

I'm going to go with OTHER.....some NPC's I listen to everything they say (I'm looking at you Melar Sadus) and others I just can't be bothered.

I have done every quest in the game. I have no clue wat any of the quest are about

I skip along as I'm reading the dialogue

I have skiped all the DLC dialogues except the Vvardenfell dialogue ,and i will read the Clock work city dialogues and same for the next DLC , I don't want to speed DLC anymore cause after i just fell like I have wasted my money just to spam E ... while the story is awesome !

I have to say, I have never heard a single line of dialogue in any of the dungeons. Always mash the buttons like crazy to keep up with the group (btw. these days every group in a dungeon is a speed run) and after the final boss it's mash-mash-mash and pray that crown doesn't disband the group before I can skip all dialogue.

Real shame. I know every single mechanic of every Boss fight but have no clue what the story behind the dungeon is

I have not done much questing in the past year, year and a half. I am talking some characters through the quests again, its nice to listen to some of the dialogs again. Others, not so much.

It depends on who is talking. I tend to listen to NPCs I've been around a fair amount (Raz, Darien, Naryu) and ignore "throwaway" NPCs.

I listen to most NPCs, I love ESO's voice actors for the most part.

There is one voice I cannot stand though. It's the one from the snotty Dunmer lady in The Serk, always moaning at me that I'm going the wrong way. Look lady, I don't owe you anything. If I want to take a small detour to grab that Columbine, your quest will have to wait. That VA annoys me so much that I tend to skipp all skippable dialogue with that character.

Then I also skip dialogue in group dungeons, otherwise I'd hold up everyone else.

I used to be like this, but now I don't have the time to waste and appreciate the game. I used to spend a long time inside dungeons and enjoy it, and feel rewarded when finished. Now if a dungeons takes longer than 15 mins and everyone is not pulling at least 20K dps I get frustrated. Like last time I queued for random, I got a tank using Ice staff and resto staff (no jokes here), when I told him "hey man is ok if you want to get aggro with the staff but we need the debuffs or this Maw of the infernal fight is gonna take a long time", he just say's "nah I'm fine, this works" and constantly runs everywhere, so yeah there's fire all over the place, the tank just suck and I can't stand it anymore, so I leave.

I'm running with a small guild, they even showed me you can do 1 tank, 3 DD runs in all dungeons, HM included. So practically we just do pledges, in like 30-45 minutes, unless someone is farming gear.

On the other hand, If you tell me you are doing quest right at start of the dungeon, I will wait all you want.
