Ditto right now. Not directly Grothdaar and suns but tested physical kraghs with automaton and shock dmg part of stormfist with netch. Damage stayed same.Voryn_Dagoth wrote: »Regarding Silks of the Sun: Being buffed by Major Sorcery already sounds really good, but does it now also buff Flame Damage proccing from sets, like Grothdaar?
As far as I remember, Suns only buffs abilities and inferno staff attacks, so did anybody test this? Or is my memory wrong on this one?
I tried sun in place of bsw last night in pvp. My whips went from 5 to 8 k to maxing at 2900. I dont believe the buffs hit this set. I think julianos is a better set if it does not in fact get the 20 percent buff.

it does get the 20% buff
believe us who did the test and the math, or test it yourself and prove us wrong (with actual numbers, and calculations pls)

At some point since Shadows of the Hist, ZOS made these sets take the buff before applying to our tooltips. I suddenly really want to use War Maiden next patch, even if I'll miss that line of health.
Gonna be hard to sustain though... I assume something like heavy seducer with war maiden jews and weapon/one shoulder (since you seem to like running heavy) and maybe like a mag regen head, be it heavy or medium. Maybe even stack breton with seducer for extra reduce cost and use ele drain or extra regen, hmmmmm

I did test it and posted it in another thread. I dont think it does.
I agree with that NB perform the best when everyone is in light and medium. The issue I give it 2-3 weeks before people switch back to heavy armor. Medium sucks (I run medium currently)and light is only good on magic sorc. Most classes/players just take to much damage in light and medium for it to be useful. Its going to be fun for a few weeks but when people switch back not as fun as many will think.NightbladeMechanics wrote: »NightbladeMechanics wrote: »@WhiteMage I retested whether Major Sorcery applies to War Maiden's 5pc on PTS, and it does! I hate heavy. Resisted using it all the way up until One Tamriel when I finally gave in. Barely ran it before then. Also heavy mageblade sustain will not be nearly as dire as you think next patch.
Light armor will continue to struggle against high damage levels and snares, but I have a couple builds in mind to help against those. I play whatever is most competitive for my class in open world 1vX and small scale. If those builds compete, then I'll stay in light armor. If light armor can't compete, like right now, then I won't.
I've been running light armor melee builds without Siphoning Attacks this week for fun, and having decent results actually. The out in the open, 1.6 1vX style builds. Those look promising.
I think mageblade will surprise people next patch once all the hysteria settles down. Mageblade functions well in light and medium armor metas, and there are workarounds to the Siphoning Attacks changes. We will see.

fine and good, but we miss 1 particular set here.
what did you do with silk of the sun?

Actually, the list is so absurdly long I refuse to dig up all the requisite information. Should you choose to investigate for yourself just look at your rewards for the worthy on a PTS template character.
