Though it's been crashing before the last 24-48 hours it's gotten more frequent for me. It seems to be specific to Vvardenfell, for me anyway. I wasn't there for even five minutes today and it crashed.

Based on the limited information originally supplied, I would suggest that you don't respond then.Platform? Server?
If PC, system specs? Addons used?
Internet connection including whether wired or wireless?
I have no problems on the PC EU server.
Whilst I am sure that these are valid issues, I can't help thinking that you're missing the point on some of the complaints overall.
Some people are bringing complaints to this forum as they have gone from a perfectly playable system one day, to complete chaos the next day. With no intentional change to their local environment, it is entirely normal (and rational) to assume that the problem is not a local one.
There have been enough posts in the past 24 hours from various people around the world, that enables a blanket conclusion that the problem does not relate to local system specs. The OP clearly states that 'prior to the last update, they never had any crashes'.
More specifically:
Broken cable
None of that alters the fact that without mentioning even the platform or server their post serves no purpose as it is meaningless being devoid of any context.
That's one approach certainly, but I think it's more helpful to one's fellow players to try and tease out a bit more information so that a constructive discussion can ensue.
Tandor you must be the only person on the planet that has never had an issue playing the game(yes been here since from the start we know), had lag in game, had unresponsive combat and the rest of the issues that come with playing this game for the rest of humanity. From those of us who understand the equipment we play on and the network we use to access the game and still have issues, please, butt out. Go buy some Crowns or something.

I'm confused though about what people are calling "crashes"...is it getting dumped to the login screen or is it a computer crash where the PC reboots?
Because a PC reboot is a crash and relates to a person's computer...while getting dumped to login screen is a server issue.

I'm on Xbox and it's happening. This is not an issue related to the person's computer.

But what is it you're all calling a "crash"?
Does your xbox shut down or whatever those things do when freaked out, or do you just get booted to login?

Two different things happen. Sometimes my screen freezes, makes a buzzing sound then I'm at the Xbox dashboard. The other is i will be playing and all of a sudden I cannot change bars or use abilities and 30 seconds or so later I am at the title screen and it says "Unable to connect to game server. Please make sure you have a valid internet connection" which I do as I am talking to my friends in an xbox party.
(I literally crashed while typing this response and waiting for dungeon queue)

Okay the first one where the screen freezes then you hear that buzzing sound is definitely a "crash" and some kind of software/hardware issue (either ZOS's coding vs your hardware or your hardware actually failing)...the second one sounds like you lost connection to the server (which isn't a "crash", it's called getting booted to login).
