May not be an exploit.

I personally found my first one within the last week. In a survey node. I do writs on 16 characters since homestead, 10 characters before homestead. In all the survey maps I have done I have never seen it drop, and I have done a LOT. It could be possible that they recently added it into the survey nodes and that never made it into the patch notes(or it did and I missed it).

That could explain an influx of people selling cheaper than they are worth and others buying them up in bulk.

Or it could be an exploit... I dunno. But I was really surprised to find one in a survey node.

And as far as the Kuta, Tempers, Rosin, Wax... Any person who does writs on all characters, on one or more accounts, has the ability to save stacks of these.

@Turelus , unfortunately completely true and already the items are spreading through Guild Traders as people sell on their "bargains".

I personally found my first one within the last week.

i found one in the early beginning of dust in the game also in a survey node, or i think at least it wa slike that. i earn each day around 8 - 10 surveys from my 14 characters, and i am doing them, not a single one dropped this week. even if there was a chance for them to drop, it doesnt explain 100, 200 or 500 or 1000 coming from one or a low amount of people.

I can actually post gifs with all of the craglorn guild traders (not only, just as an example cus its top location) and you'll see lists and lists of aetherial dust selling for 30k/ea when it used to cost 100/70k a week ago.

Not gonna do it though cus i cba erasing the names etc.

If it is indeed found to be an exploit, can we please get perma bans for the offenders? This 3 day vacation and keeping ill gotten gains is getting old.

well, when u erase the name u cannot show wether it comes from one or a couple of people. there are many single listings, some 5x listings atm, prices are falling ridiculously. but i know from someone who bought 100 from one belkarth guild. same time, when i came home 20:30 i recognized weird trading activities in my guild with alloy and wax and asked my neighbors about whats happening...and yeh, here we are. i am quite sure, some who thought its a nice deal might feel embarassed.

You can guess at what is happening all you want. Sending Zos the actual information and let them decide is obviously the correct way to go.

There are botters that sell wax (in the thousands) here on PC NA, but they haven't figured out a way to farm other mats yet (you see bots trying to farm nodes everywhere, but they end up going haywire). Looks like EU figured it out.

pc eu has a long bot and chinafarmer history meanwhile without zos reacting. prices of wax were already down a long time.

Not on PC NA yet. We have botters flooding the market with dreugh wax, but that's not a new phenomenon. I'm guessing EU botters figured out a way to program node farming bots.

Sounds to me like someone has found a glitch and are editing responses on the fly with something similar to "Charles Proxy", sure a bot could be responsible but the bottom line is unless some response is not being edited then the bot has the same rng chance of you or i of finding dust and there would be no way the market could be flooded so quickly.

Just because a few players have been buying up all of one rare material and then reselling it for a profit does not mean there is an exploit. Lol. If I listed 100 stacks of tempers just to liquidate for gold to buy stuff for housing or to improve my guild, that is no indication of foul play. Just because many players dont understand basic economics or capitalism, this doesn't mean those who do should be punished for being better at commerce. Keep in mind most of the best Traders in the game own the trading guilds and help balance the game economy.

We have a ton of botters here too. Dreugh wax is worthless.

They've been trying to figure out a way to farm nodes for a long time too. Every time I'm out farming I will see a bot running and jumping into a wall (because the script went off track). It looks like EU botters are just smarter.

That's the thing... They are selling it AT A LOSS. The items that are being dumped in mass quantities haven't been lower than they are right now.

They aren't selling at a profit, they are selling for practically free

Botters usually have an entire trove of accounts they unleash at once to farm the game world dry. Who knows how long they've been doing this for and then just started listing now.

You could be right though. We're all just guessing.

There has been documented sales of Aetherial Dust at as low as 20k in the past hours on EU, down from the 70-80k average price that has been going on lately, anyone who farms nodes alot knows just how rare these are to find and we are talking about hundreds of sales in less then a few hours.

This is definitely not a case of botting, so put aside that argument for now because there is clearly some form of exploit going on right now that needs to be adressed asap or the market will suffer permanent consequences.

Those things drop so weirdly. I've only ever found two, and strangely they were both in Bleakrock!!! One in a water node and the other I believe was an Ore node.

Them prices A stack of cornflower goes for 150k on PS4 eu, 1 dust for 90-100k, 1 wax around 9k, a stack of silk for 15-16k and so on.

The legit people who have a lot of gold are gonna make a killing from this regardless. Because once it's fixed, they're gonna more or less have all that *** stashed away unless ZoS can somehow differentiate between the legit mats and the ones we see above and remove them and the gold from the game.

The console market is inflated because you guys don't have master merchant/TTC (you also don't have botters who flood the market). As a result, your prices are around 2-3x higher than on the PC market.

Average PC NA prices:

Dreugh Wax: 3k
Rosin: 2.5k
Tempering Alloy : 5.5k
Kuta: 2k

Everything is pretty much already worthless. This exploit/bot wave will drive prices even lower than they already are.

It will take a LONG time for the market to rebound as it will be flooded with supply. It's going to be very hard for legitimate farmers to make gold on PC EU servers for the foreseeable future.
