Eclipse : not fun for the target and still not versatile for templars

    Unbreakable CC is good when effect if strong, however what is terrible with current unbreakable CC is that purging/cleansing/mistforming it grant CC immunity with no effort.

    Guard eclipses on live reflect concealed weapon. Not sure about player eclipses on live or either kind on PTS. Don't really have the motivation to test since my results would have zero potential to change anything for next patch. I'll just be surprised.

    I might not have an adaptation available to my class to counterplay this ability next patch, though. Sigh...

    I don't believe player casted eclipse will reflect concealed, however guard eclipses will because they are still OP as hell. Taking resources without CP as a magblade is going to be.....quite challenging to put it that way.

    Yea I know live guard eclipses are the old version from like 1975 or something. I also saw that post from earlier in the pts cycle saying pts guards are applying their eclipses with 100% uptime because you no longer break free from them or receive cc immunity when they end. Again, haven't tested it myself, don't intend to. If testing means next to nothing for the company, then it means next to nothing for me too. I'll just see everything when it goes live.

    For the first time since ever, though, I might start unabashedly cheesing with immov pots and giving no ***s. :blush:

    Guard eclipses funcitn like old eclipse that would reflect any spell which included all class abilities.

    I'm dreading this change to be honest - so its not just magbaldes it impacts...

    I run a 'burst only' DW sorc build - with double-barred frags for more procs. The only other damaging skills on my bar are a low-health execute and curse..

    With this, I may as well just shield up until it goes away since curse is only once every 3 seconds - and it isn't gonna do anything on its own.

    The build is already almost borderline buried with Miats.. This and the new warden's reflects has me very worried for it.

    I also wonder if it will impact all the Eclipses that the guards throw out at outposts (which ALWAYS seem to magically appear just as you hit that frag button).. If it does, then I seriously doubt I'd even be able to solo a resource anymore without dropping an ulti.

    It's funny because they kept the sorcs ability to lock down all mag abilities in an area but removing chance to blind melee was OP lol. They got lazy.

    And now you know why add-ons should not replace dev sanctioned game balance lol.

    Edit: and you can't break free from the guard eclipse. At least when I tried.

    I want blinding flashes back and they can replace this skill with it. Makes no sense that a set like blessed is aloud to have it but Templars aren't. When they got rid of it ZOS said it was because they were removing that debuff all together from the game...

    I always looked at Eclipse as being designed around the ability to protect not just yourself but allies as well (since it requires an enemy and isn't just a self-buff). I would like to keep this theme going because a Templar (at least in my opinion) should be a formidable warrior of the light that also is focused on protecting their allies. This separates the Templar from other classes and fits thematically.

    I like the route you are going with the redesign but what if we kept Eclipse's reflect as something that also helps protect allies? Maybe even make an AoE morph that applies the bubble to enemies around you?
