Even the best Raiding Guilds in the world, takes weeks/months before a "First Clear" in other MMORPG's. Raids in WoW literally take weeks before even the best Raiding Guilds finish the Raid, much less at the higher difficulties. They trained on PTS and did it there.Uriel_Nocturne wrote: »Morrowind has been Live on PC for just a couple of hours now.

Doesn't seem like much of a challenge there, ZOS.
Yes HM should probably been harder, on the other hand Hordor is the best raiding guild

Even if they were practicing for a month on the PTS, the fact that they were effectively cherry-picked by ZOS, then there were little/no changes to the Trial from PTS to Live, and they beat it in a couple of hours?
And yeah, Hodor was cherry-picked for this by ZOS. There's other dedicated Raid Guilds in this game, who barely got invites, or only half their Guild got invites. Coincidentally, HODOR seemed to magickally receive invites for their best/core members, thus guaranteeing that they would be "First" and have plenty of practice time before hand.
"Other Guilds could have practiced and put in just as much time as we did" Bull-***. Not when those "other Raiding Guilds" weren't given equal representation.
Not impressive in any way. This just smacks of ZOS "picking the winners".

@Uriel_Nocturne
You are wrong. very wrong.
I'm not even willing to argue this with you, but just let me ask you this question;
If we were cherry picked, how come another guild (that didn't even exist till a few days ago) cleared vHOF HM a couple hours after us? That non existing guild was cherry picked as well?
Congratulations to hodor . I'm Just a bit disappointed With hard mode , it took no time on pts to all the groups that finished vet normal mode already, so ppl asked for a buff but it seems was not enought, or?

My above argument still stands, PLUS the fact that a Guild formed on the very day the update went Live cleared it, means that the challenge is either:
1) Really low/non-existent
2) The Guild was "formed" that day, but is made up of people who were still able to test it on the PTS, and thus had practice time as well; and/or are very experienced Raiders in their own right, thus making a cohesive Raid Team was easier than it would be for most people.
The more that people argue that this should mean something (or even mean anything at all), given the circumstances of the "First Clear" as they are and what ZOS has done to cherry-pick the "winners" over the last month; the more this just makes the entire HODOR Guild look like a bunch of arrogant wanks who are deeply embedded in ZOS's favoritism.
This "Clear" means nothing. The "challenge" of this new Trial is a joke in comparison to... pretty much every other MMO on the market, and that entire *** Guild should be ashamed that they're trying to make this sound like it was/is something attention-worthy.

Dont ruin everything for everyone with elite content.

I never once mentioned or implied that I speak for "everyone". If it means nothing TO YOU, just let it go and carry on with your life.
The vehemence with which you try to demonstrate that it shouldn't mean anything to anyone, is quite puzzling.
It's an achievement in a videogame. A group of people worked hard (work on PTS is still work...) to get it, now they're happy and share it. What is it there that disturbs you so much ?
Funny how there are 3 NB on leaderboards

LOL It's not as if they've done a blind pug-run. They're organized and they prepared for weeks on PTS. Congrats are due, but use some common sense before throwing shade. This happens in WOW at every new content release, too, with hardcore progression guilds.

i disagree; not all guilds were allowed into closed beta. not all guilds were given months to practice. This is not a legitimate world first. That belongs to the next guild who had to wait to learn the mechanics after general release. This is a cheat. If this guild was allowed in as part of a test it still doesnt count. Funny how all of their members were in the closed beta. This doesnt mean they didn't beat it, it just means they were given an opportunity denied everyone else. If the next guild beats it in less time then they deserve the accolades.
xblackroxe wrote: »xblackroxe wrote: »First yes, after 60 tries in the PTS.
It's so sad to see this, in others games being World first takes some time because no one knows anything, in ESO you just have to download the PTS.
We also didn't know nothing the first time we cleared it on pts (also world first in both normal and hm may I add).
I just don't see your point almost all the people that do raid had their invites and most of the other good guilds ran hof often on pts.
Also its cute how people really think that everyone going into the trial blind now would have changed anything on the outcome.
You don't see my point?
I don't know you don't need to be a genius to understand it, those guys did world first but after a lot of tries in the PTS leaving others people who couldn't get on the private PTS without a chance, you think there's no difference then tell me a single game where a raid guild clear a new trial in the hardest mode 4h after release.
I wish this *** of letting people do the Trial in the PTS wasn't a thing.
I do see your point. I just don't agree. The people that had a chance to beat us were on pts and the ones that weren't don't need to kid themselves with the thought of actually having a chance.
Please, the PC community and 100 people is not the whole raiding community.
There's thousands of raiding guilds in both console and PC, I can see that you are in the guild itself so you probably know that your guild have a lot of fans from consoles, think about the unfairness none of them can even try it before release your guild had the chance of doing it a lot of times it's not even a real world first because you guys completed it on the PTS already that's how sad it is (I'm talking about Zos decision of adding the Trial to PTS).
Wouldn't you agree for a closed trial closed until maybe Friday 9th June? No PTS test and released at the same time from everyone?

Sorc Dps is the only way to go now.
How often does this have to be repeated? I swear I could post this every 2 comment here and ppl still would QQ about this. It was the first day and we started as soon as servers went online. People just went with what they new best and since that was sorc for the last few months thats what almost everyone went with.
If you wann see the actual balance maybe give us a week or two so we have actually time to get back into other classes to test without 500ping pts.

This is just a dishonest post. Hodor has been practicing the trial for the last month. You guys knew what group comp you were going to bring lol.

Yes and the pet nerf didn´t come till live patch. I just played around with the other classes a bit but not anywhere near as much as on sorc. This week I´m gonna test NB and see if it can actually compete again since I´m growning sick from playing sorc.
xblackroxe wrote: »EDIT: Also there is no group composition meeting or anything. Everybody is free to play whatever they want especially on the pts. Its just as I said. Sorc is what people are familiar with, its what was by far the best in homestead and wasn´t gutted so ofc it was the obvious choice for everyone.
