Kyne wasn't bad as far as pop tonight. Ad had a decent sized group as well as EP.

It (edit: Shor) can definitely be dead at times. But when it's good, it's really good. I made nearly 100k AP tonight almost entirely by killing reds.

The problem with Vivec (and the main attraction) is that it's pretty easy to stay alive.

Don't know about Ales, wasn't there. It happens, though. I know EP and DC traded Chal back and forth, then we went over and defended BRK vs. AD, then DC as they tried to come in behind AD. When I logged, EP had taken back chal and Bleaks.

When you say DC was at low pop, is that based on the pop bars, or actually seeing the numbers defending vs attacking? Pop bars really mean nothing in any particular battle for a keep. If there are 35 DC defending and 20 EP attacking, doesn't matter what the bars say... Of course, you can always defend a keep with less people, too.... 1 person could hold off 10 unorganized attackers until help arrives by running multiple siege and focusing 2-3 closely grouped trebs at a time.

Anyone who says bars don't mean anything is just foolish. I use different tools to tell if an alliance is even pop, over pop, or under pop. In my previous example, there was a large group ( I would say 20+ ) that took bleakers in just a few minutes. I looked at the bars and we had 1 bar, ep/ad has 2 bars. A few minutes later EP flagged Ales. Chat comments were like, "GET TO ALES", "OMG there are so many EP here".. blah .. blah .. blah. I get to Ales and we had something like 6 defenders, and a few DC taking care of Ash mine. Lucky for us we had some stud on the inner wall with 2 cold fires pointing to the breach.

There is also other indicators. Does your alliance or the the enemy have any keeps? How fast are keeps being taken, or are keeps being defended? What does chat look like, anyone out there? There are so many indicators that let us know which alliance is under populated. You should know that by now, you have been on the underpopulated side for a long time.

Another example was yesterday, EP had 2 bars vs 1 DC, they were moving the map a little and all of a sudden nobody defended Chal. I look at the bars EP had 1 bar vs 2 bars DC. I could clearly tell just by EPs resistance and looking at the map that EP was the under populated alliance at the time.

As far as your chest thumping about defending DC, It was nothing special. Our goal was to get a keep with under population. What we decided to do was attack Chal and have me open up DC. If chal was a fail then we would have taken DC. Our strategy worked fine, it was one less Emp keep EP had, and we went back and got DC 20 minutes later.

Sorry, I don't need any noob post to teach me about PvP.

I think I do good. However, I will give you a tip: Three players that go help a defense can turn a fight around. You guys should have jump off the wall before we flagged DC and killed me and my friend then ran to chal for the defense.

I think you misunderstood my point.

1) For this example, let's assume DC has 2 bars, EP has 1 bar pop. A full EP raid is riding between Chal and Bleak and come across 5 DC players having a picnic at the gate. Will it matter to those 5 DC in that battle that they have more population in Cyrodiil? That is why I asked about actual people at the keep.

2) I know I do a lot of chest thumping here in this forum, but in this case, I was not. Actually, the point of my post was rather self deprecating because it took me like 2 hours and a full level up to figure out how far out of level my gear was. I mentioned you and the defenses simply as a backdrop to me (and the point at which I) figuring that out.

Depends on who you fight and what kind of build you use. In vet, I'm running 5 light and I can still survive pretty well in Sotha. But in Vivec vs the great players, they can burst me down so *** fast. Optimal CP + optimal gear + lot of experience makes for a huge skill gap.

I updated my gear on my hybrid werewolf templar since Sotha is so dead. The 10k noncrit heals and 10k noncrit howls feel so good. I need more wolf friends on AD.

In all fairness, I just read this page and it's pretty civil, but it would get a Sotha thread locked at this point.

At this point it seems the philosophy is "You have all been so terrible for so long you are no longer allowed to talk about your campaign, even being silly and inoffensive."
