I agree with @NightbladeMechanics on waiting until next patch, it's right around the corner. As to live right now? Yikes, on heavy armour/major mending builds etc it is crazy strong. That is just alone as well, not even counting group play..we'll see.

Pirate skeleton clearly needs to not affect shields, and not be purgeable by templars. Troll king is fine the way it is, nerfing it will simply make no one use it ever again.

Thinking about it some more, health regen builds and health regen in general are pretty obnoxious since you can't debuff that mess or interrupt it actively.

It's still overperforming on non-shielding, non-purging classes. My mageblade, as anecdotal evidence for what that's worth, becomes an absolute god compared to usual, and I use heals over time as my defense with no purge and healing ward as my only shield. The major protection from Pirate mitigates more damage than the minor defile will ever reduce in heals.

Removing it would ruin pve. They could simply apply global healing debuff wihile in pvp zone, which would tone donw all "troll" builds.

With Troll King u get up to 3k hp regen that cannot be toned down by defile. THAT+the healing u have from things like momentum vigor and anything else makes it impossible to kill you if u are in heavy armor.

troll king is 750 hps AFTER you health has been reduced and you got a heal below 60% hp.
if you combine it with heavy armor and other health regen buffs, sure, you can get very high health regen indeed, but you are also giving up damage and sustain for wearing more health regen. which is quite significant with the latest nerfs to sustain.
also, as i said, it can be completely nullified by bursting the target at the right time.
beeing unkillable in a 1vs1 situation is not very hard in this game. there are numerous builds/setups that can achieve this, and a health regen build is just one of many. there are a lot of builds that can achieve this AND do high amounts of damage.
i do agree that balance is all over the place in this game, but troll king doesn't stand out and is by far not the worst.

Troll king is used in PvE? thats news to me..

Battle spirit doesnt reduce health regen and is easily buffed but not easily mitigated. The only real counter to this set is to burst them from 100-0 but not every class can do that.

For example on a mDK my opponent who is wearing that set will have it up almost 100% of the time on its cooldown. How can you expect a class like that to fight for example a NB or Templar with high health regen as well? It is clearly over powered and needs toning down.

Simple as that.

Troll king's about as clearly an op set as possible, gives you a 2nd life with no CD cmon...should've been nerfed awhile ago. Pirate I feel balances itself out with the healing debuff, but it shouldn't apply to shields. EZ fixes for next PTS pass @ZOS_GinaBruno pass along plox

Again, Poison Status Effect cuts Health Recovery in Half if it still works the same way it always has.

Because this sounds like it wants to be on a healer/supporter, not a tank build.

No one would wear it.

The 1500 health regen is not a problem... But you factor in 20% for pots, 20% for class passive, 20% for champion points, 28% full heavy, 50% for orgnums. Min maxed this set can get you some really nice numbers. By itself the set is nice but not everyone can benefit from this set as much as you think they can. Health regen already has a nerf coming next major patch. Lets see how it pans out first shall we?
