IIRC WoW typically has a few months time pass before their best raid guilds beat newly released Raids. There's really no way to spin this. The trial was too easy.

This is exactly why new Trials/Raids should not be released on PTS. Not to downplay your achievement but having the past few months to practice on PTS definitely dulls the shine from your award. Hopefully ZOS learns from this and keeps new PvE progression content off PTS in the future.

✭✭Just because I see this popping a lot, again:
There are 7 magicka sorcerer DDs because these were the best characters ready from the Homestead patch, not for Morrowind.
We knew when the patch would drop. Everyone chose the characters they were the most comfortable with and would guarantee a clear based on our current knowledge of highest performing specs, and magicka sorcerers were chosen not knowing what the actual nerf to pets would be.
Playing as a magicka sorcerer, regardless of damage changes, is still a safe bet since they provide high survivability, and damage is definitely not what matters for a first clear. You're still going to need firepower, but between high survivability and 10% less damage, we'd be picking the first option. You cannot deal damage if you're wiping the floor. You're putting everyone else at risk if you're dead. If someone's death causes a wipe, we have some boss fights lasting close to 10mn - that's an enormous amount of time considering some of the current trials are won sometimes by less than 5 seconds. Even if stamina NB was proven to be the spec pulling the highest numbers during the last PTS cycle, we would still have a majority of magicka sorcerers. Trying a new spec, however "meta" it could be in the next months was an unnecessary risk.
As Morrowind goes on and more and more people get to test builds out, experiment and discover specific mechanics, the meta can absolutely shift completely. Day 1 is still way too early to say which spec is going to be the best performing one. I could count on one hand the people trying out high-end PvE stamina specs on the PTS. We have an entirely new class to try out, and 4 with pretty big changes to them. We have to consider every possible sustain tool, from stamina steal enchants / poison to heavy attacks, thru cost reduction or stamina recovery glyphs, to trying the Camoran drink or even using actual sustain sets instead of damage ones. We have entirely new rotations to try out, new sets combinations.
There's a lot to be done.

The nature of this game puts the majority of a group's strength in knowledge of standard game mechanics and individual class mastery. The fact that a dedicated core team which already reached the pinnacle of that mastery was able to learn 5 bosses over the course of several weeks shouldn't surprise anyone.0 -

✭✭✭✭To be fair, the trial was worked out over the past month on PTS.
Basically they've had a month to work out the mechanics and to get their live builds as prepared as they can be so that as soon as they are patched they can smash through it.
Don't forget that there is no levelling and re-gearing required like a WoW expansion.3
