YAY maybe Xbox will have people in the no CP campaign now so i can be in there.

Non-CP on Xbox is a barren wasteland. And that's with only one campaign option that effectively forces everyone to gather together (rather than here where you'll now spread out that population among 3 other campaigns).

This is a horrible change. It just further demonstrates to the community that the ZoS combat team does not the ability to balance the game with a progressive system, which is the crux of any MMORPG.

People play (and continue to play) MMORPG's to advance their characters strength. Whether that's Paragon, or Champion Points, or a new item/gear setup... whatever. People play to get more powerful. Its why they are fun.

If CP is too strong, continue to balance it. But don't remove it.

Think about it. When you buy a new game and start learning it, what's the first thing you do? You level your character, and you acquire more powerful items and gear. Why it is so exciting? As you advance through the levels, you can see your character become more powerful. You don't mind farming new sets and new gear, if it makes you better and/or stronger.

So Haderus is going no cp basically is all this is. And new names for all campaigns. I only played in azuras, so now i have a choice between staying in azuras or going to haderus. 30 day campaign vs 7 day campaign. Im undecided atm, but i wonder how the players who played in haderus feel about this..

I wonder if part of the reason that Haddy is more populated is because it's more populated? I look at AZURAS but I see NO ONE in it, although I'd prefer to play NO CP, if there's no action, there's no action.

And this power creep should go on for...how long? I mean, I started playing during Beta, have lots of sets and CP so I don't mind getting more and more powerful forever. I am just curious how much more powerful than a new player I am going to be allowed to become using your obviously refined and well-conceived game design. When I can one-shot you with a light attack, is that powerful enough? Or can I keep going?

A balanced game allows the progression to continue without disrupting the end-game balance.

So a CP 600 character fighting a CP 600 character should feel the same as a CP 800 character fighting a CP 800 character.

They were already on the right path by making CP counter balance itself. For every damage tree, there is a reduction tree. And so forth.

There is nothing wrong with a CP 600 being more powerful than a CP 100. Its an MMORPG. If I wanted instant action balance, I would play another game type.

RIP Azura, you had the best name of all.

Also come on, wouldn't it be easier to just remove CP already? So many game changes to work around it.

The truth is they have not known how to handle "progression" since back in the VET level days... the CP looked like a balance disaster at launch, and it has lived up to that prediction.

It's a complicated design decision, how to add progression while keeping balance, and avoiding power creep that requires subsequent nerfs? It's not just CP tho, look at the sets introduced, etc.

PVP/PVE balance should ALWAYS have been handled separately.

That's a good point. Maybe, as there's currently a campaign for under level 50s, maybe they could make a campaign for CP600+ ? Just a thought.

Do you know what... I don't mind this change at all.

The no CP campaigns perform better anyway.

Plus with Battlegrounds being no CP it makes life easier just creating builds around a no CP ruleset thats then useable & reasonably optimised in both.

I think given those changes quite a few people will likely go the same way and switch to no CP... MAYBE that will create a bit of space on the CP campaign so its not as bad as some fear... I guess only time will tell, but way too early to proclaim the sky is falling (Yet again!).

    @BigES

Well me and a lot of people i have talked to only don't play in Azura because no one is there, when i go in there is no one to fight. so i welcome the change and many others do as well as i would prefer to play in non cp.

so i would not say the population shows who does and does not want to play no cp. it just shows who wants to fight other people vs who would rather solo cap a resource all day.

now people will have a choice starting from scrap and i would put money that non cp is more popular than everyone that goes back to the 7 day cp campaign. the only people who will stick to the cp are the scrub zerglings who when caught alone spam and aoe on you and die.

Speaking on behalf of Xbone NA (which honestly I have no room to complain compared to the rest), I've seen times where we've population capped the 4 CP servers and still had no bars on the No CP server... I prefer the 1 to 2 bar campaigns because I can't stand lag and Zerg mentality. I have no doubt Vivec and Shor will be FULL come Morrowind, forcing people into No CP servers... Not by choice just because the que times for those other two will be absurd.

Then again... I guess it would depend on how much BG hurts cyrodiil's population.

Well, this shift towards no-cp pvp is not ideal, but considering ZOS's inability to balance or even actively try to do so on a regular basis no-cp pvp is the most enjoyable and balanced form atm. The double ap event convinced large amounts of cp pvpers on the merits of no-cp pvp, though many prefer the campaign with the largest pop, the "main" campaign, so they stayed with cp pvp anyway. Perhaps, you'll see many of them spread to no-cp campaigns with the intention of playing on the same basis as bg's. It's a shame the endgame progression in ESO has become a nuisance that they're slowly attempting to remove, but if you've stuck with ESO pvp this long don't act surprised or upset about irrational decisions not in your best interest.

On Xbox everyone already play's in one campaign while the other campaigns are emp flipping/buff campaigns with the occasional campaign some go to escape the lag of Haderus. So if we're being honest here the majority of the pvp population already does what Zos is making the player's do.

You take the illusion of 4 different choices away & people get angry albeit they only chose one to begin with.

It doesnt really make sense, you could easy pvp from lvl3 or 5. Dueling is also possible at lvl 3...

About the only PvP I've seen on the PC/NA 7-day campaign seems to revolve around boosters farming for emp.

Haderus made a good tel var farm, get vigor/war horn / barrier on an alt campaign. For challenge and action True flame was the place to be.

Not surprised to see Haderus get canned for a 7-day non-cp campaign. Though I'll expect that the Tel var/boss farmers are going to be taking up residence in the 30 day CP campaign in Morrowind.

People complaining about how long the queues are need to realize that a huge amount of PVPers will be dropping Cyrodiil to play in Battlegrounds instead. So I don't think queues will be larger next patch. With BGs they'll probably be smaller. Also, players will start putting together no-CP builds for BGs. So it makes sense to add more no-CP campaigns so that players can use their no-CP builds in BGs and Cyro. Yes, it would be terrible to just have 1 CP and 2 no CP campaigns with the way things are CURRENTLY on live but with the changes in Morrowind I think you'll see less players in Cyro in general and many of those who do come into Cyro will be use to no-CP and have no-CP builds due to BGs. I do think that there should be a 7 and 30 day of each - luckily for us XBox NA players there is.

That being said, if there still is a massive desire for CP campaigns and PC players do end up getting massive queues for their one CP campaign I can't wait to troll them with "XBox NA master race."
