Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha. All one can do now is to laugh at this crap. Was going to pre order when I finally got on the comp tonight but, yeah, nope. Now I'm sitting here trying to talk myself into not cancelling my account. I can't believe they're really going down this road. Still holding out hope that it gets better and not worse =(

I love what that one feller said (was it this thread or a different one, I can't remember) about them nerfing us to make OLD content harder and not design new content to be harder. Who the *** does that lol? Almost like a bad April Fools joke. Whoever is in charge of these decisions needs to be fired.
They nerfed magsorcs so hard stamsorcs felt it,lol - Somber97866

I'm blown away by the utter stupidity I see here on the daily. - Wrekkedd

    just brilliant. :/

Well Pets used to be absolutely horrible. Then ZOSed continually buffed them until they got tired of buffing them and just shoved on like 2x the Pulses and way more damage in one patch. All of a sudden they result in disgustingly OP AoE DPS.

People want this nerfed because it'd be better for it to become garbage again rather than OP if only the two extremes are possible.

Tbh I actually have faith in ZOS to properly balance them this patch. They have managed to do a surprising good job balancing DPS this patch and they're obviously shooting to have each class be viable and none of them too strong.

I also heard some change to syphoning attacks which will restore either stamina or magika after the uptime normally ends, and that even if you recast it early.

And still no changes for stam dk,the most boring and unoriginal stam spec. Ty zenimax for taking all the fun from my class. I'll roll a stamplar then.

They did say they bring some changes like reducing the cost of some utility abilities(maybe magicka costing, not certain) so it would make sense for them to use them also.

What irritated me is all the extremes everyone has to go through every PTS before they finally realize they pushed people too far with changes . There has to be a better way to handle changes then Golf analogies after a bunch of your player base splits in an explosion of frustration that could of been avoided . All it would of taken was better communication @ZOS_RichLambert . Now I knew this was going to happen because I've dealt with it since Beta but a bunch of your audience had NO CLUE you would eventually reel things back inline and that's because of the way things were communicated to your audience .

Giving vague feedback to the testing community that you like what's happening so far and your getting different feedback then the majority on the forums are just a couple of examples of this bad interaction . Then being silent the majority of the time just confirmed people's irrational fears . Why not have a ongoing discussion with the community and show people you are looking at all angles and will test their feedback ? I don't buy Ginas cover that there is no time either . Other Game producers do it daily with same work loads . Especially when every time you end up seeing the majority of your experienced testers were right and it went too far . There's no way you can like watching all this chaos every time . What you said today should of been said over a week ago . You guys didn't TeeOff aiming for the green . You shot the ball out of a canon across the street . Stop playing golf like Happy Gilmore before lesson !

Hahaha man that was a good one, are you a comedian?

Am I? Don't know what Sorcs in PvP are using since I don't PvP... just noting that there is a major nerf to Sorcs incoming as the devs seems to think that VF is the only ability that is OP with a Sorc.

1% of sorcs in cyrodiil use volatile familiar, so no sorcs didnt get nerfed.

That Grim Focus change will be a huge buff for NB's. I don't even play one, but they've been in the gutter for so long that it's good to see them get some love.

How? They made it happen every 5 attacks instead of 4, so it still takes the same amount of time/attacks. And we still don't know how it will fire. Together with the 5th attack in the same GCD? Or like you lose control for 1 GCD after the 5th attack so it can fire like a separate spell? The former sounds clunky too.

Grim Focus currently removes itself when you use the proc. It requires you to recast the skill in order to maintain Minor Beserk as well as the ability to activate the proc.

The buff makes it so Grim Focus will not remove itself when you use the proc. You will get multiple procs off per cast and near 100% uptime on Minor Beserk.

It's a big buff tbh and Magicka NBs were doing quite alright on PTS. Now they'll be there right alongside Magicka DK and Magicka Templar.

We only have to hope now that they buff Magicka Warden enough and that Magicka Sorcerer gets nerfed enough for all five classes to line up well DPS-wise.

This is actually partially false, on live, once casted you are guaranteed minor berserk for the buffs duration no matter what. Even if you fire the bow, the minor berserk buff lingers.

    Standard party rhetoric:

"Common practice is to overbuff/nerf and dial back changes based on feedback"

"Devs don't communicate because forum is toxic"

"Devs have all the data and know more than players on the forum"

"Unhappy players represent minority of population"

"Players just don't want to adapt"

    "git gud"

    "Pointless thread is pointless"

"I'm ok with the changes and so should everyone else"

I can deal with all the sustain nerfs added to the DK, but I'm still trying to figure out why they nerfed our only defining class skill of igneous.

Add all the pointless cost reduction they want but this is the main problem here and they aren't going to avert my gaze.

Nothing but ANOTHER band-aid "fix" to cover up a problem they implemented themselves. SSDD.

At least they are fixing it.

But.... do they skill only from mag stamina and weapon damage or do they finally scale from the most upper resource/damage type you have. As a dual wield melee magblade I do hope my light/heavies will also scale from my magicka.

I can use staff if not, but i don't want to.

Actually, this mechanic has been in place since the game launched. Players just had other places to get resource return.
    pattyLtd wrote: »

They did nerf the damage of heavy attacks, but no where near to the level of the increased light attacks. Light attacks will still take less time to pump out, and return NO resources. They have sped up the heavy attack animation, reducing both its windup/cast time and how much damage it did (one poster showed it did 330% the damage of the light attack) and giving it more resource return. Doing this, makes it possible to actually do more heavy attacks than before, returning more resources than before.

Game Update 14 just happens to COINCIDE with the launch of Morrowind, but will affect every player, even if they dont buy the expansion.
