The giant zerg guilds that never leave this campaign are a joke ,
to put it politely.

You want to run through a few times on your twinked out lowbie/new alt? Sure. Fine.
I can see that happening every blue moon or on a new update.

But to never leave?!?
Get a grip.

A fair amount of the time,
Those are brand new players you are mowing down.
Even if you say you "pug up players to help" ... What are you teaching them?
'Zerg everyone down with numbers and overpowered gear? '

I know this has been a community driven thread , supposedly, from the start.
So let's see more community and less twinked out zergs mowing all the new players that might keep the game afloat.

Pugs need groups and groups need leaders. Good leadership comes with experience. You could have the same issues on the other campaigns at least on Kyne you can use overland/crafted sets which are more accessible to new players. The gear margin is much, much smaller. This one personally has taken a select few under wing and taught the art of the subterfuge.

Funny, I was mad impressed with AD today. They had good momentum going too at Ash, and then we all got disconnected. That broke it. A few more tries at Ales and Ash and then they went to BRK to fight EP instead.

I'm not much of a PvPer, so maybe they were doing everything wrong and I just don't know it, but to me they seemed determined and brave, fighting about equal numbers that also had the keeps, emperor, and most of the scrolls. They just kept coming.

[I fight for the Covenant, which is not their fault.]

You can get decent gear just with the sets sold in towns in purple... Like the Morag Tong set is pretty powerful, and super easy to get at 12k AP per box. And 6-7 traits crafters are easy to find.

Isnt it funny how people think that those if us who choose to stay in bwb are all running around in gold gear? Ive been using the same crafted purple sets for years. Im even too lazy to try out those town set. I mean, cmon, Im not going to run all the way to vlas. Thats just absurd. Hah

Was rolling my pve stam sorc through bwb the other night. I found the emp by himself and killed him without any proper heals on my bars. 10/10 would kill again.

I've been playing with the town sets a bit, they can be fun and I prefer to spend 12k AP for specific purple sets than 5k for random blue sets of one of three overland set pieces. Also I found out that Tamriel Trade Center searches across all guild traders, so I've been getting out a bit of the same old crafted sets. I don't think for example that many people run the Ysgramor set in Kyne lol.

That being said my bank would give the people in Hoarders a run for their money.

@Xexpo some guilds stay because they enjoy teaching new players how to enjoy the game whether it's actual coordination or just relaxing and fighting with friends. Besides, no regular in this thread runs twinked gear so you're preaching to the choir.

Ha! Really have been wanting to try out the Elf Bane set to pair with my Silks of the Sun set, but Vlas was so far away from EP owned stuff... Tuesday our guild group of about 7 were just running around and I made a joke in zone "type wtf for Brindle raid". EP at the time, had the usual tri keeps (except the DC homekeep Chal) + sej. So we were trying to figure out what to do next and someone in group said... "you know, Brindle would be funny..." so, it got kicked around and we though, yeah, let's do it! So half an hour ride later, we PVdoor Brindle and claim it. Then we decide to hit Vlas and we take it... and I finally get a chance to buy Elf Bane. Bought all I could hold before I ran out of space... it was super inexpensive and I didn't know when I'd be back!

As a side note, we got slaughtered at Fare when AD had enough of our shenanigans...

I run all purple... am I safe?

But really, me in purple is about par with most people in green..

Your safe, lums haha. Everyone has easy access to crafted purple gear and if they complain otherwise, it's a lack of willpower not access. If you cant make it yourself, make crafter friends, join a guild, learn the traits, or convert that ap to gold. Plenty of options a fresh player can use and if they aren't willing to take advantage of these opportunities then they have no right to drag other players down who do. This isn't communism.

Ha! Yeah, I just can see spending those gold mats on sub160 gear. I did it once, though... On my stamblade lvl 46 I crafted a gold bow... That was pretty fun.... I am a bit ashamed to admit I horse ganked people from stealth with it and usually 3 shotted them before they could get up.... Everyone has their dark secrets...
