Lag, overcrowded campains, extremley boring achievments. The 50 kill achievment punishes everyone not playing DPS. And server roll backs (the fact that this happens on live servers is inexcuseable).
Not to mention the normal Cyro problems that are somehow worse than ever.
I hate PvP, my faction is loosing on my server (Shor), my battleground win didn't count for the achievement, the 50 kills achievement requires KILLING BLOWS and all these boxes seem to contain is alchemy mats and soul gems.
So yeah... not thrilled.
Desperate for Roleplaying servers to bring open world non-organised RP to Elder Scrolls Online. Please ZOS.
I don't PVP. But I am happy that they have a PVP only event for those who do. I hope they fix all of the problems that they are having so far.

CROWN CRATES: It doesn't affect gameplay, it's not mandatory, it's cosmetic only. If it helps to support the game and ZOS, I support it! Say YES to crown crates.
...the first day of it yesterday was great fun. Between Battlegrounds and Sotha Sil I had a blast, even the BG PUGs were really nice. If ZOS can salvage the queues and the lag it's about as good as it can get.

While the idea is sound, I don't think the implementation is going to have the desired effect.
Part of this is to encourage those that don't normally PvP to join in. The queue, the lag, the skill difference, and the requirement for killing blows is unlikely to encourage these people to ever want to return.
Most of the AP gains are trades. Swapping resources/zones, sometimes without seeing a single individual from the other Alliances in the process.
The KB requirement encourages kill stealing even more than usual. It turns into a race to get to the next poor soul that happened along. It's even more difficult for tanks and heals.
The cheese builds are in full force. People dying to lag induced Selene's/Fear/Incap are not going to be encouraged to continue on. This is made worse with the strain on the server.
Queuing and grouping issues for BG's are their own separate problem, made worse with the added strain.
The event is too short. If you intend to try to get this on multiple characters and have any kind of IRL obligation, you're gonna have a hard time.
Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...
Earn it.
IRL'ing for a while for assorted reasons, in forum, and in game.
I am neither warm, nor fuzzy...
Probably has checkbox on Customer Service profile that say High Aggro, 99% immunity to BS
And reading all the hate posts here about it, I'm not sure I want to even try. Which is sad, because I was hoping to use it to finally get my Vigor skill.

As far as I am concerned there is no event. I don't PVP, and as there is no other part of it, other than senseless PVP... there is no event. There is nothing of interest at all.

I love PvP and I love Boon Boxes. I can't wait to place Songs of Pelinal at my home and read them. Queue is too long, but luckily I'm in Cyro right now so I'm enjoying the event pretty well.
I believe the uptick in players is due to the fact that there are skills that can only be acquired by PVP.
This is the problem. I don't think there would be that much of a problem if these skills could be acquired in another manner.
Honestly that is one of the main reasons i am out there. I want these skills and if I must, then why not go when i can get double the AP. The ones complaining are the ones that play out there a lot more because the sandbox is broken. I can understand this, but they are (mostly) the ones that argue against gaining these skills in another manner. Double edge sword and this is when you feel the other edge cut back. Stinks and I can understand that, but it isn't forever and in the end you may gain more loyal PVP players out of it.
I enjoy it when I can actually do some PvP. The rest of the time, however... Yeah can somebody please sneak into ZOS headquarters and feed those poor gerbils powering the servers?

I hardly go to Cyrodiil, why go there when there's battlegrounds.
Battlegrounds let you que in Tamriel while I farm mats, or doing something else.
The que has been fast like 2 min wait.
The players in it are all decent, flawless, former emperor, stormproof, etc.
The fights won't exceed 10min, quick and simple.
And the AP is huge.
No time waste riding around in Cyrodiil, no dying and get back into battle, no drama.
Also battlegrounds drop rewards gear everytime.
I don't see any reason for queuing campaign to Cyrodiil.
All the unicorns from pve are trying to pvp and they dont know how which means a lot of ap for me
THE CAVELRY HAS ARRIVED! Cav is a professional magblade, (in his not so professional opinion). He is immortal and is fighting for the Pact since 2E 572, amidst the turmoil of the Second Akaviri Invasion. He protects the provinces of Skyrim, Morrowind and Black Marsh.
And yes, i hate this event
...because this is not event, this is marketing for IC DLC and Morrowind DLC (oh, Chapter, yes) + lags + bugs + long queues + waiting for few hours to get access to any of your campaigns (because you cant change them for free till 24th evening (oh ZOS, this maintenance best time to do it - half of a day we will look for nothing). What else? ZOS making this game worse and worse, i wont be surprised if in next 2-3 years in crown store they will pull ONE-BUTTON-KILL-ALL stuff and after 4 years they will close the game just because everything what they doing looks like they want to get some moneys and they dont care for what, because this game isnt important for them, for Bethesda more important Skyrim Special Edition VR Cocaine and W-hores Remastered
I hadn't PvP'ed in a while but was excited to get back to it. While zerg-surfing it was pretty laggy (like slideshow laggy) so I broke free from the zerg and it got even more laggy (like 5 second delay laggy). So I decided to call it a night and before I could log off at my alliance gate, I was kicked. I'll probably give it another go but I'm reminded why I don't PvP anymore, because couldn't care less about fixing it.
I probably could have picked "hating it" but I'm hoping the poor performance may have been partially due to the server taking a *** a few hours before.
