I have a ton of crowns to waste because I load up on them every time they are on sale and there is rarely anything I ever want to buy from the crown store.

I just opened 225 crown crates and have not gotten 1 mount yet lol. Yes, that is 75,000 crowns I just spent.

In the past I have gotten most of the mounts from a lot less crates. This time it is not even close with how bad the drop rate is for me.

Hey @ZOS_GinaBruno did they lower the mount drop rate? Did they add some kind of algorithm to work against those who have a load of crowns saved up because they know we throw our money at ZOS? I know it is supposed to be bad, but this is hilarious lol

I could buy all the mounts with the amount of crown gems I have saved up, but i'm not really interested in them. I just want to see how bad the drop rate can really be. Do I keep going?

PS: For those of you who love to troll, I give you permission to freely troll because I know you just can't hold back.

    Imagine a calculation based on your previous purchases and crowns saved to formulate a number which is a % chance that you will continue to give them money.

    By the way, I'm not saying people have to like the crates. I've just seen a lot of people being bullied about them on this forum. I don't *love* the crates, myself (wish they just put it all in the crown store instead), but I'm strongly against people being bullied just because they bought crates.

    This is the funniest story I've heard so far today (not much fun at work.)

    You seem to have a great attitude about the whole thing despite your sorry winnings and you don't sound like the kind to spend your rent money on crates so I gave you an awesome.

    This was what 178 of 204 crown crates revealed for me. Of the remaining 26 crates, 6 had new items in them, 3 were repeats of what I just received and they were all lipstick and the rest were mimic stones and other potions. Ticket was submitted, 0 response. No mounts, not even in my free one.

    I really really really really really don't like the fact that I'd have to spend so much money on crates to get enough gems to buy BA motif book. It is really really really really really really lame that we can't just buy what we want.

    I know its been said one thousand million times before, but I just had to say it once for myself... and now I'm getting grumpy every time I hear that its working - and people are paying for this b.s. I thought if enough of us abstained they'd change the direction this was headed in, but I am bitterly disappointed. :( <SIGH>

    Sad, I just wish people would stop after the first 10 to 15 crates and try again another day rather than run through hundreds of crates on a bad RNG day.

    @ZOS_GinaBruno - suggestions to improve the experience overall:

    1. Consider using the True Random API for your ENG - https://www.random.org
    2. Consider offering straight up PURCHASE of specific items (seriously, there needs to be some rethinking on all of this, you've even burned ME out and you KNOW how I love me some crown store items).
    3. Consider making a regular stipend of crates OR user's choice from a limited selection of items per month (when +).

    I only bought 15, got 2 dragon armors for the legendary tier and everything else was lower tier stuff. Honestly I didn't really want any of the skele mounts this time as its not really my style so I'm kinda glad I had such poor rng this time. I do wish I woulda had a little better luck so I didnt have to spend gems on the lioness and BA Motif tho.

    I only bought 15. Everything was blue cards. 1 purple card. 1 gold card (black bear cub) then one legendary card on my 13th box. Plague husk horse the only thing I truly wanted. The rest of the items though? Tattoos tattoos lipstick lipstick tattoos tattoos. No joke.

    As much as pay-to-win makes me rage, it's almost BETTER if some of this stuff was BoE, because as it stands, only people with a lot of money (or really bad with the little money they have) can afford to obtain some of the really cool offerings in the Crown GEM store. At least if it was BoE, not everyone else would be left out in the cold, even loyal subscribers.

    I think this guy is going to be putting a lot of developers children through school. By the way, a single source for drop rate on something like this is a terrible example of the system in place. Im not really buying into the "Im spending all this money in the name of science" nonsense either. Even if the crowns were on sale.

    This screenshot was taken before I finished opening my crates. I think it was about the 20th or 25th consecutive crate with the exact same items.
