We all know some fellow travellers are bots - elf on the outside and all dwemer cogs within.

A bug is a kind of insect that creeps into nodes and sometimes the bank and makes strange things happen - sort of like woodworm but more unpredictable perhaps.

These things they are part of our life yes? After all are there not stranger sights we have all seen in our travels?

Pretty sure it is but he has way too much Dust for sale. The most people I know got one maybe 2 dusts in the I whole game time. This guy got 384 for sale with another x Dusts in his crafting bag. There must be some kind of exploit or someone really wants to lover his capital.

Over the past few weeks I encountered multiple people in every zone who wanted to buy all Dust, sadly I can't remember the names so I'm not sure if it's one who bought everything or just some people who wanted to get some cp potions. Has anyone encountered the same thing on PC EU and can remember the names?

I heard someone telling same story about this one guy, wtb-ing everywhere in zone chats about dust, he is an officer of an german trading guild, also active on german forums and also highly active working against bots and he is selling the myth. aeth. ambrosia, since he paid a lot for the chiffre, like other people did. If its the same guy like another friend was yesterday referring to - then no, he isnt a reseller of Dust, or someone trying to buy up everything. He is just an ambrosia seller.

Its already brought to my attention by some russian "friends", that those people who brought that dust onto the market were known russian goldsellers.

just checked all guilds in carglorn and the goods seem to be sold already but lots of ppl sell the dust for the old 70k prices all over tamriel.

The same thing happened on console with both the Glenumbra Pig Farm AND survey exploit. In fact, I recall a few of the guildmasters of some of those trading guilds at the time encouraging people to get it while the getting was good.

And you know the wild part of it all...? While people were punished for the survey exploit, no one was reportedly punished for the Glenumbra Pig Farm. And that went on for MONTHS. Do you know how much Wax and gold could've been amassed in that time span? And that's before it blew-up into the next big thing, with people packing into that barn and AFK'ing.

Obviously, someone found a dupe exploit.
Hope, that EVERYONE involved would be PERMAbanned (not for lol 3 days)
And sure, that all damage must be cleared: all duped mats must be deleted on every account, even at "legit" buyers.
Without returning gold spent, sure.

Ok, but why they all decided to flood the market with it right now?

Just a reminder: there is no 1-10 items, selling in huge discount, there is no hundreds of items, selling with 10-20% discount.
There is a hundreds of items, selling with 50-80% discount!
Bot-masters would never do that - there is just no reasons to do that, since they can post A.Dust for 60k (instead of 70k) and it will be bought in seconds.

Not, such moves are only from dupers only - they are clearly understand, that they can't hide their dupe secret too long and prices would go down pretty fast, so they need to catch as more profit, as they only can until price for ex-valuable items would get down to the Guts price (or everyone around would be banned).

The only question: what ZOS would do with that valuables, that were bought by "legit"-buyers in hundreds?
If nothing - then ZOS supports dupers and exploiters.

I don't care how many mil of gold some legits spent on that items: they all are know the real prices for that items and clearly understand that something is wrong here.

Are they doing something about it? I suspect that they are, but not in any way that would be remotely considered a "timely manner". I wonder if, on consoles, they basically let Microsoft and Sony handle it. On PC, it is like there is one guy doing it and he works 9am to 5pm Monday - Friday, with an hour lunch, and he has been on vacation since April.

@Betheny It's kinda funny you say that. I always did find it kind of odd and a bit of a coincidence that things seemed like that always with these types of things. It's never handled swiftly, with an equal amount of punishments served. It's always after things seemed to marinate a bit, and more and more folks got into the loop of things. Then suddenly a ban wave of occurred of account suspensions for 3 to 7 days. The profits? All kept.

The personal thought of this one is that firstly they wish to make sure they get the right travellers and not repeat the recent mass bannings which caused so much upset. Better to take a little time and get things right.

They then need to identify and prepare to close whatever bug allowed this to happen.

They have then to decide very carefully how to handle the goods which have already been traded.

They then need to technically figure out how to do all this without causing a bigger mess.

They probably need to do all of this before they come here and post anything.

The guards do not catch a thief by announcing to all of Tamriel that they will be calling at his house in an hours time.

This one would rather they were busy with all of the above and is sure they will make a statement when doing so will not jeopardise the other things that must be done first.

Because, that guys with overprofits would go to buy another items, that weren't or can't be duped: valuable armors, weapons, glyphs, mats etc.
And prices for another stuff would get higher and higher with every day. I have no idea, how many years would needed to fix a damage from today's dupe if ZOS wouldn't fix it hard.

And it's not a "get good" situation. It's literally a time investment issue. Not enough time to invest.

But it also means you can make gold much quicker than on PC due to the higher price of everything you can sell.

You should be able yo easily make 150-200k an hour farming mats on console (and then just buy the ones you need). Everything is relative.

I am no expert but just because we can make 3x to 5x more gold on the consoles does not make us better off because we also have to pay 3x to 5x more for stuff. I would think in the end it all evens out... After buying/selling and whatnot we should be closer to the same % of profit (dealing in percentages and not actual amounts)

I am currious though if an influx of mats this size would hurt the console or pc markets more (or maybe it would have the same effect/outcome).
