I've already accepted that I'll never get emp. The closest I've ever gotten is vetting-out at 7th on the leaderboard. And that was once. I don't play anywhere near enough to even think about trying for emp.

I've seen the EP top player swapping resources. And killed him 1v1 when he was emp. I think all the training against flag guards didn't do him much good.

I've also heard from multiple people I trust that the EP and DC leaders have been just swapping resources. Probably why I barely ever see either of them except when the DC fellow was actually trying to latch onto the DC pug zergs to crown. I'm surprised your alliance puts up with that. Please, crown folks that do things for your alliance. Even though AD has had some pretty mediocre emps of late, they at least are dropping FCs and siege for their alliance.

If I had to guess, I'd say the EP alliance point leader is a friend of A Kings and is likely new(ish) to PvP. King probably offered to help him get Emp and figured that would be the easiest way. I know A King is perfectly capable of getting himself to the top of the leader board through more conventional methods, which is why I think he's gaming the system more for the EP guy. Being top on the DC leader board just happens to be an added bonus, but unfortunately screws the second place guy out of the chance.

I think it's pointless to pad someone else's score just for the emp achievement. Why not just duel them and get them better at PvP so that they could get it on their own? It's not like they're going to enjoy it much if they're an emp that can be killed 1/2/3v1.

I mean, he was a stamblade that used revealing flare against me when I played a sorc.

I like crowning players that I see working hard on DC.

I remember one time someone I didn't know got emp and I TRIED calling him a cheater. I remember I was on one morning and he kept on getting tones of AP without fighting.

He whispered me, and my response was, "Get lost, I don't talk to cheaters"

Then he spent the time explaining how he was getting so much AP. I felt bad and had to apologize.

I recall actually seeing something about this in the next patch notes. I think they are going to put in a cooldown timer on resource O-ticks to discourage that sort of thing.

I guess my issue is when there is a huge AP gap between the 1st and 2nd place people. ( 300-500k ap) Especially when you see the 2nd place person at every keep defense and take. I just hate how the system is set up.

The EP leaderboard lead is guildmaster of a newer EP guild. Priases the Sun I believe it's called. Correct me if I'm wrong. So he has quite a bit of help from his guildies to help him get emp.

i know theres gonna be a 5 min timer on outposts ( at least thats what i read )

But seriously. I've seen small children handle being left out and/or losing better than some in bwb "Prime Time." So don't be so pretentious and high that you honestly believe that the only reason someone emp's at night is because you and your friends/guilds/mothers dog were not online to stop them. Get over yourselves.

Besides. The prime time players are not the extent of the "cream of the crop." While some are very good, yes. Some are also not as good as their ego's might like to think they are. Some of the most hard fought and fun 1v1's, skirmishes, and sieges I have encountered were late at night.

This is because 'Skill' does not have a bed time that it's mommy will ground it for if it stays up past it.

As for myself? Pfft. I'm average at best and just plain suck when it comes to "pew-pew-pew numbers" and making HP bars go down. Besides, I prefer to make FC's and Keep Walls go up and down. If only I could see the enemys' faces when they're in a stalemate or starting to get pushed back, only to find the outer breach closed behind them, their FC gone, and a barrier go off right in the middle of their last ditch ulti-bomb.

There's a reason friends and guild mates call me "The Combat Engineer," despite how lame and cringy it sounds.

Last but not least: No I'm not mad. Not I'm not salty.

I've simply become jaded, biter, and exhausted from having to deal with and listen to Ash Ketchum and Team Rocket everyday in Cyrodiil and on the forums.

In case you couldn't tell by now, I've long since ran out of *** to give about what people think of me. I'm not here to make friends. I'm here to have fun with friends I just happen to make. Because for every enemy you make, you also make a friend.

P.S. @Valen_Byte I'm not "A King." Take another look at the screen shots and try again. It's pretty obvious. Also, if you didn't care aong with 'everyone else' Why bother commenting and tossing in your 2 cents?

I've been thinking of Emping Little Miss Emily ( I dream of spamming ST and Take Flight ), but I am scared to become Emp. Right now when I enter PvP I turn into a beast and I couldn't imaging being there with special powers.

I can vision it now:

Day 1: Congrats Emily for getting Emp
Day 2: Seriously, Emily don't gate camp
Day 3: Emily, go to bed
Day 4: Omg.. she is still camping at their gates
Day 5: Everybody just log off, that will teach her to gate camp
Day 6: I defriended her.. she is such a B....
Day 7: I'm creating an EP/AD toon, enough is enough
Day 8: OMFG.. Emily! you have ruined BwB

Seriously? You know how many times I have played in IC? Often. I was in trueflame one time ( on my way to IC ) and DC was getting gate camped ( poplocked on all 3 faction ) and all I heard was "Everyone is in IC". I seen maybe 3 DC in the 2 hours i was down there. Yes, players maybe in IC but most the time it is just another excuse why someone lost.

I personally just use the bar as a tool, I know 1 bar could be only 5 players or it could be almost 2 bars, and 2 bars can almost be 3 bars. So in reality the 2 bars AD could have been almost 3 bar pop and DC could have crowned emp with one bar with only 5 players in the faction.

Hmmm... I never go into IC in BWB, maybe that is where all the EP are and why we are always on the bottom...
